Abstract

1. Christmas tree stand with a central carrier body (1) holding several equally angled supporting arms (6) in the form of a joint. The supporting arms (6) are formed by offset flat strips whose ends, nearest the Christmas tree, protrude to form clamps (14). These ends may be swivelled towards one another from a pivoted position due to the gravitational effect of the Christmas tree on the carrier body (1). The Christmas tree stand is characterized by the fact that the carrier body (1) consists of several regularly spaced flat strips (2) which are joined on the same level. Each flat strip is joined to a supporting arm (6) so that the supporting arms (6) are essentially bent half-way along their length, and this bend (15) has a section cut out (8) near the end closest to the clamps (14). Longitudinal flanges (9) are on both sides of the cut-out section. The supporting arms are tilted to form a joint with the longitudinal flanges (9) in slits (4) on the flat strips (2) forming the carrier body (1). The flat strips (6) serve as supporting arms. These are supported on the flat strips (2, 6) of the carrier body (1) and the supporting arms (6) are supported by spring elements (10) between slits (4) in the flat strips (2), on which the protruding flanges (5) are held, in order to form the carrier body.

Description

The invention relates to a Christmas tree stand with a central support body and on this offset by equal angular support arms, which have fixed clamp bodies at the ends near the Christmas tree and in which the support arms are held by a spring force in a pivoted position and by moving the support body against the spring force at the same time with the ends having the clamping bodies are movable relative to one another.

Known Christmas tree stands of this type (US Pat. No. 2,023,340, US Pat. No. 2,727,708, US Pat. No. 2,761,641) have, on plate-shaped or sleeve-shaped support bodies, pivotable support arms with clamping bodies which, if appropriate, support under the influence of the gravity of the Christmas tree press against the Christmas tree with a pressing force and hold it. In addition to the fact that the hinge joints used in the known Christmas tree stands for connecting the carrier body and the support arms result in a considerable amount of production and assembly work, the hinge joints are subject to wear and tear due to high mechanical loads.

The object of the invention is to make the connection between the support body and the support arms simpler and more stable for Christmas tree stands.

According to the invention, this is achieved by a support body formed by planar flat strips connected in the same plane and by support arms formed by cranked flat strips, which have longitudinal webs on both sides of a recess and which engage with the longitudinal webs to form joints in slots in the flat strips and that the flat strips serving as support arms are held by means of spring elements which are supported on the flat strips on webs which extend between the slots. Coil springs with extended angled spring legs can be used as spring elements, the spring coils of which extend through the recesses of the associated support arms, while one spring leg is supported on the flat strip forming the support body and the other spring leg is supported on the flat strip serving as a support arm. Appropriately, the one spring leg snaps into an expression or recess in the flat strip forming the support body, while the other spring leg is supported on the boundary surfaces of the recess. In the Christmas tree stand thus formed, the joints for the support arms are simply achieved by sections of the flat strips plugged together, which are connected by simply sliding one over the other with subsequent pivoting and are articulated to one another after the spring elements have been plugged in. The articulated parts, now with the thickness of the flat strips, give rise to a particularly solid and compact Ver Binding of the support body and support arms, which also make the Christmas tree stand suitable for supporting weighty Christmas trees. Finally, the elimination of the known hinge joints on Christmas tree stands results in a simple design and a wear-free holding together of the Christmas tree stand parts. In addition, the now simple assembly also means that the Christmas tree stand can be dismantled quickly, for example for space-saving transport and storage. All that is required for the erection is the pushing open of the flat strips serving as support arms, onto the flat strips forming the support body with subsequent pivoting of the same, and the plugging in of the spring elements. The connections can be made without tools.

It is possible to use any spring elements for holding the flat strips. It is also possible to introduce leaf springs between the flat strips serving as support arms and the flat strips forming the support body, the leaf springs being designed such that in the rest position they exert a permanent opening force on the flat strips serving as support arms. Finally, it is also possible to use torsion bars as spring elements.

In the Christmas tree stand, 1 denotes a support body which, in the exemplary embodiment, is formed by three flat strips 2 offset from one another by the same angle degrees in one plane. The flat strips 2 are firmly connected to one another by weld seams 2 'and take a center point 3 for the Christmas tree (not shown). At a distance from the weld seams 2 ', the flat strips 2, as shown in FIG. 5, each have two spaced slots 4, which leave webs 5 which serve as joint parts for flat strips 6 serving as support arms. The flat strips 6 are provided with an offset 7 and each have a recess 8 which extends over the offset 7 and forms longitudinal webs 9 on both sides. By pivoting the flat strips 6, approximately 90 degrees, the flat strips 6 can be pushed onto the flat strips 2 and, by pivoting back in the area of the slots 4, engage with the longitudinal webs 9 in the slots 4. The flat strips 6 defined axially on the flat strips 2 are over the length of the longitudinal webs 9 on the flat strip fen 2 movable. Since a displacement of the flat strips 6 is not desired, spring elements 10, for example helical springs (FIGS. 4, 3 ), are attached to the flat strips 2, 6, which engage with the spring coil 10 'in the recesses 8 and engage with extended spring legs 10''. or 10 "'on the boundary surfaces of the recesses 8 or engage in the recesses 11 of the flat strips 2 v- p . The coil springs 10 are thereby stabilized in supporting positions and bring about a tiltable but non-displaceable mounting of the flat strips 6 on the flat strips 2. The longitudinal webs 9 and the webs 5 remaining between the slits 4 form joints which are compact and robust and do not require any articulation axes. It is understood that by changing the spring constant of the spring elements 10 opening forces of different sizes can be exerted on the flat strips 6 serving as support arms, whereby the Possibility exists by simply replacing the spring elements on the Christmas tree stand large weights for Christmas trees.

In the Christmas tree stand of FIG. 7, the flat strips 6 serving as support arms are articulated on the flat strips 2 of the carrier body in the manner described above. Deviating, angled leaf springs 12 serving as spring elements are used. The leaf springs 12 are supported at an acute angle on stops 13 of the flat strips 6 and the undersides of the flat strips 2 and exert opening movements on the flat strips 6. By placing a Christmas tree on the support body 1, the flat strips 6 are pivoted against the action of the pretension of the leaf springs 12 for the purpose of holding the Christmas tree.

Abweichend der aus Übersichtsgründen gewählten Darstellung in Figur 7 greifen die Flachstreifen 6 um 120 Grad zueinander versetzt am Trägerkörper 1 an.In a departure from the illustration in FIG. 7 chosen for reasons of clarity, the flat strips 6 engage on the carrier body 1 offset by 120 degrees to one another.
