Abstract

A vibrator roller drum is split into two essentially identical part roller drums (1, 2), each having a central floor (3), which floors (3) are mounted on a supporting pipe (8) passing through the two part drums (1, 2) via in each case a prestressed cross roller bearing (5). The ends of the supporting pipe (8) project beyond the floors (3) and are sealed off by a supporting plate (10) in each case, which supporting plates (10) are connected to a roller frame in a vibrationally insulating manner via buffer elements (19). To achieve a differential effect on cornering, each supporting plate (10) carries, eccentrically to the supporting pipe (8), an independently drivable hydraulic propulsion motor (14) which is arranged relative to the associated floor (3) so that its output pinion (17) is in drive engagement with an outer toothing of the outer ring (4) of the bearing (5) of the associated part roller drum. Additionally mounted on one of the supporting plates (10) is a hydraulic motor (21) with output drive coaxial to the supporting pipe (8), which drives an unbalance shaft (23) mounted inside the supporting pipe (8) via an elastic coupling (22). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a vibrating roller with a frame for a roller drum divided into two partial roller drums, with a support tube passing through the partial roller drums, on which at least one roller base of a partial roller drum is rotatably mounted in bearings, with an imbalance exciter rotatably mounted in the support tube and one via an elastic coupling with the unbalance exciter in drive connection, which is arranged at one end of the support tube in a vibration-insulated manner against the frame, and with a propulsion device for the vibrating roller composed of at least one propulsion motor and a differential which acts on the roller bottoms of the partial roller drums.

In a known vibrating roller of this type (DE-OS 2 803 172), each partial roller drum is provided with two roller bases; the roller bottoms of the first partial roller drum are rigidly connected to one part of the support tube and the roller bottoms of the second partial roller drum are rotatably mounted on the support tube via crossed roller bearings. At the end of the support tube projecting above the roller bottoms of the first partial roller drum, a carrier is mounted via a crossed roller bearing. An elastic coupling and the drive motor for the unbalance exciter are arranged on the carrier, and the carrier is connected to the frame in a vibration-insulated manner via rubber buffers. The drive motor for the vibrating roller and a mechanical differential are arranged on the end of the support tube projecting above the roller bottoms of the second partial roller drum, the mechanical differential being in drive connection via vibration-isolating buffer elements with the projecting end of the support tube and with one roller base of the second partial roller barrel. Characterized in that the mechanical differential on the one hand via the support tube with the first partial roller drum and on the other hand directly with the second partial roller drum in drive connection, it is achieved that the two partial roller drums can be driven at different speeds when cornering.

The known vibrating roller is structurally complex. In addition, the load distribution over the entire width of the vibrating roller is very asymmetrical due to the arrangement of the driving motor and the mechanical differential on the outside of a partial roller drum, which has the result that an additional, laterally ge the correct driving torque, which requires constant correction when steering. This makes the operation of the vibrating roller difficult.

The object of the invention is to provide a vibrating roller of the type mentioned at the outset, which is free of laterally directed propulsion torques.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that the propulsion device has a hydraulic differential and the hydraulic differential is formed from two independently drivable hydraulic motors, which are each arranged on a roller base of a partial roller drum and are in drive connection with the outer ring of the bearings.

The vibrating roller according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that it is composed of substantially identical partial-drum drums, each of which is provided with a hydraulic motor which effects the propulsion. This results in an essentially symmetrical load distribution, and practically no laterally directed propulsion torques due to asymmetries in the load distribution occur when the vibrating roller is propelled. Due to the independent propulsion of each partial drum, a hydraulic differential is formed so that the mechanical differential can be omitted. The hydraulic motors are selected so that a special transmission gear is not required. Another advantage of the construction of the vibrating roller according to the invention is that the production is considerably less complex and that the partial roller drums are of the same design, so that the need for different production processes and special storage for different partial roller drums is eliminated.

It is known to drive the roller drum of a vibrating roller with a hydraulic motor (Losenhausen model W 1101). However, the hydraulic motor used here is a high-speed motor, which requires the interposition of a special transmission gear. Such a jacking device is not readily transferable to the partial roller drums of a vibrating roller with a divided roller drum, because on the one hand space for attaching the drive motor for the unbalance exciter is required by the transmission gear and on the other hand the transmission gear is not easily isolated against the vibrations generated by the unbalance exciter can.

Advantageous embodiments of the vibrating roller according to the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the figure, which shows a section through the vibrating roller according to the invention, and is explained and described below with reference to the reference numbers.

The figure shows the partial roller drums 1, 2, for example, in a frame which is only indicated; for the sake of simplicity, the connecting lines leading to the partial roller drums 1, 2 are not shown. These are carried out and laid in the usual way, so that no special explanation is required.

The partial roller drums 1, 2 are constructed essentially the same, so that the following description of the partial roller drum 1 also applies to the partial roller drum 2. The partial drum 1 is centered arranged roller base 3 welded, to the inner end of which the outer ring 4 of a bearing 5 is screwed, which forms a crossed roller bearing. The inner ring 6 of the bearing 5 is screwed to a radial flange 7 of a support tube 8, which axially passes through the two partial roller drums 1, 2 in the middle. The end of the support tube 8 projecting over the roller base 3 is closed at its end face by bolts 9 with a support plate 10 which extends over a large part of the roller base 3 and on the outer edge via a sealing ring 11 with an axially projecting outward from the roller base 3 Retaining ring 12 is connected. A hydromotor 14 (eg Danfoss hydroconstant motor OMS 200) is flanged to a holder 13 inserted eccentrically into the support plate 10, the output shaft 15 of which is supported in the holder 13 in a ball bearing 16. The end of the output shaft 15 protruding against the roller base 3 carries a pinion 17 which is in engagement with an external toothing on the outer ring 4 of the bearing 5. The support plate 10 carries over its surface on a support 18 distributed vibration isolating buffer elements 19 which are connected to the frame in a known manner.

Losenhausen Modell W 551).The partial roller drum 2 differs from the partial roller drum 1 in that the support plate 10 is provided with a central opening 20 and a drive motor 21, which is also designed as a hydraulic motor and is centered on the opening 20, is flanged to the support plate 10, the output shaft of which via an elastic coupling 22 is in drive connection with one end of an unbalanced shaft 23 passing through the support tube 8. The unbalanced shaft 23 is on both sides in the area of the roller bottoms 3 in roller bearings 24 stored. The unbalanced shaft 23 shown can optionally also be provided with movable swing pieces, which, depending on the direction of rotation of the unbalanced shaft, assume a position in which the excitation force caused by the swing pieces increases or decreases that of the unbalanced shaft 23 (e.g. Losenhausen model W 551).

The designed as a cross roller bearing 5 are preloaded in a known manner and are therefore not affected by the vibrations of the partial roller drums 1, 2, as the hydraulic motors 14 have proven to be insensitive to the vibrations vibrations.
