Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a process for the aftertreatment of fibers dyed or printed with reactive dyes consisting of or containing cellulose.
The new process is characterized in that the aftertreatment process consists of a sequence of alternating rinsing and liquor-free heat treatment processes.
This liquor-free heat treatment of the fiber is preferably brought about by the action of hot air and / or steam and / or contact heat and / or radiant heat and / or high-frequency heating.
In this liquor-free heat treatment, the fiber is preferably exposed to temperatures of 80 to 200 ° C. and in particular of 90 to 100 ° C., preferably for 0.2 to 10 minutes, in particular 0.5 to 2 minutes.
The fiber material is preferably used as a textile fabric in the process according to the invention, but it is the fiber as such, for example in the form of a spool yarn, can be treated according to the invention. The rinsing and the liquor-free heat treatment processes are preferably carried out from the inside to the outside of the fiber or the fabric.
The process is suitable both for washing out stain dyeings and for washing continuous dyeings and prints.
The new process surprisingly makes it possible to significantly shorten the time-consuming and energy-intensive washing-out process of the dye hydrolyzate after dyeing or printing, while at the same time saving water and energy.
The technical facilities necessary for the implementation of the new method are well known and can be easily installed in existing conventional dyeing and / or washing facilities. These are devices which generate hot air and / or superheated steam and / or contact heat and / or infrared radiation and / or high-frequency radiation.
Als Cellulose enthaltende Mischfasern kommen beispielsweise in Frage: Cellulose/Polyester-Mischfasern, Cellulose/Polyamid-Mischfasern.Examples of suitable mixed fibers containing cellulose are: cellulose / polyester mixed fibers, cellulose / polyamide mixed fibers.
Preferably 2 to 8 rinse and liquor-free heat treatment cycles are carried out.
The reactive dyeings suitable for the process according to the invention are preferably those which have at least one haloquinoxalinyl, halotriazinyl, halopyrimidinyl and / or vinylsulfonyl radical. Suitable reactive dyes are, for example, sulfo-containing, water-soluble, organic dyes from the series of the anthraquinone, azo, azo metal complex, formazane, oxazine and phthalocyanine series. The reactive dyes specified in the application examples are listed as examples.
- 1. Post-treatment of pull-out dyeings:
- After the reactive dyeing process has ended, the exhausted liquor is drained off and rinsed with fresh process water at room temperature for one to three liters. This is followed by an alternating direct heating of the material to be dyed using hot air, superheated steam, contact heat, infrared radiation and / or high-frequency radiation and a rinse pulse with cold or heated process water. After 1 to 5 such bursts of extraction, the extraction of the dye hydrolyzate is complete and the desired fastness is achieved.
- 2. Post-treatment of colored and / or printed webs:
- The dyed and / or printed web continuously runs through a washing line consisting of several washing compartments, in which compartments between the wet treatment boxes, optionally equipped with squeeze mechanisms and / or sieve drums and / or spray pipes, for exposure to steam and / or hot air and / or IR radiation and / or or high-frequency radiation are arranged, which allow rapid heating of the material web in the area of influence, the washing liquor used to extract the hydrolyzate diffused out preferably working according to the countercurrent principle. The wash liquor can contain the additives which are customary for washing reactive dyes. Examples of such additives are:
- A lkylnaphthalinsulfonate, mineral oil sulfonates, alkyl sulfonates, fatty alcohol sulfates, sulfated oxyethylated compounds, fatty acid esters of polyalcohols, oxyethylated fatty alcohols, oxyethylated alkylphenols, oxyethylated alkylnaphthols.
The product aftertreated by the method according to the invention shows an improved product appearance, particularly in the case of sensitive qualities, by protecting the material.
The moisture content of the aftertreatment fiber material during the aftertreatment is preferably 30 to 180 percent, based on the dry weight of the fiber.
