Definitions
- This invention relates to mechanical extraction boilers, of the gas suction cup type. It is known that boilers of the gas suction type, equipped with an extractor fan for the burnt gases, bring many advantages, because of their essential characteristic according to which the air necessary for the operation of the burner is taken outside the room where the boiler is located. These boilers, which can be simple (used only for heating), or mixed (used both for heating and for obtaining domestic hot water), operate in a sealed box, and the combustion of the gas delivered to the burner is independent of the environment in which they are installed.
- the permanent operation of the extractor fan is not entirely satisfactory, given, on the one hand, that it causes cooling which, in winter, is inappropriate due to the risk of freezing, and, on the other hand, that it constantly removes calories from the heating body.
- This invention proposes to provide a solution which overcomes these drawbacks, while ensuring effective ventilation of the sealed combustion chamber of the boiler.
- a gas boiler of the vacuum-tight type comprising an extractor fan for evacuating the products of combustion, and a temperature sensor for detecting a temperature rise, this sensor controlling the setting in action of said extractor fan when it reaches its switch-on temperature, to evacuate the combustion products.
- the present invention provides improvements to a boiler of the type mentioned, in order to solve the problems created by the permanent operation of the pilot light, and it is characterized in that said temperature sensor is fixed to the suction hood receiving the fan. -extractor, above the pilot light of the boiler, to detect a rise in temperature due to the operation of the pilot light, in order to activate the exhaust fan and ensure a cyclic sweeping of the combustion chamber.
- the switching-on temperature of the temperature sensor is chosen as a function of the volume of the combustion chamber and the time of saturation with carbon dioxide C0 2 resulting from the operation of the pilot.
- the burner 8 and its pilot 7 At the lower part of the heating body 10 are arranged, in a known manner, the burner 8 and its pilot 7.
- the latter supplied with gas by known means, not shown in the drawing, heats the thermocouple 9, still in an arrangement known.
- the burner 8 and its pilot light 7 heat the exchanger 1, on which the pipes 12 are mounted in which the water to be heated circulates (sanitary and / or heating).
- a temperature sensor 6 is fixed on the suction hood 2, above the pilot light 7, so that the products of the combustion of the pilot light heat the exchanger 1, the hood 2 and sensor 6.
- the extractor fan 3, mounted in the hood 2 is supplied with electrical energy, as shown in the drawing, on the one hand directly by the temperature sensor 6, and, on the other hand, by a device servo (not shown) controlled by the gas supply 11 to the burner 8.
- the fan-extractor 3 is put into operation either at maximum extraction or at reduced speed, when the temperature sensor 6 reaches its switch-on temperature, and it does not stop until after a given time which, according to invention is a function of the difference between the triggering and switching on temperature of the sensor, the thermal inertia of the support of this sensor (the hood 2, in this embodiment), and the thermal flow rate of the pilot 7.
- the operation is identical when the boiler heats sanitary fluid; the temperature sensor 6, requested due to the rise in ambient temperature resulting from the operation of the burner 8, continues to supply the extractor fan 3, independently of the general control circuit, until the sensor is cooled to its trigger value. This ensures post combustion of the combustion chamber each time the boiler is shut down.

Description
- amélioration du fonctionnement, dans les cas d'installations difficiles, en évitant la sursaturation en C02 dans la chambre de combustion ;
- réduction des pertes thermiques, comparées à un fonctionnement permanent du ventilateur ;
- possibilité d'éviter une montée en température trop élevée du corps de chauffe, résultant du fonctionnement de la veilleuse ;
