Abstract
Description
The invention relates generically to a method for the solvent treatment of in particular metallic material to be treated for the purpose of cleaning in a lockable treatment chamber, the material to be treated being introduced into the treatment chamber, the treatment chamber being closed and the material to be treated being treated with the solvent by spraying, and the injected solvent is caught. Such a solvent treatment is in particular the degreasing of objects which are then further processed by electroplating.
Within the framework of the measures known from practice, the so-called dilution principle involves working with several treatment stages, mostly in several treatment chambers, but in any case with several containers for the solvent and with associated devices for treating the material to be treated by spraying. The solvent is passed through the various treatment stages and is increasingly loaded with the substances to be detached from the material to be treated, while the material to be treated, as viewed in the process flow diagram, is carried out as it were in countercurrent. In the last stage, the material to be treated is treated with pure or with the least loaded solvent.
The known measures are complex, particularly in terms of apparatus. Otherwise, only a limited degree of purity can often be achieved. Finally, a considerable solvent concentration remains in the treatment chamber, which is released in a polluting manner when the treatment chamber is opened or which must be kept with the help of cold traps or the like.
In contrast, the invention has for its object to carry out the generic method so that an arbitrarily high degree of purity can be achieved, without the need for equipment required when working according to the dilution principle.
To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the material to be treated is treated with pure solvent, the amount of which is such that spraying is possible in a circuit realized by means of a pump, that the collected solvent is then removed and the material to be treated is dried with warm air, and that it is then rinsed with room air until the solvent concentration is below the maximum workplace concentration, only then is the treated material removed and the treatment chamber is re-loaded. The warm air is generally circulated during the drying measure and can be freed of entrained solvent vapors during or afterwards. Where a particularly high degree of purity is desired, the invention teaches that the Be material is treated several times with pure solvent before the material to be treated is dried and rinsed with ambient air. It is within the scope of the invention to precede the cleaning treatment described with a pre-cleaning which is preferably carried out with the solvent which has already worked as a pure solvent in the process according to the invention. The solvent used for pre-cleaning can then, for. B. by distillation, processed and used again for the process according to the invention.
The method according to the invention can be carried out as a single-chamber method, the treatment chamber itself being loaded and emptied directly. To this end, the invention teaches that the treatment and drying of the material to be treated are carried out in the treatment chamber, which is then rinsed with room air and opened after the rinsing for the purpose of loading and / or emptying. However, the method according to the invention can also be carried out as a two-chamber method with the charging and emptying chamber connected upstream of the treatment chamber. In this sense, the invention teaches that the treatment and drying of the material to be treated are carried out in the treatment chamber which is connected to a loading and emptying chamber, with a closure (door closure, slide closure, flap closure) between the treatment chamber and the loading and emptying chamber or cold seal or the like) is arranged, and that the dried material to be treated is introduced into the loading and emptying chamber and this is flushed with room air. The loading and emptying chamber is expediently closable and remains closed when flushing with room air until the flushing process has ended. Only then is it opened for the purpose of emptying and reloading. After purging, the room air can be cleaned using activated carbon, but if the process is implemented in a small system, it can also be blown off directly over the roof. Depending on the conditions and concentrations, work can be carried out with or without suction. The usual cold traps can also be used within the scope of the invention.
The advantages achieved can be seen in the fact that in the method according to the invention a predetermined degree of purity of the material to be treated can be achieved with certainty, even if the material to be treated is treated several times with pure solvent before the material to be treated is dried and rinsed with ambient air. This is a considerable procedural advantage, which can be achieved in terms of equipment with little effort, since the multiple treatment chambers and the associated facilities, which have to be installed if the dilution principle is used, are eliminated. It goes without saying that the solvent which is used in the process according to the invention is reprocessed, e.g. B. using conventional distillation, so that it can then be used again as a pure solvent.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of a plant which is set up for the method according to the invention.
The first figure shows a
