Dabei ist bei dem Kunststoffteil nach Fig. 3 und 4 eine wellenförmig versteifte Stirnwand 8 vorgesehen, während das Kunststoffteil nach den Fig. 5 bis 7 eine glatte Kunststoffwand 8 aufweist. Fig. 6 zeigt auch, daß zwischen den Rippen 9 aus Stabilitätsgründen ein zusätzlicher Quersteg 15 vorgesehen sein kann. Claims (7)

1. Drossel oder Transformator in Mantelbauweise und mit in Drossel- bzw. Transformatorlängsrichtung geschichtetem Kernpaket, insbesondere zur Verwendung als Vorschaltgerät für Gasentladungslampen, wobei das Kernpaket auf einer Montageplatte sitzt, mit einer auf den Kern aufgesetzten,gegenüber diesem isolierten, freitragend gewickelten Spule, deren Wickelköpfe das Kernpaket stirnseitig überragen und durch Isolierstoffteile mit wenigstens einer Stirnwand und wenigstens einem zwischen Kernpaket und Wickelköpfe ragenden Teil zusammen mit der Montageplatte berührungssicher abgedeckt sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß auf das Kernpaket (4) ein U-förmiges Gehäuseteil (6) aufgesetzt ist, das das Kernpaket (4) beidseitig um wenigstens etwa die Wickelkopfausladungen überragt, und daß die Isolierstoffteile aus an beiden Stirnseiten des U-förmigen Gehäuseteils (6) angeordneten, die Wickelköpfe (5) zusammen mit der Montageplatte (2) und dem U-förmigen Gehäuseteil (6) berührungssicher abdeckenden Kunststoffteilen (7) bestehen, die aus einer Stirnwand (8) an der Stirnseite des U-förmigen Gehäuseteils (6) und aus zwei L-förmigen, an deren Oberkante angesetzten und wenigstens über die Höhe der Spule in den Zwischenraum zwischen Spule und Kernpaket (4) ragenden Rippen (9) bestehen, welche ihrerseits einen Außenabstand etwa gleich der Kernbreite und einen ihre freien Enden verbindenden Quersteg (10) aufweisen.1.
