Description

The invention relates to a bulk packaging made from a one-piece blank of cardboard or the like, containing at least four conical containers arranged in two rows, with a cover surface resting on the containers and a bottom surface connected thereto via end and side parts.

Known bulk packaging of this type, e.g. B. according to FR-PS-2196630, enclose the container completely on all six sides, the top and bottom surfaces of the packaging are the same size, as are the two side parts and the two end parts. This creates a collective packaging that only differs in appearance from a closed folding box in that it has rounded corners. With such a multi-piece packaging, there is no possibility of recognizing the number, shape or size of the units contained therein. The blanks for the known bulk packaging are delivered flat and only folded around the container in the packaging machine and connected to the finished multi-piece packaging.

No. 3,746,245 shows a collective packaging which consists of a blank folded around the container and a carton partition inserted between the containers.

In the manufacture of this known bulk packaging, the containers are first placed on the floor of the flat blank, then the two-part carton partition is erected and inserted between the containers, and two side parts of the blank are folded upwards and the two cover surface parts articulated thereon onto the surface of the containers placed. Then the two further side parts are also folded upwards, the flap adjoining each of these side parts with hooking parts articulated thereon are folded over and the hooking parts are locked in openings in the top surface.

Although such packaging reveals its contents, it can only be produced with relatively great mechanical outlay.

The object of the present invention is to provide a bulk packaging for preferably conical containers, which is delivered to the packaging company in a pre-glued form as an already finished wrapper. In addition, the completed multi-piece pack should enable the type, number and size of the containers combined with it to be recognized.

This object is achieved in that the top surface of the bulk packaging is larger than the bottom surface, which has tabs formed by cut lines and crease lines, that the front parts each consist of two sections which are connected to one another via a fold line that runs horizontally when erected, from which one fold line has the same distance from the center of the top surface as the other fold line from the center of the bottom surface and that the width of the front parts and the side parts is slightly larger than the average diameter of a container to be placed in the collective packaging.

With such a packaging, the blank, as shown in FIG. 2, can be delivered to the packaging company in a pre-assembled form. The bulk packaging can be quickly and efficiently completed there simply by mechanically setting up the wrapping, simultaneously inserting the two rows of containers and closing them by folding and gluing the two side parts to the tabs. The recesses formed at the corners of the bulk packaging due to the small width of the front and side parts make it possible to recognize the combined containers.

An optimal fixing of the containers in the bulk packaging can be achieved in that, according to the invention, the flaps are folded in between the containers in the bottom surface around the crease lines.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing using an exemplary embodiment. Show:
  • FIG. 1 shows a flat blank made of cardboard for the production of the bulk packaging,
  • Figure 2 shows a section through a prefabricated blank for the manufacture of the packaging and
  • Figure 3 is a perspective view of a package for four containers.

The blank shown in Fig. 1 is intended for the production of a collective packaging for four containers. It consists of a square top surface 1 with rounded corners, which is connected via a first end part 6 to a square bottom surface 13 with likewise rounded corners. The radii of the rounded corners of the top surface 1 are adapted to the radii of the container top parts, the radii of the rounded corners of the bottom surface 13 to the radii of the container bottoms.

The front part 6 is divided by a fold line 7 into a section 60 articulated on the cover surface 1 via a fold line 5 and a section 61 articulated on the bottom surface 13 via a fold line 12. On the side of the cover surface 1 opposite the first end part 6, a second end part 3 is connected via a fold line 2, which is divided by a fold line 4 into a section 30 adjoining the cover surface 1 and a section 31 facing away from the cover surface. On the other two sides of the top surface 1 two side parts 9 and 11 are articulated at right angles to the end parts 3 and 6 via fold lines 8 and 10. Both the front parts 3 and 6 and the side parts 9 and 11 have a slightly larger width than the average diameter of one of the containers combined in the finished collective packaging.

On each of the three sides of the bottom surface 13, which are not directly connected to the top surface 1, a flap 15, 17 and 19 is articulated via a fold line 14, 16 and 18. The bottom surface 13 also contains four tabs 20, which are formed by cut lines 22 and crease lines 21.

Fig. 2 shows a section through a pre-assembled blank, which is provided for the production of a collective packaging. The blank is folded around the two fold lines 4 and 7, the top surface 1 and the bottom surfaces 13 are thus partially on top of each other. The section 31 of the end part 3 facing away from the top surface 1 is glued to the tab 15 in a surface section 25.

Durch die Ausnehmungen in den Ecken der Sammelverpackung sind Teile der Behälter 23 sichtbar.3 shows the bulk packaging for four containers 23 produced from the blank according to FIG. 1. The blank lies with its top surface 1 on the upper container parts, front and side parts and the bottom surface are folded around the containers. The section 31 of the end part 3 facing away from the top surface 1 is glued to the tab 15 which is only visible in FIGS. 1 and 2, the side part 9 is connected in an overlapping manner to the tab 17 which is also visible in FIG. 1. Parts of the container 23 are visible through the recesses in the corners of the collective packaging.
