Claims (10)

1. An artificial insemination device, of the type comprising, on the one hand, inside a housing (1), a cylindrical guidance passage (3) for means (4) for ejecting semen, and, on the other hand, a semen reservoir tube (14) connected by retaining means (11, 16d) to a portion (2a) integral with the said housing (1), the said portion (2a) projecting at the front face (1 a) of the housing (1) and being traversed by the said passage (3), the reservoir tube (14) and the retaining means (11, 16d) being situated in front of the front face (1a) of the housing (1) with the reservoir tube (14) positioned coaxially with the said passage (3) and extending beyond the projecting portion (2a), characterised in that the said means (11, 16d) for retaining the reservoir tube (14) on the projecting portion (2a) extend plumb with the rear end (14a) of the reservoir tube (14), which rear end (14a) engages by fitting over one said retaining means constituted by a bearing surface (11) provided on the projecting portion (2a), in that the said retaining means comprise, apart from the said bearing surface (11), a portion (16d) of a clamping part (16) allowing, by nipping between itself and the bearing surface (11), the retention of the rear end (14a) of the reservoir tube (14) on the bearing surface (11), this clamping part (16) having, moreover, an elongate portion (16c) which surrounds a limited portion of the length of the reservoir tube (14), equally in the region of the rear portion of this latter, thus opposing any significant deformation of the reservoir tube (14), and in that the front end (14b) of the reservoir tube (14) has a convergent or rounded form.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the inside diameter of the reservoir tube (14) is considerably greater than that of the cylindrical guidance passage (3).
3. A device according to claim 2, characterised in that the projecting portion (2a) integral with the housing (1) has, externally and successively along the axis of the guidance passage (3), the bearing surface (11) for retaining the reservoir tube (14) and a free cylindrical surface (12) of a diameter less than the inside diameter of the reservoir tube (14).
4. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the projecting portion (2a), integral with the housing (1), has externally a retaining bearing surface of frustoconical form (11) and in that the retaining portion (16d) of the clamping part (16) is constituted by an annular internal surface (16d) co-operating with this bearing surface (11), the clamping part (16) being retained, moreover, be means for connection (8, 16a) to the housing (1).

A device according to claim 4, characterised in that the connection means (8, 16a) are constituted by a threaded external surface (8), provided on the said projecting portion (2a) between the retaining bearing surface (11) and the housing (1), on which is screwed an internally-threaded union (16a) integral with the said clamping part (16).
6. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the elongate portion (16c) of the clamping part (16) comprises a cylindrical central passage of a diameter approximately equal to the outside diameter of the reservoir tube (14) save for a slight play (e).
7. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the reservoir tube (14) has, at its front end, a frustoconical convergent portion (14b) which ends in a tip (14c) which is folded internally.
8. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the guidance passage (3) is provided in a block (2) which is fixed on the front face (1a) of the housing (1) and which has the said projecting portion (2a).
9. A device according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the annular internal surface (16d) of the clamping part (16) has, on the side of the housing, a rounded edge.
10. A device according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the rear end (14a) of the reservoir tube (14) has a longitudinal slot.
