Description

The invention relates in particular to a sound absorbing element such. B. in rooms serving body with a mineral fiber tube shell, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such sound absorbing elements are known from DE-OSen 27 25 398 and 29 32 473 and consist of a length of a mineral fiber tubular shell, the surface of which has a protective covering made of an elastic network structure, in particular a knitted fabric, and the end faces of which have covers in the form of rigid covers are provided. The covers overlap the end faces of the mineral fiber tube shells and are on the end faces in the axial direction of the tube shells. secured position. The radial securing of the position takes place via a circumferential axial wall section of the cup-shaped cover, which overlaps the section of the outer wall of the pipe shell adjoining the end face. The cover is pressed onto the end face of the pipe shell via a holding element similar to a tie rod, such as a threaded rod, the counter-holding of the threaded rod generally being carried out on a corresponding cover on the opposite side of the pipe shell.

Due to the way in which such mineral fiber tube shells are manufactured, the mandrel opening has an exact calibration determined by the mandrel, but the outer circumference of such a mineral fiber tube shell is relatively irregular with diameter deviations and out-of-roundness. The result of this is that, of course, the exactly round peripheral edge of the cover does not always exactly follow the contour of the outer circumference of the pipe shell, but unsightly gaps or remaining visible edges of varying width remain. It is only through the direct visual comparison with the exactly round shape of the edge of the cover that dimensional deviations in the outer circumference of the mineral fiber tube shell become optically significant. This problem occurs regardless of the specific use of the body whenever a tubular body such as a mineral fiber tube shell with dimensional inaccuracies in the outer circumference is to be covered on the end face by such a cover.

Furthermore, the outer edge of the cover formed by the axial wall section is the radially most protruding part of the body thus formed. If a plurality of bodies with a horizontal longitudinal axis of the pipe shell are to be stacked one on top of the other, the cover edges of adjacent bodies formed by the axial wall sections lie against one another with a correspondingly exact alignment. However, since the axial wall sections of the cup-shaped cover have a comparatively short axial length, it is practically inevitable, for example, due to vibrations during transport that the cover edges become out of alignment and in this way individual cover edges come to rest on the unprotected pipe shell or its covering of the adjacent body . In the event of relative movements, the outer wall of the pipe shell or the casing can be damaged as a result. In practice, therefore, the known bodies of this type have to be kept at a distance from one another by spacers, which causes additional costs.

The invention has for its object to provide a body of the type outlined in the preamble of claim 1, the dimensional deviations of its outer circumference do not appear visually disturbing.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

Because the cover has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the mandrel opening, there is no need for any outer edges that optically follow the contour of the outer circumference of the mineral fiber tubular shell and thus make irregularities in the outer circumference of the mineral fiber tubular shell optically visible. Without such an outer edge, which projects radially beyond the mandrel opening, however, the cover is no longer secured in position in the axial direction on the end face of the tubular shell. The axial securing of the position is carried out according to the invention by a special support device which supports the cover with supporting parts projecting radially inwards from the peripheral wall of the winding mandrel opening. In this way, the axial securing of the position of the cover is moved from the front edge region of the winding mandrel opening into the winding mandrel opening.

Visually, the shape of the peripheral edge of the lid only appears in direct relation to the mandrel opening, which, however, is also manufactured precisely so that the appearance is not impaired. Furthermore, the cover lies radially far inside the peripheral outer wall of the pipe shell, so that this is the peripheral boundary of the body thus formed. This avoids during storage and stacking of the body that the lid of one body comes into contact with parts of an adjacent body that are susceptible to damage, so that simple stacking without spacers is possible without problems.

Die Unteransprüche haben vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung zum Inhalt. The dependent claims contain advantageous developments of the invention.

Further details, features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of an embodiment with reference to the drawing.

It shows
  • 1 shows an axial section through an end section of a body according to the invention provided with a cover, and
  • Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the support ring used in the body of FIG. 1.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, a body according to the invention has a mineral fiber tube shell 1 with an inner mandrel opening 2 and an essentially cylindrical outer wall 3, for example as a sound absorbing element. To produce such a mineral fiber tube shell 1, mineral fiber material is wound around a mandrel so that the peripheral wall of the mandrel opening 2, designated 4, is smooth and dimensionally stable, while the outer wall 3 remains relatively irregular with dimensional deviations and out-of-roundness at the end of the winding process.

Anhand des axialen Wandabschnittes 6 erfolgt die radiale Lagesicherung des Deckels 5 in der Wickeldornöffnung 2.In the mandrel opening 2, a cover 5 is inserted, which is adapted to the diameter of the mandrel opening 2 with little play and fitted into this. The cover 5 has a round circumference and a bowl shape with an axial wall section 6 adjoining the radial main body, which is directed inwards from the end face of the mineral fiber tube shell 1, designated 7, towards the central region thereof. The radial securing of the position of the cover 5 in the mandrel opening 2 takes place on the basis of the axial wall section 6.

To axially secure the position of the cover 5, a support device 8 is arranged on the circumference of the mandrel opening 2, as is shown individually in FIG. 2. The support device 8 has a support ring 9, which has a slight oversize compared to the axial wall section 6 of the cover 5 and, on the other hand, has a small undersize compared to the mandrel opening 2. The support ring 9 is made, for example, of sheet metal and has an axial height h which gives the support ring 9 sufficient strength against deformation in the axial direction. The support ring 9 has a plurality of support parts 10 projecting inwards from the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2, on which the free edge of the axial wall section 6 of the cover 5 rests. The support parts 10 are formed in one piece with the support ring 9 in the example and can be produced in a simple manner in that a corresponding material portion is tongue-like separated from the main body of the support ring 9 and then bent inwards, so that in the main body of the support ring 9 in the circumferential region of the Support parts 10 corresponding cutouts 11 remain, which are harmless.

In the usual way, the cover 5 has a passage opening 5a for a holding element similar to a tie rod, for example in the form of a threaded rod 12, with which the cover 5 is pulled inwards away from the end face 7 of the mineral fiber tube shell. With a projecting end 12a, the threaded rod 12 can serve to support the body in a lying position or can carry a hanging eye for hanging the body. As a rule, the cover 5 is braced via the threaded rod 12 against a corresponding cover at the opposite end of the body.

In any case, the support device 8 with the support parts 10 ensures that the cover 5 is supported in the region of the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2, so that cover elements for the end face 7 extend Such an axial support can be dispensed with and in particular the axial wall section 6 is moved inward from the area of the cylindrical outer wall 3 into the area of the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2, so that it can neither interfere optically nor cause damage to adjacent bodies during storage .

The support ring 9 of the support device 8 is supported in relation to the mineral fiber tubular shell 1 in the example by means of a plurality of bearing parts 13, which in the manner shown in FIG. 1 are pierced into the material of the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2 and have radial recesses 14 for this purpose . The grooved tongues 14 pass through appropriately designed, slot-shaped openings 15 through the support ring 9, so that the support ring 9 can be supported over the edges of the openings 15 on the rear parts of the grooved tongues 14 protruding from the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2. At the radially inner end of the piercing tongues, mounting tongues 16 are formed on the bearing parts 13, which are angled at a right angle and can, given a corresponding width, be given an arc-shaped curvature approximating the curvature of the support ring 9 and lie essentially flat against the inside of the support ring 9. The assembly tongues 16 serve first to facilitate the correct assembly of the bearing parts 13 in that the insertion tongues 14 are pierced by pressure on the assembly tongues 16 until the assembly tongues 16 strike the inside of the support ring 9. In this position it is ensured that the piercing tongues 14 are inserted as far as possible into the mineral fiber material behind the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2 and thus offer the best possible hold there, while on the other hand it is ensured that the edges of the openings 15 of the support ring 9 are actually clean can base on the indentations 14.

If the mounting tongues 16 are freely in the assembled position of the support device 8 without contact with parts of the cover 5 on the inside of the support ring 9, the mounting tongues 16 make no additional contribution to stabilizing the exact radial position of the insertion tongues 14. It has been shown that even in such a case, a slight swiveling out of the grooved tongues 14 from a radial position occurs under the load of the tensioning of the cover 5, since the fulcrum of such a pivoting movement is very close to the outside of the support ring 9, so that the forces from the support ring 9 are present very small lever arm can be initiated. On the other hand, a slight pivoting movement of the grooving tongues 14 with their outer ends in the example of the illustration according to FIG. 1 upwards is irrelevant, since the support point of the axial wall section 6 of the cover 5 at the inner ends of the grooving tongues 14 only during the transition to the mounting tongues 16 undergoes a very slight axial change in position.

However, the mounting tongues 16 can be used in the manner shown in FIG. 1 for additional stabilization of the bearing parts 13 in that the mounting tongues 16 reach at least one of their end regions in the gap between the axial wall section 6 of the cover 5 and the inside of the support ring 9 , so that the mounting tongues 16 in the assembled position by the axial wall section 6 of the cover 5 are positively held in their abutment on the inside of the support ring 9. As a result, the bending stiffness of the angular range between each mounting tongue 16 and the associated piercing tongue 14 can be achieved for further stabilization of the position of the piercing tongues 14, if this is desired.

The outer edge of the support ring 9 closes the essential 'chen approximately flush with the end face 7 of the mineral fiber tube shell 1 ab.und thus acts as additional protection for the edge between the end face 7 and the peripheral wall 4 of the mandrel opening 2. The axial distance h 1 between the support plane of the support parts 10 and the upper edge of the support ring 9 or the end face 7 can be chosen according to the axial height h 2 of the axial wall section 6 become, or exceed it. In the latter case, the difference between the axial distance h and the axial height h 2 of the axial wall section 6 gives a dimension t, according to which the main body of the cover 5 is offset inwards relative to the end face, so that the cover 5 is sunk to a certain extent. The choice of dimension t, possibly even with zero, is a purely practical consideration.

The body also has a covering 17, for example in the form of an elastic knitted fabric, as is known per se for protecting the mineral fiber material on the sensitive outer wall 3 of the mineral fiber tubular shell 1 . The sheath 17 engages over the end face 7 and is guided back into the mandrel opening 2 with a folded edge 17a. In principle, the sheathing 17 could be applied to the mineral fiber tube shell 1 before the support device 8 is fastened, so that the bearing parts 13 with their recesses 14 pierce the material of the sheathing 17 at the edge 17a thereof and thus additionally secure the sheathing 17. However, this is generally not necessary as a result of the tight contact of the sheath 17 on the outer wall 3 of the mineral fiber tubular shell 1 and the associated secure storage due to friction, and would have the disadvantage that at least when the cover is not completely flush with the end face 7 5 the upper edge region of the support ring 9 would be visible and could be optically disturbing. According to the illustrated preferred embodiment, the support ring 9 is therefore first inserted into the mandrel opening 2 and secured there by piercing the bearing parts 13. The covering 17 is then applied and thus also overlaps the Support ring 9 and possibly the mounting tongues 16 of the bearing parts 13. Then the cover 5 is put on, which smoothes the edge 17a of the casing 17 and clamps it between the free edge of its axial wall section 6 and the inner surface of the support ring 9. After assembly has been completed, only the casing 17 and the radial main body of the cover 5 can be seen from the outside in the manner shown in FIG. 1, which is visually clean and appealingly surrounded by the visible part of the folded edge 17a of the casing 17.

In Fig. 2 ist weiterhin mit der Linie I-I die in Fig. 1 gewählte Schnittführung veranschaulicht.2, the shape of the support ring 9 of the support device 8 shown in section in FIG. 1 becomes clearer. In the right half of FIG. 2, two bearing parts 13 are illustrated in the assembled position, in which the indentations 14 have penetrated into the material of the mineral fiber tube shell 1 in the manner shown in FIG. 1 and the depth of penetration by abutment of the mounting tongues 16 the inside of the support ring 9 is limited. In Fig. 2 the line II selected in Fig. 1 is further illustrated with the line II.

For details not mentioned above, reference is expressly made to the illustration in FIGS. 1 and 2, which is understandable in itself.
