- the method can be used in connection with a plant for the wet desulfurization of flue gases.
- a plant for the wet desulfurization of flue gases Such wet desulfurization plants deliver a flue gas with relatively low temperatures of about 50 to 80 0 C and a moisture enrichment close to the degree of saturation. These flue gases must be reheated before they are released into the environment in order to largely avoid premature condensation of the flue gases on cold contact surfaces.
- the invention has for its object to improve the method mentioned in such a way that an effective mixing of the flue gas streams is achieved with simple means and at the same time it is ensured that the full, hot flue gas volume directly and easily in the chimney when the cold flue gas source is switched off can be initiated.

- the flue gas stream with the lower temperature is preferably introduced centrally.
- a vortex is generated in the chimney by the tangent or secant injection of the warmer flue gas stream.
- the central blowing in of the colder flue gas stream causes swirling and intensive mixing of the different flue gas flows.
- the warmer flue gas flow in the endangered lower area of the chimney flows along the so-called lining surfaces of the flue pipe and thus keeps these lining surfaces warm. This is advantageous in relation to the inflowing colder flue gases, since these would otherwise condense on cold feed surfaces.
- the direct injection of the full, hot flue gas flow into the preheated forage areas is harmless.
- the chimney usually rests on a foundation. It consists of an outer shaft 1 which surrounds a flue pipe 2.
- the smoke pipe 2 is constructed from one or more pipe sections, which are supported on stages 3, which are supported on the inner wall of the shaft 1, the shaft 1 and the smoke pipe 2 can consist of concrete, steel or masonry.
- the flue gases are supplied through the chimney base 4.
- a flue gas supply pipe 5 is guided laterally into the chimney base 4 and bent at right angles so that its outlet opening 6 lies in the longitudinal axis of the chimney.
- the outlet opening 6 is formed by a short tube section 7.
- the diameter of the pipe section 7 is less than the inside diameter of the flue pipe 2 at this point of the chimney.
- the tube section 7 is surrounded at a distance by a ring 8 made of a heat-resistant material.
- the outlet opening 6 of the flue gas supply pipe 5 has been moved higher into the chimney.
- the flue gas supply pipe 5 is extended in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the chimney by a guide pipe 9 running concentrically to the flue pipe 2.
- the length of the guide tube 9 in the vertical direction corresponds to up to five times its diameter.
- a flue gas duct 10 continues into the chimney base 4.
- the longitudinal axis 11 of the flue gas duct 10 is aligned with the chimney so that it runs parallel to a tangent to the circumference of the flue pipe 2 or the guide pipe 9.
- the longitudinal axis 11 of the flue gas duct 10 can also be aligned with a secant to the circumference of the flue pipe 2.
- a plurality of flue gas ducts which are arranged in the manner described can also open into the interior of the flue pipe 2. These flue gas ducts can be arranged both on the same level and at different heights.
- Throttle valves 12 can be provided in the flue gas supply pipe 5 and the flue gas duct 10. Depending on the position of these throttle valves 12, the speed of the flowing flue gas is increased or decreased. This enables controlled acceleration of the smoke gases to be introduced.
- vortex internals can be provided in the flue gas feed pipe 5 or also in the flue gas duct 10 in the outlet area thereof.
- These vortex internals either consist of cylindrical flow bodies 13 or preferably delta-shaped installation surfaces 14.
- the vortexes which form behind the vortex internals ensure that the incoming flue gases are vortexed.
- a further flue gas duct 15 branches off from the flue gas duct 10. This further flue gas duct 15 is directed obliquely upwards and opens into the flue pipe 2 above the flue gas duct 10. Before entering the chimney 15 shut-off valves 16 are arranged in the further flue gas duct, through which the flue gas introduction into the chimney can be shut off. The further flue gas duct 15 is used when the flue gas supply pipe 5 is not acted on.
- the chimney described is used to carry out a method for mixing flue gas streams of different temperatures and compositions. This method will be explained using the example of heating flue gas cleaned in a wet desulfurization plant. It is assumed that only a part of the flue gas generated in a steam generator Has flowed through the wet desulfurization plant. The desulfurized flue gas leaves the wet desulfurization plant with a temperature of around 50 to 80 ° C and a moisture concentration close to the degree of saturation. This flue gas is introduced into the chimney through the flue gas supply pipe 5 and enters the flue pipe 2 of the chimney centrally as the central flue gas flow I. Dust-free, but not desulfurized, flue gas with a temperature of approximately 130 ° C.
- the lining surfaces of the flue pipe 2 are only coated by the hot flue gas. They are kept warm so that the colder and wet flue gas stream I does not condense on the feed surfaces and can cause damage there. Due to the tangential blowing in of the flue gas stream II and the arrangement of the further flue gas duct 15 which can be shut off, the chimney can be used without further measures if the wet desulfurization system is out of operation and the cold gas source is thus switched off.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for mixing flue gas flows of different temperature and composition in a chimney and a chimney, in particular for performing the method.
The method can be used in connection with a plant for the wet desulfurization of flue gases. Such wet desulfurization plants deliver a flue gas with relatively low temperatures of about 50 to 80 0 C and a moisture enrichment close to the degree of saturation. These flue gases must be reheated before they are released into the environment in order to largely avoid premature condensation of the flue gases on cold contact surfaces.
It is known to heat the flue gases leaving the wet desulfurization plant in a heat exchanger or to mix them with warmer flue gas in a mixing device. Such units are usually upstream of the chimney. It has also been proposed to add hot flue gas to colder clean gases in the chimney foot.
The invention has for its object to improve the method mentioned in such a way that an effective mixing of the flue gas streams is achieved with simple means and at the same time it is ensured that the full, hot flue gas volume directly and easily in the chimney when the cold flue gas source is switched off can be initiated.
This object is achieved in that a first flue gas flow is introduced centrally into the chimney and that one or more flue gas flows are introduced with a flow direction along a perpendicular tangent or secant to the flow direction of the first flue gas flow. The flue gas stream with the lower temperature is preferably introduced centrally.
In this process, a vortex is generated in the chimney by the tangent or secant injection of the warmer flue gas stream. The central blowing in of the colder flue gas stream causes swirling and intensive mixing of the different flue gas flows. Furthermore, due to the tangent or secant injection, the warmer flue gas flow in the endangered lower area of the chimney flows along the so-called lining surfaces of the flue pipe and thus keeps these lining surfaces warm. This is advantageous in relation to the inflowing colder flue gases, since these would otherwise condense on cold feed surfaces. Finally, in the event of a failure of the cold flue gas source, the direct injection of the full, hot flue gas flow into the preheated forage areas is harmless.

The chimney usually rests on a foundation. It consists of an outer shaft 1 which surrounds a
The flue gases are supplied through the
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the outlet opening 6 of the flue
Between the
As shown in FIG. 2 for the flue
A further
The chimney described is used to carry out a method for mixing flue gas streams of different temperatures and compositions. This method will be explained using the example of heating flue gas cleaned in a wet desulfurization plant. It is assumed that only a part of the flue gas generated in a steam generator Has flowed through the wet desulfurization plant. Due to the tangential injection of the flue gas stream II, the lining surfaces of the
