Claims (11)

1. Assembly apparatus for making frames or panels, comprising a set of angles, each capable of embracing a corner of the frame or of the panel and provided with guide means, a cable surrounding the angles, passing in the said guide means, and a tightener to which two end segments of the cable are attached and which is capable of being operated so as to tighten a central segment of the cable about the angles, the tightener comprising a body (10) with a longitudinal axis and means for hooking (13) the said end segments of the cable (3), characterized in that the tightener (2) is a device separated from the angles (1) which comprises operating means (22, 23, 10c) capable of displacing the hooking means relative to the body in the direction of the said axis, thus exerting a tractional force on the said end segments of the cable, and curved entry means (11, 12) integral with the body, symmetrical relative to the said axis, and intended to guide portions of the cable situated between the said end segments and the central segment in such a way that these portions of the cable extend along a single straight line parallel to a side (B) of the frame, starting from two angles (1) situated at the ends of this side of the frame and up to said entry means (11, 12).
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the said hooking means (13) comprise a slide (14 ; 34) guided on the body (10) of the tightener and a gripping part (15 37) allowing the said end segments of the cable to be clamped on the slide (14; 34).
3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the body of the tightener is of elongated rectangular shape and comprises two parallel longitudinal sides (10, 10b) serving as supporting members for the slide.
4. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the operating device is composed of a screw (22) guided on the body of the tightener along the said symmetry axis and of a nut (23), the screw being hooked to the slide (14), and the nut pressing on the body of the tightener.
5. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the gripping part (15 ; 37) is connected to the slide (14 ; 34) by a tightening screw (16 ; 39) allowing the said part to be pressed against the slide.
6. Apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the slide (14 ; 34) and the gripping part (15 ; 37) each have two parallel grooves (20) oriented along the said longitudinal axis of the body (10) of the tightener, the two end segments of the cable each being simultaneously fitted in two of the said grooves, which prevents their damage at the time of clamping.
7. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the angles (1) are each equipped with a cramp (7, 8) acting in the longitudinal direction of the angle (1).
8. Apparatus according to claim 7, characterized in that the cramps (7, 8) are each controlled by two screws (5, 6), one of which is situated in the inside corner of the angle (1) and is accessible by means of an elongated lateral opening contrived in the arris of the angle.
9. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the angles (1) are composed of metal elements (1 a, 1 b, 1 c, 1 d) of sufficient length to be able to rest with one of their ends on a flat support (1e).
10. Apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that the angles are provided on the outside, all at the same height relative to their foot, with a thin sheave, the arcuate outer edge of which has a groove serving to guide the cable, each angle being arranged in the edge of this sheave.
11. Apparatus according to claim 10, characterized in that the sheaves of the angles are provided with stirrup-pieces distributed along the groove and arranged so as to hold the cable in the latter.
