Abstract

The problem with heel holders for safety ski bindings is that when the toe is released, the sole holder remains closed, so that skiers have to open the sole holder manually by means of a release lever in order to put the binding on again. To solve this problem, a heel holder has a bearing block (7) which can be displaced on a ski-fixed guide rail (2) against the force of at least one thrust spring (5) and one of a spring (15) which is arranged in a spring housing (13) , acted upon, the pawl (12) holding the sole holder (8) in the downhill position, provided to fasten or articulate at least one control part (10, 10 ') on the ski - fixed abutment (6) of the thrust spring (s) (5), which at a release by the front jaw presses the spring housing (13) away from its support surface (12b) on the pawl (12).

Description

The invention relates to a heel holder for safety ski bindings with a base plate, which is displaceably guided on a ski-fixed guide rail against the force of at least one thrust spring, and on which bearing block a sole holder is pivotably arranged, which is supported on one side on a control surface by means of a on the other side, a pawl which is acted upon by a spring which is arranged in a pivotably mounted spring housing is held in the downward position.

A heel holder of the type mentioned at the outset is described, for example, in AT-PS 327.068 and is also known from some products on the market. These heel bindings have proven themselves in practice and are comfortable for the user to handle, but they have the disadvantage that when the toe is released, for example in the event of a lintel fall, the sole holder remains closed, so that the skier can put on the binding again this must be opened by hand using a release lever.

The object of the invention is therefore to further develop a heel holder of the type mentioned at the outset, so that it is ready for entry even after the toe piece has been triggered.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that at least one control part is fastened or articulated to the ski-fixed abutment of the thrust spring (s), which passes through a recess in the base plate and which at Ent load the thrust spring (s) without heel release pressing the spring housing away from its support surface on the pawl.

With the measures according to the invention, the goal set is achieved perfectly. In the case of a pure toe-jaw release, the control part acts upon the relieving of the thrust spring (s), which process causes the heel holder to move towards the tip of the ski, the spring casing pushes it away from its support surface on the pawl, which is now released from the control surface, so that the sole holder can pivot into the open position, the heel holder is ready to step on.

It is also advantageous according to the invention if the control part on the ski-fixed abutment can be swung up in an area away from the ski plane and is held in its rest position by a return spring, which is preferably a leg spring. In this way, the friction occurring between the spring housing and the control part is effectively reduced.

Another feature of the invention is that each control part has a control lug, which comes to rest when the heel holder is closed, both in the relaxed and in the pretensioned position of the thrust spring (s) in one detent depression of the spring housing, which detent depressions are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the ski and between which locking recesses a control cam pointing in the direction of the top of the ski is provided. One locking recess ensures an unimpeded closing of the heel holder even without a ski boot inserted, the second serves to hold the control part when the ski boot is inserted into the binding. The between these recesses The arranged control cam is struck when the front jaw is triggered by the control lug of the control part, as a result of which the spring housing is raised / and is released from its support surface on the pawl.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is given when the ski-fixed abutment, as is known per se, is formed by a fork which, in a manner known per se, has a web on one end for supporting the thrust spring (s) and on the other hand with a or unlocking is provided with the guide rail provided, and that the control part (s) is or are attached to the legs of the fork. In this way, an arrangement of the control part on many known heel holders, which are also on the market, is ensured with the least constructional effort.

1 to 4 show a first exemplary embodiment of a heel holder according to the invention, FIG. 1 shows the heel holder according to the invention in a side view in section in the closed position without a ski boot inserted, FIG. 2 shows the locking mechanism of the heel holder in an enlarged scale also in a side view in section in one Position without inserted ski boot, FIG. 3 shows the locking mechanism similar to FIG. 2 but in its position with inserted ski boot, FIG. 4 a position of the locking mechanism during a safety release of the toe (not shown) and FIG. 5 a second exemplary embodiment in a similar manner Representation like Fig. 2.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, a guide rail 2 is fastened to the top of a ski 1 by means of screws (not shown). On the guide rail 2, a base plate 3 of the heel holder is displaceably guided in the longitudinal direction of the ski 1 and, in a manner known per se, can be locked in the desired position in order to adapt the binding to ski boots of different lengths. In a recess 3a of the base plate 3, a thrust spring 5 is arranged, one end of which is supported on a support part 3b of the base plate 3 and the other end of which is supported on a crossbar of a fork serving as a ski abutment 6, which fork uses two indicator pins 6a to support the edge of the recess 3a spreads. The heel holder is thus guided against the force of the thrust spring 5 on the guide rail 2. The indicator pins 6a are used in conjunction with a scale located on the base plate 3 when the ski boot is inserted into the binding for reading the contact pressure of the heel holder against the toe (not shown). The abutment 6 has two legs 6b extending to the side of the thrust spring 5 and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the ski 1, which are designed in the end of the cutout 3a of the base plate 3 facing away from the transverse web of the abutment 6 to form a locking tongue, which are known and therefore not shown way is provided for locking the heel holder on the guide rail 2. At least one of the two legs 6b of the abutment 6 carries a control part 10, which passes through the cutout 3a of the base plate 3 from below and the shape and mode of operation of which will still be discussed.

On the base plate. 3, a bearing block 7 is fastened, on which a sole holder 8 is pivotally mounted about an axis 9. The sole holder 8 supports another, parallel to The first-mentioned extending axis 11 is a pawl 12 which can also be pivoted and which, in the downward position of the heel hatcher, engages under a catch 17a of a control surface 17 formed on the bearing block 7 by means of a detent 12a. Furthermore, viewed in plan view, an approximately U-shaped spring housing 13 is mounted on the pivot axis 9 of the sole holder 8 and has longitudinal slots 13 a in its two side cheeks, which form a guide for a locking part 14. The locking part 14 is acted upon by one end of a release spring 15, the other end of which is supported on a spring abutment 16 which is adjustable in the axial direction of the release spring 15 by means of a screw 28 rotatably mounted in the spring housing 13.

The pawl 12 forms a catch 12b for the locking part 14, into which it is pressed by the release spring 15. Following the catch 12b, a recess 12c is provided on the pawl 12, which serves as an exemption, and into which the locking part 14 engages when a release lever 18 is actuated.

The release lever 18 laterally overlaps the sole holder 8 and is pivotably mounted on the axis 11 arranged on the sole holder 8, on which axis 11 the pawl 12 is also articulated. A bolt 19 is mounted parallel to the axis 11 on the release lever 18, passes through both the sole holder 8 and the side walls of the spring housing 13 and is slidably guided in each of these two components in elongated holes 8b, 13b. The two elongated holes 8b provided on the sole holder 8 are arranged concentrically to the pivot axis 11, the two elongated holes 13b formed on the spring housing 13 are approximately at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the elongated holes 8b of the Sole holder 8 arranged. When the release lever 18 is pivoted up, the bolt 19 slides upward in the elongated holes 8b of the sole holder 8 and pivots while simultaneously sliding in the elongated holes 13b of the spring housing 13 in the direction of the ski tip, and this also upwards about the axis 9. As a result, the locking part 14 disengages from the catch 12b of the pawl 12, as a result of which the pawl 12 can pivot freely and its catch 12a is released from the catch 17a of the control surface 17 of the bearing block 7, the sole holder 8 pivots, supported by one on the axis 9 arranged opening spring 20, in the open position.

The control part 10 fastened to the leg 6b of the abutment 6 has a control lug 10a which comes to rest in the closed position of the sole holder 8 and when the ski boot is not inserted in a recess 13c in the associated side wall of the spring housing 13. This locking recess 13c is formed on the lower edge of this side wall (see Fig.2). While stepping into the heel holder by means of a ski boot, the latter moves the heel holder against the force of the thrust spring 5 on the ski-fixed guide rail 2 in the direction of the end of the ski, the control part 10 remaining stationary with the control nose 10a in after the sole holder 8 has been pivoted downward a further latching recess 13d also formed on the lower edge of the side wall of the spring housing 13 comes to rest.

If the toe piece (not shown) is triggered when the skier falls, for example during a turning fall, the heel holder is moved in the direction by the relaxing thrust spring 5 on the guide rail 3 shifted to toe. Here, the control lug 10a of the control piece 10 acts on a control cam 13e of the spring housing 13 formed between the two locking recesses 13c, 13d and presses the spring housing 13 upwards and so on. to the extent that is required to lift the locking part 14 mounted in the spring housing 13 out of the catch 12a of the locking pawl 12 (see FIG. 4). The pawl 12 is no longer acted upon by the release spring 15. The opening process of the sole holder 8 is supported by the opening spring 20 in the manner already described, which also takes place during the arbitrary opening. The heel holder is ready for boarding, the re-entry into the binding is carried out in a manner known per se either by closing the release lever 18 and then swiveling the sole holder 8 down with the ski boot, or by first pivoting the sole holder 8 and then the release lever 18.

The control part 10 ′ shown in FIG. 5 is pivotably articulated on the leg 6b of the abutment 6 away from the ski plane and is held in its position shown in this figure by a leg spring 21. This design has the advantage that the control part 10 'can pivot in a region (limited by a stop, not shown), whereby the friction occurring between the spring housing 13 and the control part 10' is reduced.

The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown. Further modifications are conceivable without leaving the scope of the scope of protection. Thus, a large number of heel bindings, the power pack of which acts on a control surface and can be moved away from it with little effort using the control part according to the invention be provided. It is also a matter of course to provide two shear springs instead of one.
