Claims (10)

1. A closing handle (7) for a panel (1) slidably mounted in a frame (3), comprising a section member (11, 111) fixed to the panel, in which there is pivotally mounted, by means of a cylindrical bead (19) placed in a cavity in the form of a groove (18), another section member (21, 121) biased circumferentially, by elastically yieldable means (29) interposed between the two section members, toward a position in which a locking element, such as a pawl (8) connected to the movable section member, normally becomes for the closing position of the panel, automatically engaged with a conjugate locking element fixed to the frame, the elastically yieldable means being capable of being neutralized under the effect of a retaining device for the movable section member which immobilizes the latter in a separable manner in a position in which, for the closing position of the panel, the locking elements are out of engagement, characterised in that the retaining device provided for neutralizing the circumferential elastically yieldable means comprises in one (11, 111) of the section members a radial cavity (37, 137) constituting a stop step for a conjugate radial boss (36, 136) provided on the other section member (21, 121), and the groove has a sectional shape (18a, 18b) of oval appearance enabling the movable section member not only to pivot but also to effect movements in a direction transverse to the pivotal connection, whereby a relative circumferential and radial sliding can occur between one of the edges (37a) of the cavity (37, 137) and the boss (36, 136) of the retaining device when a corresponding angular displacement is imparted manually to the movable section member.
2. A handle according to claim 1, characterised by an elastically yieldable means (29) having a radial action which biases the movable section member (21) in a direction corresponding either to the locking, in the case where the retaining device is inoperative, or to the clamping of the boss (36, 136) in the cavity forming a stop step (37, 137) if the retaining device occupies its operative position in which it maintains the conjugate locking elements (8, 9) out of engagement.

A handle according to claim 2, characterised in that the elastically yieldable means having a radial action has the shape of a triangle compressed between two anchoring regions (32, 34) which are radially spaced apart and provided on the respective section members (21, 11) in which bear one (31) of the apices of the triangle and the base (33) opposed to said apex.
4. A handle according to claim 3, characterised in that the triangle is an isosceles triangle and the apex (31) bearing against the corresponding anchoring region (34) is adjacent to the equal sides of the triangle.

A handle according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it comprises a single spring (27) comprising a helical winding (28) for biasing the movable section member (21, 121) toward its locking position and a part in the shape of an isosceles triangle (29) extending one of the ends of the winding, compressed between two radially spaced-apart anchoring regions (32, 34) provided on the respective section members (21, 121-11, 111) in which bear the apex (31) of the triangle adjacent to the equal sides and the base (33) opposed to said apex.

A handle according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the fixed section member (11, 111) has the general shape of an L having an obtuse angle and including a radial wing (17,117) whose end (24, 124) is covered by a circumferential wing (23, 123) of the movable section member (21, 121) with which is integral a radial wing (22, 122) pivotally mounted on the fixed section member in the region of the junction (16) of its wings (12, 17).

A handle according to claim 6, characterised in that the retaining boss (36) constitues an axial and radial projection formed on the inner surface of the circumferential wing (23) of the movable section member (21), the complementary cavity forming a stop constituting an axial groove (37) formed in the edge of the radial wing (17) of the fixed section member (11).

A handle according to claim 6, characterised in that the retaining boss (136) constitues a cylindrical element formed at the junction between the radial wing (122) and the circumferential wing (123) of the movable section member (121), the complementary cavity constituting a laterally oriented axial groove (137) formed at the end (124) of the radial wing (117) of the fixed section member (111).

A handle according to one of the claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the bead (19) which constitutes a pivot axis is provided in the movable section member (21, 121) and the latter is axially retained by means of a screw (39) or like means which is engaged in the junction region (16) of the two wings (12, 17) of the fixed section member (11, 111) and extends through a notch (38) in the bead.
10. A handle according to one of the claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the spring (27) is axially retained in one of the section members by a crushing effected on the corresponding anchoring region (34).
