Description
- - a knee lever with lower and upper links cooperating with an automatic release hook and a manual control lever for actuating the moving assembly,
- - a pivoting cradle for supporting the handle which can be moved between extreme stable closing and opening positions,
- - a bar of insulating material, mechanically coupled to a lower link of the toggle joint to drive the contact arms of all the poles alternately when the contacts of the circuit breaker are closed or opened,
- - at least one actuating spring of the mechanism anchored between the cradle and the intermediate axis of articulation of the links of the toggle joint,
- - a latch for hooking the trigger hook in the armed position,
- - And a lock unlocking device controlled by the trigger block to ensure the release of the trigger hook when a fault occurs, the handle being driven during this operation in an intermediate position located between the open positions and closing.
In a known operating mechanism of the kind mentioned, the pivoting cradle directly drives the trigger hook during the rearming phase, which requires a large sliding stroke generating friction forces between the two mechanical members. To avoid premature wear of the mechanism, the cradle and the trigger hook must undergo appropriate surface treatments which increase the manufacturing cost of the assembly.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to allow the production of an operating mechanism with reduced friction which does not require additional surface treatments.
The mechanism according to the invention is characterized in that the upper link of the toggle joint is articulated to the trigger hook and is extended by a transmission lever cooperating with the cradle to cause the reset of the trigger hook in the armed position for attachment to the latch when moving the lever from the intermediate position to the reset position close to the open position. The rearming of the mechanism via the upper link of the toggle joint generates a small sliding stroke of the transmission lever on the cradle, and the corresponding friction is negligible.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the free end of the transmission lever of the upper link is shaped as a control tab bearing on a sliding surface of the cradle between the intermediate and open positions of the lever. The leg of the transmission lever is bent at right angles, extending transversely outwards from the gap formed between the support plates of the operating mechanism.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the upper link has a V-shaped bent structure, comprising a first lever arranged between the pivot axis of the toggle joint and the articulation axis of the trigger hook, and making a predetermined angle with the second transmission lever cooperating with the cradle.
The pivoting cradle is provided with a projection intended to come into abutment with the link tab to stop in a position of the lever any attempt to open the circuit breaker manually in the event of contact soldering, said tab automatically disappearing in front of the protrusion when the knee brace is broken and the contacts open normally. Note the dual function of the control link of the upper link, which is used alternately to drive the trigger hook to the armed position and the blocking stop of the lever cradle when the contacts are in the welded position.
The lock unlocking member advantageously comprises a half-moon mounted with limited rotation on an axis, and the bore of which comprises a radial extension intended to engage in a conjugate groove of the axis. A torsion spring positions the half-moon relative to the lock, preventing any untimely triggering.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the bar coupled to the lower link of the toggle joint is guided in rotation by intermediate coaxial bearings bearing on the housing.
According to a development of the invention, each contact arm being biased against a bearing face of the bar by means of a compression spring, the setting of the depression of each contact arm is effected by means of 'an adjustment shim of predetermined thickness, inserted in a groove of the bar to modify the angular position of said bearing face, the positioning of the shim being effected after separation of the contact arm at the against the force of the compression spring.

In FIG. 1, a cut-
The
A control member for the
To avoid any untimely triggering of the
In FIGS. 10 and 11, the
The driving in of the
- In position D of tripping of the circuit breaker shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the tripping
hook 64 released from thelatch 78 caused the toggle joint 52 to break under the action of thesprings 66, and is in stable abutment against thepivot 70 of thebar 68. Thetab 114 at right angles to thetransmission lever 112 of eachupper link 58 bears on the slidingsurface 116 of thecradle 68.
The
Le crochet de déclenchement 64 reste en position armée par accrochage du bec 76 au verrou 78.In the event of soldering of the contacts, the manual opening of the circuit breaker by actuation of the
