Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for spray treatment, in particular for spray painting objects with a precipitation surface extending transversely to the spray direction for the spray medium passing past the objects, with at least one scraper for removing the precipitation from the precipitation surface and a collecting trough arranged below the precipitation surface.
In known devices of the generic type (DE-A-2 823 958), the precipitation surface for the spray medium passing by the objects to be treated, the so-called overspray, is moved while the scraper is arranged in a stationary manner. Such a moving precipitation surface can be, for example, a rotating disk or a moving belt, each of which is guided along one or more scrapers.
These conventional devices for recovering the overspray accumulated in the surface coating of objects, once the running belt is considered, the disadvantage that sufficiently large pressure forces between the wipers and the precipitation surface of the flexible belt cannot always be reliably achieved. The consequence of this is that the precipitation area, in particular in the case of somewhat older and worn scrapers, is only insufficiently freed from the overspray.
The rotating disk, on the other hand, has a support device in the area of the scraper, which is intended to protect the axis of the disk from bending and breakage. The bending stress on the axle is reduced by the fact that the washer is pressed against the support device by the scraper. However, this means that considerable friction occurs between the disc and the support device of the disc, so that the drive motor of the disc has to provide a relatively large output.
Another reason that makes a large and expensive motor necessary for both the drive of the disc and the drive of the belt is the large masses that have to be moved.
Often, the moving belt is a link belt which has joints between each individual link, which are moved past the wipers and thereby subject the wiper to particularly high mechanical stresses. This stress causes the scraper to wear out quickly and become unusable.
The invention has for its object to provide a generic device that allows enough large pressure forces between the wiper and the precipitation surface, but still does not require a lot of energy to overcome the friction and for driving moving masses, and is characterized by low susceptibility to interference.
This object is achieved in that the precipitation area is formed on a stationary wall and the scraper is arranged to be movable over the precipitation area. A precipitation surface arranged on a stationary wall can be built up in a correspondingly stable manner so that it withstands the necessary pressure forces to be applied to the precipitation surface by the scraper.
A particularly expedient embodiment of this device results from a further innovative feature if endless chains or the like are guided along two parallel side edges of the stationary wall via deflection rollers, to which the stripper is attached in a preferably rectangular arrangement to the chain strands or the like. The two endless chains and the scraper have a very small mass compared to the moving parts of the known device for recovering the overspray, so that a cheap motor with low power can be used.
It is advantageous that the stripper can be moved in the downward direction over the precipitation surface, which ensures that areas of the precipitation surface that have already been cleaned are not hit by paint residues dripping from the stripper.
It has proven to be advantageous that the scraper has at least one flexible slide lip which extends over the entire width of the precipitation area, so that the entire precipitation area is cleaned when the scraper moves downward.
It is advisable to provide at least two wipers on the chains or the like, since this significantly reduces the wiping intervals. This allows larger amounts of the solvent in the overspray to be recovered before it evaporates. In addition, the chains, which are driven by a motor whose speed can be regulated, do not have to be moved as quickly as is necessary when using only one scraper.
It is particularly noteworthy that a spray device or the like for solvents is arranged along the upper edge of the wall, the spray nozzles of the spray device being aligned with the upper region of the precipitation surface. The solvent applied to the precipitation surface from the spray device counteracts the solvent loss of the overspray caused by evaporation and keeps the overspray liquid, so that a clean wiping of the overspray from the precipitation surface is ensured.

- Fig. 3 is a front container of the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2 for the recovered overspray.
An
Between the two
The
The overspray removed from the
