Abstract

A wire rope, particularly a non-twistable wire rope, wherein an annulus of outer strands surrounds a wire rope center with a central strand and one or more annuli of neighboring strands surrounding the central strand. The wires of the strands in the center do not intersect each other. The entire center or at least some of its strands are densified prior to or during application of the outer strands. Alternatively, or in addition to such densification, at least some strands of the center are assembled of wires having an other than circular outline to thereby reduce the combined cross-sectional area of voids in the center.

Description

The invention relates to a low-rotation or rotation-free wire rope made of a core rope without strand crossings and an outer strand layer stranded thereon in the opposite direction, in particular with a core rope composed of a cardiac strand and a plurality of strand layers, wherein the strands of the different strand layers run parallel to one another, in particular in the case of one If there are a plurality of wire layers in the strands, the wires of the different wire layers also run parallel to one another, in particular furthermore the outer wires of strands lying on top of one another of different strand layers do not cross one another.

The object of the invention is to increase the breaking strength and / or the flexibility of such a rope and / or to simplify its manufacture and / or to improve its turning behavior.

According to the invention, this purpose is achieved in that only the core rope is compressed in its cross section as a whole in a manner known per se.

The flattening caused by the compression at the points of contact between the strands of the core rope means a reduction in the spaces between these strands, thus an enlargement of the metal cross section and thus an increase in the breaking strength. The flattening at the points of contact also increases the area of contact and thus increases flexibility. Which breaking strength and flexibility values are achieved and to what extent they exceed those of other constructions depends on the other rope construction or on which known rope the new rope is compared with; it is also the same with the manufacturing effort and with the turning behavior. In any case, an improvement is always achieved in at least one respect, as explained more specifically in the example below. Improving the turning behavior of the ropes is of particular importance.

In Betracht kommen Ziehen, HÄmmern, Walzen, Rollieren. The core rope can be compressed during its manufacture or in a separate operation or when the outer strand layer is stranded. Pulling, hammering, rolling, rolling are possible.

You can also start with non-round strands, e.g. of six symmetrical triangular strands or of three oval strands or oval-like strands, for example in the form of segments of a circle, which can also be compressed themselves, or of round, compacted strands, such as drawn or rolled. The partial use of such strands is also possible.

The production of the core rope from strands of non-circular cross-section and / or compacted strands leads to an even higher metal cross-section. However, it means quite a lot of effort.

With this single measure, the production of the core side from conventional, uncompressed strands and the compression of its cross-section as a whole results in an extraordinary compression, even if it compresses the strands only less.

It goes without saying that for the compression of the cross section as a whole, the core rope must be constructed as free of crossings as possible. Crossings of the strands are excluded, either the core rope has only one strand layer or the strands of the different layers run parallel to each other (parallel design). Crossing the wires in the strands is at least undesirable, so the strands should only have one wire layer or wires of different wire layers running parallel to each other (parallel lay strands). By appropriate choice of lay lengths and lay directions you can also avoid that the outer wires of different strands lying on top of each other cross. A core rope in parallel construction made of parallel lay strands and without crossing the outer wires of strands lying one on top of the other is therefore specified at the beginning as a construction which is particularly suitable for the invention. In the context of the invention, such a rope has the advantage over a rope with only one layer that the compression of the cross-section as a whole has a greater effect on it.

Als selbstÄndiges Drahtseil ist ein Seil in Parallel-Machart aus Parallelschlaglitzen, die infolge Verdichtung des Seilquerschnitts im Ganzen einen an den Berührungsstellen zwischen den Litzen abgeflachten Querschnitt aufweisen, bekannt (US-A-3 822 542).Known as a self-contained wire rope is a rope in a parallel design made of parallel lay strands, which as a whole have a cross-section flattened at the points of contact between the strands due to the compression of the rope cross-section (US Pat. No. 3,822,542).

It has the advantages of high metal cross section, high flexibility and comparatively simple, inexpensive production of these properties, which are also used according to the present invention.

However, it has the disadvantage that when the rope cross-section is compressed as a whole, the wire sections forming the rope circumference lose their original shape of individually protruding, elongated humps, and the rope receives a fairly smooth-cylindrical surface and, as a result, in the grooves of the deflection pulleys adapted to the rope surface, such as the outer wire sections on pods are protected so much that the rope's maturity cannot be recognized in good time; the inner destruction of the rope progresses too far compared to the visible wire breaks on the surface.

The present invention turns these ratios into an advantage. By turning the rope into a core rope, it places the smooth surface inside the rope, where its longer lifespan is desired and the smooth surface also to protect the Distance at the most stressed points of the entire rope leads, namely the crossover between the outer strands of the core rope and the outer strand layer of the rope stranded on it. This finding includes the invention in addition to that of the special advantage of the compacted core rope in low-rotation or rotation-free wire rope.

The strands of the outer strand layer of the rope can be conventional, but also compacted strands. As a rule, it should be recommended to use strands of the same type for the outer strand layer as for the core rope.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention.

It shows a cross section through a rotation-free wire rope.

The wire rope shown consists of a core rope 1 and an outer strand layer 2 stranded thereon after completion of the core rope with the opposite direction of travel.

The core rope 1 is a rope of a parallel design: a layer of inner strands 3 and a layer of outer strands 4 and 5 are simultaneously stranded in parallel on a cardiac strand 10. All strands 3 to 5 are normal strands, i.e. they have a layer of six wires of the same diameter as the core wire on a core wire. The outer strands 4 respectively arranged between two inner strands 3 above these are larger than the outer strands 5 respectively arranged on an inner strand 3.

The core rope 1 is compressed. The strands, the outer wires of which were previously undeformed rotationally symmetrically around the core wire, are flattened at their contact points 6 and the spaces 7 between the strands have been reduced. The strands have also been compressed in themselves; Similar flattening and space reductions, as just mentioned, can be found in the strands between the wires. Apart from comparatively small grooves 8 between the outer strands 4 and 5, the surface of the core rope 1 is essentially cylindrical.

The outer strand layer 2 also consists of normal strands, but of smaller diameter. These strands are undeformed.

Die zahlmÄßige Konstruktion des Seiles ist (1 +6+ (6+6))+ 16. Sie wÄre auch umfangreicher oder kleiner mÖglich. The number of the construction of the rope is (1 +6+ (6 + 6)) + 16. It would also be possible to make it larger or smaller.

Compared to a rotation-free wire rope of the same construction made of compacted strands, the core rope of which has not been compacted as a whole, the rope has the same metal cross-section and the same breaking strength, greater flexibility and cost-saving production; it can also be made from thinner strands that are difficult to compact.
