Description

The invention relates to a device for forming packable stacks from flat workpieces, such as flat bags or sacks, with a storage conveyor which is continuously and successively fed with the workpieces by a conveyor and which consists of two parallel sprockets arranged parallel to each other by two spaced-apart sprockets There are endless chains revolving around axes of rotation, to which the front end of a rake-like storage plate provided with fingers is articulated by means of two bolts arranged at a distance from one another, with one below which by means of the Recirculation arranged over the head end of the storage conveyor by 180 ° swiveling storage plate arranged ejection station, the stack formed intermittently conveying conveyor belt.

Rt in a manner known in the practice of this apparatus A, the abfördernde conveyor belt corresponding to the growing stack height is designed lowered. However, the creation of straight-edged stacks presents difficulties because the individual workpieces are hit by the storage plate on the stack that is being formed and can then slip when the storage plate is removed.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a device of the type specified at the outset, with which flat workpieces can be stacked up into handy, straight-edged stacks which can be packaged in a simple manner, for example for the purpose of shipping them.

According to the invention this object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned above in that the conveying plane of the conveying conveyor belt, which consists of a plurality of individual belts rotating at a distance from one another, lies at a distance from the height of the stack to be formed under the storage conveyor, that just below 180 ° swiveled storage plate is arranged a stacking shaft formed by side walls and a rear wall provided with vertical slots, the bottom of which is formed by fork-shaped tines which can be lowered in accordance with the increasing stacking height and can be moved back and forth in the conveying direction of the conveying conveyor belt and which engage through the slots in the rear wall and can be lowered in between the individual belts in the grooves of the deflection drum to below the conveying plane of the conveying conveyor belt, and that successively horizontally retractable and overlapping folding swords are provided across the upper edges of the side walls and the lateral tines of the storage plate pivoted into the stacking shaft. With the device according to the invention, it is not only possible to stack stacks which are straight along the edges in the stacking shaft, by turning the side parts of the bags to be stacked or the like erected by the pivoted-in storage plate on the side walls of the stacking shaft, the base area of which is reduced in order to produce manageable stacks. Since the side pieces of the workpieces are folded inwards by the folding swords around the lateral tines of the storage plate, the distance between the outer tines determines the width of the stack. The tines are therefore adapted to the inner spacing of the side walls of the stacking shaft in such a way that they support the stack being formed and prevent it from slipping sideways. With the device according to the invention - the workpieces can be deposited continuously because the folding swords retract at the beginning of the retraction movement of the fork-shaped depositing plate, at a time when the side parts can still be folded around the outer prongs of the depositing plate in a precisely defined manner.

From DE-OS 23 56 877 it is known per se to push flat stacks into a shaft by means of a slide and to fold the side parts of the stack upright on the shaft side walls overlapping one another inwards by folding swords which can be inserted laterally.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is described in the subclaim.

An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. In this shows:
  • Fig. 1 is a side view of the stacking device in a schematic representation and
  • Fig. 2 shows a section through the device of Fig. 1 along the line II - II.

The stacking device shown in the drawing consists of a conveyor belt 1 which feeds the workpieces 5 to be stacked one after the other and continuously, with belts rotating at a distance from one another. The feed conveyor 2 is connected to the feeding conveyor belt 1 and consists of three chains rotating in parallel to one another, each carrying bolts 3 which interact in pairs. The front ends of storage plates 4 are connected in an articulated manner to each pair of bolts, the bolts of which are arranged one behind the other in the conveying direction. The storage plates 4 consist of three tines or support fingers arranged side by side in a rake-like manner, each of which is fastened to the synchronously rotating chains by the bolts 3. The feeding conveyor belt 1 and the A conveyor conveyor 2 interlock in the manner shown in FIG. 1, so that they have an overlapping conveyor area.

The distance between the bolts 3 is so large that on the one hand they are able to hold the storage plates 4 with a sufficient lever length and on the other hand enable the storage plates 4 to run smoothly over the chain wheels 2 1 and 2 ".

The tine-like storage plates 4 have a width such that they can pass through the conveyor belt 1 in the gaps formed between the individual belts without interference.

Since the conveyor belt 1 and the storage conveyor 2 interlock, the storage plates 4 lift the workpieces 5 brought up by the conveyor belt 1 from the conveyor belt 1, turn them by 180 ° in each case and place them on the rake 11 forming the bottom of the stacking shaft. The feed of the individual workpieces 5 is matched to the passage of the storage plates 4 in such a way that they each take over a workpiece from the conveyor belt 1.

A further conveyor belt 6 adjoins the storage conveyor 2 and is lower than the underside of the storage conveyor 2 by the largest stack height to be formed.

Mit zunehmender Stapelbildung senkt sich dabei der Rechen 11 ab.The conveyor belt 6 also consists of a plurality of individual belts 7 arranged at a distance from one another, which are supported by shafts 9 and 10, of which at least the shaft 9 has a plurality of annular recesses 8 arranged next to one another. In the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a rake 11 has been placed in the recesses 8 of the shaft 9, so that the stack 12 formed can be removed from the conveyor belt 6. Thereafter, the rake 11 is pulled out of the recesses 8 by a piston-cylinder unit 13 and moved upwards by the piston-cylinder unit 14. Subsequently, the rake 11 is moved by the piston-cylinder unit 13 - through slot-shaped interruptions in the rear wall 15 of a cassette formed from the rear wall 15 and side walls 16 and 17. The rake 11 lowers with increasing stack formation.

However, since the spacing of the side walls 16 and 17 from one another is less than the width of the individual workpieces to be placed in the cassette, they are above the side walls 16 and 17 projecting parts of the workpiece after they have been pressed into the cassette by the rake fingers of the plate 4, vertically upwards. At this moment, folding swords 18 and 19 are retracted from both sides, so that the vertically upwardly projecting parts of each workpiece are folded inwards, as shown in FIG. 2. In this way it is possible to obtain a perfectly folded storage, for example of carrying bags.
