Description

The invention relates to a device for carrying out a method for producing an elastic thread, in which an elastomer thread of approximately 145 dtex to 310 dtex with two yarns with a thickness of 100 to 12500 dtex made of polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl cyanide, polyacrylonitrile and / or wool threads is twisted by adhesion, the yarns being swollen on their surface before loosening and to achieve adhesion at a pressure between about 0.1 and 0.2 bar in superheated steam of about 70 ° C. for up to 10 minutes and the elastomer thread the twisting is given a delay in relation to the yarns.

For the production of bi-elastic fabrics, as described for example in DE-GM 7222481 and 7 223 242, elastic threads are required, which consist of an elastomer thread and two yarns made of natural and / or synthetic threads. While the use of carded yarns in such elastic threads does not pose any difficulties, it has proven to be problematic to use OE yarns produced in the so-called rotor process, which are known to be substantially harder than carded yarns, for producing elastic threads for bi-elastic fabrics necessary type to use, because such OE yarns do not deform into an oval when twisted, whereby no bond between the yarn components and the elastomer thread of the yarn is achieved. Rather, the elastomer thread in the thread contracts after the release of the thread tension between the OE yarns surrounding it, whereby the elastomer thread becomes disadvantageously visible through the cover yarns, this disadvantage particularly in the case of synthetic fibers, such as fibers made of polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl cyanide and / or Polyvinyl chloride, as well as wool yarns provided with flame retardant equipment occurs.

From US-A-2 146 966 a method is already known in which a contraction of the elastomer thread with the resulting disadvantageous visibility thereof between the cover yarns is avoided by providing the elastomer thread with a heat-activatable adhesive before twisting, by means of which then in the heat treatment following the twisting process, the yarns are firmly connected to the elastomer thread. However, this method is problematic in that the properties of the elastic thread are no longer determined solely by the characteristics of the elastomer thread and the yarn, but also by the adhesive used. In addition, the heat treatment required to activate the adhesive leads to disadvantageous structural changes in numerous man-made fibers, in particular when the activation temperatures, as provided in US Pat. No. 2,146,966, are above 100.degree.

Dabei wird der Elastomerfaden bevorzugt unter einem etwa 3,5fachen Verzug verzwirnt, also gespannt.DE-A-2 811 329 has therefore disclosed an improved method of the type described above, in which a good bond with the elastomer thread can in any case be achieved by using roughened and swollen yarns which adhere more easily to the elastomer thread by steaming, without the use of expensive and adversely affecting the product quality of adhesives. The elastomer thread is preferably twisted at about 3.5 times the warping, that is, tensioned.

It has now been found that thread breaks often occur in the manufacture of these twists when the twisting device starts up and stops, especially when a machine has to be stopped for a short time without, for example, spools of thread or the like being replaced.

In a known device according to EP-A-0 036 948, which corresponds to DE-A-3 012 753, as described at the beginning, this tearing of the thread when the machine starts is prevented by the tension of the elastomer thread when starting the twisting device initially held equal to the tension of the yarns and only after a predetermined period of time the elastomeric thread over the yarns a. B. 3.5 times delay is given. The device disclosed there for performing this method has two gears with different ratios for transmitting the torque of a drive shaft to the delivery and pressure cylinders of a twisting device, the gears being coupled or uncoupled from the drive shaft and the two desired thread tensions in the desired time Sequence are generated.

From DE-A-2 214 043 a method for producing a thread is known, in which the tension of one of the threads to be twisted is timed in a predetermined manner. There, however, the stretched thread is not an elastomer thread, but rather a component of the thread, the thread components being alternately fed to the rotating element in a stretched and relaxed form. The thread that is given a delay is therefore not the same throughout, but changes from component to component. Accordingly, in DE-A-2214043 very complex control elements are required in order to produce the warping of the threads.

Die US-A-3657873 zeigt schließlich eine Vorrichtung, in der ein gegenseitiger Fadenverzug zwar angesprochen ist, wobei sich jedoch ebenfalls keine Lösung der vorstehend beschriebenen Probleme ergibt.US-A-3,303,640 shows the measure to avoid an oversupply of an elastomer thread by sliding friction without the sliding friction device in question serving to generate the necessary distortion of the threads; the distortion is rather generated by means of two rollers, the thread feed speed of which is different. At the front According to GB-A-544 873, the necessary distortion of the elastomer thread is also given by different feed speeds of the corresponding rollers. Finally, US-A-3657873 shows a device in which mutual thread distortion is addressed, but there is also no solution to the problems described above.

  • a) der Elastomerfadenverzug kontinuierlich, zeitlich steuerbar veränderbar ist, und zwar sowohl beim Anlaufen der Zwirnvorrichtung als auch während des Zwirnens;
  • b) keine aufwendigen Getriebe und Kupplungen erforderlich sind;
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a device of the type mentioned by which
  • a) the elastomer thread distortion can be changed continuously, in a time-controllable manner, both when the twisting device starts up and during twisting;
  • b) no complex gears and clutches are required;
  • c) the elastomer thread distortion can be periodically controlled in a simple manner during the twisting and
  • d) in the case of a column of twist rings, the elastomer thread of each twist ring can be given an individually adjustable warp in a simple manner.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset in that the distortion of the elastomer thread is generated before sliding by means of sliding friction on at least one friction surface, the sliding friction force being changeable in a time-controllable manner by a control device.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims. Instead of complex delivery and rotary cylinders, gearboxes and clutches as well as drive shafts, the invention simply provides brake shoes which impart the desired tension to the thread prior to twisting by sliding friction.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in detail below with reference to the drawing. It shows
  • Fig. 1 shows a device according to the invention and
  • Fig. 2 shows another embodiment of a brake shoe according to the invention.

In the device according to the invention, an elastic thread 22 is produced from an elastomer thread 10 and two yarns, preferably OE yarns. As described in the main patent, the three threads are twisted essentially parallel in a twisting ring 21 via a deflection roller 44 for the elastomer thread or guide rollers 38, 40, 42. The non-elastic yarns 46 and 48 are pulled off their spools 24, 26 by the interaction of a pressure cylinder 32 which rests on the delivery cylinder 34. The conveying speed of the yarns is determined by the speed of rotation of the delivery cylinder 34. The elastomer thread 10 is pulled off its supply roll 28. Before the elastomer thread 10 is fed to the twisting ring 21 via the guide rollers 38, 44, it runs over at least one friction surface 20 of a brake shoe 12. The pressing force acting on the elastomer thread in the direction of the surface normal of the friction surface is brought about in the exemplary embodiment shown by a second brake shoe 14 . The thread is pressed between the friction surfaces, and depending on the pressing force on the friction surfaces, friction coefficient between thread and friction surface, length of the friction surface and thread diameter, the thread will generate a certain sliding friction force when sliding over the brake shoe or the brake shoes. It is precisely this sliding friction force that determines the distortion that is given to the elastomer thread compared to the yarn threads 46, 48.

It is clear that the friction surfaces of the brake shoes do not necessarily have to have the shape shown in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1, but that a large number of other configurations can also be advantageous, depending on the special requirements. For example, the friction surface can also be elongated, parallel to the thread, so that a long friction surface and a correspondingly large friction force are generated.

Also, two opposing brake shoes are not necessary, but the necessary pressing force of the elastomer thread against the friction surface can also be achieved by deflecting the thread 10, as z. B. is shown in Fig. 2 take place. A brake shoe 18 deflects the elastomer thread 10, which slides over a friction surface 50 of the brake shoe 18. By rotating the brake shoe 18 about an axis 52 in the direction of arrow 54, the effective length of the friction surface 50 will be very different depending on the position of the brake shoe 18 due to the asymmetrical shape of the friction surface, so that the thread tension can be varied. This embodiment is particularly advantageous when it is desired to produce a thread that has a periodically variable thread tension.

By varying the stamp pressure against the abutment brake shoe 14, the elastomer thread 10 is pressed differently against the friction surface 20, so that the thread tension can be varied with the control device 16. The control device 16 can be a simple threaded screw, possibly with a reduction, or else a more complex electronic, possibly programmable, automatically driven system.

Materials are used as friction threads 20, 50 which, with suitable friction coefficients, have little material abrasion with the elastomer thread.
