Definitions
- the invention relates to an ink ribbon cassette for a typewriter or similar office machine of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- a sound jam occurs in the interior of the housing and thus an increase in the noise level.
- the sound waves striking the housing or flat components from the inside stimulate the vibratable parts to vibrate, which in turn are the cause of the machine noise emitted to the outside.
- the bottom and top plate is provided with holes. Through these holes, the noise build-up is reduced and the noise level inside the housing is reduced, but the abrasion caused by the guidance and the drive of the used carbon strip falls through the holes in the base plate and contaminates the machine parts underneath. This contamination will sooner or later lead to malfunctions in the functional sequence.
- the invention has for its object to provide an ink ribbon cassette by which the noise accumulation in the interior of the housing is reduced and by which the abrasion of the spent carbon ribbon falls out of the cassette is prevented. This object is achieved by the invention characterized in the claim.
- an ink ribbon cassette 1 is arranged ready for operation on a receiving device 3 of a typewriter or similar office machine, which is arranged to be displaceable along a record carrier 5.
- the record carrier 5 is over a paper roll 7 arranged transportable in a known manner.
- the carbon ribbon 11 emerging from an exit slot 9 of the ribbon cassette 1 is unwound from a supply reel 13 and passed between the recording medium and a type carrier 21 via a tensioning lever 15 and ribbon guide forks 17, 19.
- the type carrier 21 is, for. B. a type wheel with a plurality of radial slots, whereby elastic webs are formed, at the ends of which a type is arranged.
- the setting of the type plate 21 takes place via a motor, not shown, which is also arranged on the receiving device 3.
- the printing of a character takes place via a displaceably mounted hammer on the receiving device 3, which z. B. is driven by an electromagnet.
- the ink ribbon 11 is pulled back into the cassette 1 by means of a drivable drive roller 23 and a pressure roller 25 which can be pressed against it, through an entry slot 27 and fed to a take-up reel 29.
- This take-up spool 29 is fixedly connected to a pulley 31, which is connected to a second pulley 35 in a friction-locked manner via a helical spring 33.
- the pulley 35 can be driven on the machine side.
- the base plate 37 of the ink ribbon cassette 1 according to FIG. 2 has openings 39 through which the noise accumulation in the interior of the housing can be reduced.
- the openings 39 are covered by an elastically deformable film 41. 3, this film 41 can be glued onto the base plate 37 from the outside.
- a film 43 can also be placed within the ink ribbon cassette 1 when mounting the supply reel 13 and the take-up reel 29 on the base plate 37 with the openings 39, as shown in FIG. 4.
- Contamination of the machine parts due to carbon abrasion falling out of the ink ribbon cassette 1 can also be prevented by a film being stretched on the receiving device 3 for the ink ribbon cassette 1 in the machine.
- the ink ribbon cassette 1 is placed on the film, which also has a favorable effect on reducing the noise.
- a further embodiment of the invention for the membrane covering the openings 39 consists in the fact that the base plate 37 according to FIG. 5 has blind holes 45, each formed with a membrane-like base 47.
- This training is very cheap to manufacture, the foils 41 and 43 according to FIGS. 3 and 4 being omitted and therefore no longer having to be assembled:
- the cross-sectional changes provided in the base plate 37 can be openings 39 which have a round, polygonal or other shape, or also blind holes 45. It is essential that the ribbon cassette 1 according to the invention enables a noticeable reduction in machine noise even with simple correspondence typewriters, without the risk of contamination of the machine parts lying under the cassette being caused by the abrasion of the used carbon ribbon.
- the blind holes 45 formed as recesses can be arranged only in the area of the guideway of the used carbon strip 1 and the guide elements 41, 43 from the entry point 27 into the cassette housing 1 to the transport roller 23 and in the edge area of the bottom flange 30 of the take-up spool 29, while the outside this area arranged recesses 39 have openings.
- the blind holes 45 serve here as a collecting container for the coal belt wear and prevent; that this abrasion reaches the openings and contaminates the parts of the receiving device arranged below the cassette.
- the blind holes 45 can be lined up in such a way that they form a continuous trench with individual chambers for the carbon belt abrasion between the part provided with openings (39) and the part without openings in the base plate 37 of the cassette 1.
- Direct abrasion of the abrasion on the used part of the carbon band can also be prevented if no openings 39 are arranged in the bottom plate 37 in the area of the guideway of the used carbon band and the guide elements 41, 43 to the take-up spool 29.
- a threshold 45 is arranged between the part 47 provided with openings and the part 49 of the bottom plate 37 of the cassette 1 with no openings. This threshold 45, which has a height of 0.1 to 0.3 mm, effectively prevents soiling of the machine parts by the abrasion of the carbon tape present in the cassette.
- the falling out of the carbon band abrasion can be prevented by the fact that at least the openings 39 adjoining the portion 49 of the base plate 37 which has no breakthrough have a circumferential collar-shaped threshold 51, see FIG. 3.
- the height of these thresholds 51 is also 0.1 to 0.3 mm. With this design, it is of course also possible that openings 39 can also be arranged in the breakthrough-free part 49 of the cassette 1.
- the openings 39 provided in the base plate 37 can have a round, polygonal or other shape. It is essential that the ribbon cassette 1 according to the invention has a noticeable reduction in machine noise, even with simple ones K orrespondenz typewriters enables, without the risk of contamination of the machine parts lying under the cassette due to the abrasion of the used carbon tape.
- the threshold between the part 47 provided with openings 39 and the part 49 without openings in the base plate 37 of the cassette 1 can also be designed in the form of a trench and have a depth of 0.1 to 0.3 mm.
- individual openings 39 can each be surrounded by a circumferential trench-shaped threshold.
- the trench-shaped sleepers also prevent ribbon abrasion from falling out of the ribbon cassette 1 and thus the soiling of machine parts.

Abstract
The ink ribbon cassette can be inserted or removed from the receiving device of a typewriter or similar office machine at any time without soiling the fingers. To reduce the noise in the machine, the bottom (47) of the ribbon cassette is provided with depressions (39, 45) which are closed by a membrane (41). This membrane prevents dirt particles from falling out of the ribbon cassettes and thus contamination of the machine parts in the machine's receiving device. The membrane can be a film (41) which covers the entire base plate (47) inside or outside. The depressions can also be blind holes (45), each with a membrane-like bottom (47). Furthermore, the depressions (39) provided with openings can be surrounded by a threshold, which can be trench-shaped for receiving the dirt particles or raised. The raised threshold prevents the dirt particles from penetrating to the recesses with the openings.
Description
The invention relates to an ink ribbon cassette for a typewriter or similar office machine of the type specified in the preamble of
Among the numerous known measures for damping the noises perceptible in the vicinity of typewriters and similar printing machines, in particular teleprinters and memory-controlled typewriters, those devices are of particular importance by which the impact noises that occur when the types are opened onto the paper against those in the vicinity persons located on the machine are shielded. So-called sound-absorbing hoods have proven to be particularly effective, which either hold the entire machine or can only be placed in the area of the paper feed above the platen roller. In the case of the sound absorbing hoods that completely absorb the machines, it is possible to observe the written text through a viewing window, but the accessibility for inserting and aligning the paper and making corrections is extremely cumbersome. For this reason, acoustic hoods of this type are not suitable for offices with frequent insertion of new letterheads.
In covers, which are placed only on the paper feed and removal in the field of Schreibwälze, although is in general handling common of the paper for the - operator of the machine easier, however, often with the result that the noise attenuation not having the desired effectiveness achieved can be. While in this type of sound-absorbing hood the operator's ability to observe the printed text is generally satisfactory, there is a particular problem in the accessibility of the printing unit for changing the type wheel and the ribbon cassette. In addition, the sound absorption hoods covering the platen are too expensive for cheap correspondence machines.
If, in addition, a machine, in particular an electric typewriter, is surrounded by a housing, a sound jam occurs in the interior of the housing and thus an increase in the noise level. The sound waves striking the housing or flat components from the inside stimulate the vibratable parts to vibrate, which in turn are the cause of the machine noise emitted to the outside.
To reduce this noise, a ribbon cassette has become known, the bottom and top plate is provided with holes.
The invention has for its object to provide an ink ribbon cassette by which the noise accumulation in the interior of the housing is reduced and by which the abrasion of the spent carbon ribbon falls out of the cassette is prevented. This object is achieved by the invention characterized in the claim.

In FIG. 1, an
Contamination of the machine parts due to carbon abrasion falling out of the
A further embodiment of the invention for the membrane covering the
The cross-sectional changes provided in the
Also, the
In the context of the invention, the
Direct abrasion of the abrasion on the used part of the carbon band can also be prevented if no
Through a further advantageous embodiment of the
The height of these thresholds 51 is also 0.1 to 0.3 mm. With this design, it is of course also possible that
The
Within the scope of the invention, the threshold between the
