Abstract

1. Colour applicator, especially for application of correction fluids on machine paper, drawings, photographics and photocopies, characterized in that the applicator (1) consists of a closed-cell plastic material with rough surface absorbing the paint to be applied.

Description

The invention relates to an applicator for color transfer according to the preamble of claim 1.

Brushes are known as applicators for color transfer. The disadvantage of applying correction fluid on writing paper, drawings, photos and photocopies is that the smallest areas, such as periods and commas, cannot be covered cleanly and cannot be covered with the necessary security. Furthermore, the brush shows a tassel-like appearance after only a short use, since the brush hairs spread apart.

B. US-A-2 481 803 und 2081 101, FR-A-2192918 und DE-C-431 521).Other known applicators consist of an open-pored plastic or metal sponge which is impregnated with the liquid in question from the inside (see, for example, US Pat. Nos. 2,481,803 and 2,081,101, FR-A-2192918 and DE-C-431 521 ).

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing an applicator for color transfer of the generic type, with which even the smallest areas can be covered with the necessary security by means of correction fluid, a change in the applicator being avoided through use.

The solution to this problem results from the characterizing feature of claim 1. The closed-cell plastic material receives the smallest recesses on its outer circumference through mechanical processing, into which the correction fluid or other dye-carrying liquids can settle. Penetration of the correction liquid or other dye-containing liquids into the applicator is impossible due to its closed-cell structure. The applicator according to the invention can also not be inadvertently expressed as p, as is possible with a brush similar to a sponge effect. This prevents the correction fluid from spilling and spilling. The pores on the outer circumference of the applicator, which are milled in particular during production, thus serve as the color carrier. The size of the milled pores or cells determines the amount of color that can be absorbed. The applicator can be easily cleaned by peeling it off after the correction liquid or paint has dried.

Closed-cell polyether, polyester foam or neoprene-based rubber are used in particular as the closed-cell plastic material.

Depending on the type of material, i.e. H. of the closed-cell plastic material, a pencil-like tip can be worked on the applicator. With the tip it is possible to cover even the smallest areas. The brushes used so far are too soft and can only be used over a large area.

The applicator according to the invention has the property, in particular, of taking up equal amounts of liquid or of taking it out of a container, in particular for correction liquid. Therefore, a wiper which is otherwise located in the storage container and is necessary for the brush can be dispensed with.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment of an applicator shown in the single figure. The only figure shows a view of the applicator.

The applicator 1 made of closed-cell plastic material, which in particular has milled pores or cells due to its manufacture, is firmly pushed onto the free end of a shaft 2 on a core 3 attached to the shaft 2, which on the one hand ensures a firm hold for the applicator 1, but on the other hand an accurate one Guidance when applying liquid guaranteed. The shaft 2 is provided at the other end with a connecting piece 4, which is used in particular in the lid of a container for correction fluid, not shown.

The applicator 1 has a rough surface, which is achieved in particular by milling out the contour. The applicator 1 also has a pencil-like tip 5 for fine, punctiform application of liquid or for covering the smallest areas.

Due to the roughness of the surface of the applicator 1, the amount of liquid that is present in the applicator and is removed from a storage container is always constant. Due to the constant amount of liquid adhering to the applicator 1, an otherwise necessary wiper in the reservoir can be dispensed with.

The applicator according to the invention can also be used with other liquids carrying dyes.
