Description

The invention relates to a coding switch with a plurality of conductor tracks arranged on a circuit board and bridged by a grinder and arranged in a ring.

In a known coding switch of the type mentioned above (DE-AS 1 245 622), the conductor tracks are arranged, for example, as a printed circuit on only one ring sliding track run over by a single sliding contact. In addition to the complicated path guidance for the power supply line, this has the disadvantage that the adjacent radial contact strips lying on the ring sliding path are bridged by only one grinder, which can lead to impurities when making contact.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a coding switch of the type mentioned above in such a way that, with a simple and spatially compact structure, good contact surfaces of the grinder on the conductor tracks are ensured and that the actuation of the coding switch is possible without additional drive means. This is achieved in a simple manner in that the conductor tracks lie coaxially with one another on different circular rings and the grinder is finger-shaped to match these circular rings and is provided with a handle at the end remote from the pivot point. The finger-shaped design of the grinder makes it possible to ensure the desired contact pressure for each individual contact path. The handle can be made in the form of a bulge in which a pencil or the like. is used. In order to avoid inadvertent adjustment of the set numbers, it is advantageous if a catch on the grinder is provided in the area of the handle, which can be connected to catch recesses on the circuit board. The locking lug can be formed by the bent rounded end of the grinder. In order to be able to accommodate a two-digit coding switch practically in the same space, it is advantageous if the conductor tracks to be bridged lie on semicircular rings and two wipers are conductively connected to the pivot point line to form two decades. If the grinders are comb-shaped with cranked comb teeth, the ends of which form the contact points, and the fulcrum lies in the web that is extended in the manner of the comb teeth, and advantageously the web extension is also cranked, the two grinders can overlap, i.e. one grinder is in the zero position and the other in position 9 without losing contact points on the circumference of the circle. For the manufacture of the grinder, it has proven to be advantageous if it is made from CuBe as a stamped and bent part.

An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing and the mode of operation is explained in more detail.

  • 2 one of the two grinders in plan view,
  • Fig. 3 shows the grinder of FIG. 2 in side view.

The coding switch shown in the drawing consists of the circuit board 1, on which the conductor tracks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, 7, 8, 9 are applied in the form of a printed circuit. The circuit board 1 can here be part of an existing relay circuit board. The conductor track 10 is used for supply to the grinders 11 and 12. The conductor tracks 3 and 7 and 4 and 6 lie on coaxial circular rings to the conductor tracks 2 and 5 and 8 and 9 or to the supply conductor track 10. As shown in FIG. 1, the conductor tracks 2 to 5 on one semicircle and the conductor tracks 6 to 9 on the other semicircle of the printed circuit board 1, so that two identical sliders 11 and 12 can be connected to the separate conductor tracks. The grinders 11 and 12 are provided with fingers 13 - in the present example 3 -. The fingers form the comb teeth, which are connected by the web 14. The opening 15 in an angled web extension 16 serves to insert a tubular rivet 17, which is inserted into the center hole 18 of the printed circuit board 1 and is intended for rotatably holding the grinders 11 and 12. The parts 19 of the grinder surrounding the opening 15 can advantageously be of corrugated type for better contact. Both the web extension 16 and the fingers 13 are cranked off, so that the web 14 can grip over the contact fingers resting on the conductor tracks without any contacts being closed. The web 14 ends, as shown in FIG. 2, in a handle 20, which is formed by recesses 21, 22 and can be produced without additional effort when punching the grinder, the recess 22 also serving for reading the set digits. In order to be able to lock the grinder in the corresponding position, it can be advantageous - as shown in broken lines in FIG. 3 - to round off and bend the free end of the grinder which forms the handle 20, so that the angled portion 23 forming the locking projection in on the printed circuit board 1 provided recesses 24 can snap into place. The annular recesses 24 can be used in the manufacture of printed circuit boards can be produced in automatic drills without incurring any significant additional costs.

The coding switch according to the invention is an extremely inexpensive version, which is particularly suitable even with small dimensions and occasional adjustment. It can be practically integrated into a printed circuit and can be implemented with or without a catch. It offers space for two decades on a circular area and can be operated from one side and the position can be recognized.
