Description

The invention relates to a play kit made of closed hollow bodies, preferably made of plastic, which consist of at least two parts which can be joined together.

Toy kits for toddlers have large bodies to facilitate gripping and stacking. For reasons of cost and material savings, such bodies are generally hollow. However, this has the disadvantage that the stability is reduced due to the low weight. Because the toddler's dexterity is not very pronounced, difficulties arise in particular when erecting columnar hollow bodies with a high center of gravity.

The invention has for its object to provide a toy kit made of hollow bodies, in which the disadvantages described above do not occur.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that the interior of the hollow body is partially filled with a flowable or rollable medium.

Due to the property of such a medium to move to the lowest point under the influence of gravity, the center of gravity of the hollow body is shifted towards the bearing surface due to the partial filling of the interior. The lower center of gravity results in a considerably higher stability of the hollow body. The fluidity or rolling ability of the medium ensures that the lowest possible center of gravity is always set, regardless of the contact surface used on the hollow body.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the medium can preferably be spheres made of glass with a diameter of approximately 2 to 5 mm. Due to the rolling ability of the balls and their mutual displacement possibility, they behave like a liquid. In addition, the balls have an acoustic effect, which contributes to an increase in the play value, especially in small children. The relatively small diameter of the balls results in a uniform distribution of the medium, which also extends into the corners. The balls can only be accessed if the hollow body is broken. When using glass balls of the specified diameter, even swallowing is harmless.

In a further addition to the invention, the amount of the medium filled into the hollow body can at least be sufficient to completely cover the largest inner surface of the hollow body when it is laid flat. This measure prevents the balls from being able to move freely after being placed on the largest standing surface of the hollow body. When the inner surface is completely covered, the balls are inevitably wedged in such a way that no weight shift can occur with a flat support.

Finally, in a further embodiment of the invention, the hollow bodies can consist of two identical parts which can be joined together indissolubly by welding, gluing, clipping or the like. With this design, both halves of the hollow body can be produced from the same injection mold. After the medium has been filled in, the two halves are inseparably connected to one another.

Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it:
  • Figure 1 shows a hollow body with filled balls
  • 2 shows a cylindrical hollow body set up on its end face
  • 3 shows the hollow body according to FIG. 2 lying on its outer surface

The cuboid hollow body 1 according to FIG. 1 consists of two identical halves 1 a, 1 b, which are joined together, for example, by gluing, welding or clipping. In the hollow body 1 there are preferably balls 2 made of glass with a diameter of approximately 2 to 5 mm. The number of balls 2 is selected so that when it is placed on the largest surface 3 of the hollow body 1, the corresponding inner surface 4 is completely covered with the balls. So that each ball is fixed in place on a level surface, so that no weight shift due to free rolling balls can occur. The weight of the filled balls shifts the center of gravity of the hollow body 1 in the direction of the support surface 3, so that there is an increase in stability.

The increase in stability has a particularly strong effect in the case of a cylindrical hollow body 10 according to FIG. 2, which is set up on its end face 11. If the same body is placed on its outer surface 12 as shown in FIG. 3, the balls 2 that are filled in provide a roll-off protection since the balls move the center of gravity below the central axis.
