Description

The invention relates to a mixer according to the preamble of claim 1.

In such a mixer known from DE-C-10 20 002, friction plates extending in the circumferential direction are attached to the inner wall of the container as comminution elements, each of which forms a counter surface to the circumferentially drivable mixer blades, thus together with these form a comminution device, the each mixing blade also has the function of a comminuting element. The friction plates can also be perforated and / or roughened like sieve plates. The purpose of these crushing devices is to immediately break up agglomerates that form during a treatment process. The effect of these shredding devices is unsatisfactory.

From DE-B-11 02534 it is known to use cutter heads which can be driven at high speed and which are provided in the region of the container wall and whose axis of rotation extends approximately radially to the container as a comminution device in mixers of the otherwise generic type. They are arranged so that they are arranged radially inside the mixing blades and partially overlap them axially.

It has also become known from Dürr's article "Feindispergieren Solid-Liquid Machines and Methods in Modern Business Practice", in the journal "Aufaufungs-Technik", Issue 6, 1971, that instead of such cutter heads, pin disc mills have the same arrangement as the cutter heads to provide.

Finally, it has become known from DE-B-17 82 585 to provide a rotationally drivable homogenizing tool, the axis of rotation of which is arranged at right angles to the mixer, on its container wall, the homogenizing tool being arranged in relation to the mixing blades in such a way that it has a shear gap relative to the mixing tools limited.

All of the above-mentioned rotationally drivable comminution elements have the disadvantage that complex seals are necessary in the area of their passage through the wall of the container. There is also a risk of their overhung shafts kinking. When goods are dried in the mixers, surface agglomerates that have dried on the surface, but are still plastic at the core, are formed, which are compressed when they collide with the high-speed comminution elements. This increases the diffusion resistance, the drying deteriorates and possibly even damages the end product. The type of agglomerate division results in a very heterogeneous particle size distribution, so that a subsequent grinding process is still necessary.

From the magazine "Chemiker-Zeitung", 94th year (1970) No. 4, page 123, a swash plate pump with a cylindrical housing and a shaft arranged coaxially therein is known. On the shaft, a swashplate is attached, that is, a disk that performs a wobble movement during rotation, which sucks in a medium to be pumped during its circulation through an intake port arranged at the end and in the center and conveys it through a tangentially arranged pressure port. The swash plate can be designed in a serrated or saw-like manner on its outer circumference. This form can be adapted to housing enclosures arranged on the housing, whereby this pump also has grinding properties.

From GB-A-16 768 a machine for producing a paper mash is known which has comminution devices in the conveying part, which consist of friction surfaces attached to the container and associated cylinder section surfaces with friction devices.

The invention has for its object to design a mixer of the generic type so that a highly effective and gentle comminution can be carried out while achieving a homogeneous particle size distribution of the material to be treated, without risk of damage to the comminuting elements.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. A grinding gap is formed between the grinding disks and the cylinder parts, so that forced comminution takes place. The arrangement of the cylinder parts enables the cylinder parts to be arranged so as to be radially adjustable, so that the width of the grinding gap is adjustable. This enables a very homogeneous grain distribution to be achieved, which means that a grinding process that follows the process can be omitted. With the mixer according to the invention, bulk goods, moist, fibrous and pulpy goods and suspensions can be dried, heated, cooled or mixed or subjected to a reaction under negative pressure, normal pressure or positive pressure.

The material to be treated is constantly mixed by means of the mixing blades, loosened and fed to the grinding disks, where it is then crushed in the grinding gap.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. It shows:
  • Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a mixer according to the invention and
  • 2 shows a cross section through the mixer according to section line 11-11 in FIG. 1st

The mixer shown in the drawing has a drum-like container 1 with mixing blades 3 which can be driven by a shaft 2 passing through, with holding arms 4 which are evenly distributed over the shaft 2 with respect to distance and angular position. Between these mixing blades 3, grinding disks 5 are additionally arranged at an angle to the longitudinal direction on the rotating shaft 2, which wobbles when rotated perform movement. The number of grinding disks 5 is at least "one" and at most the number of mixing blades 3 reduced by "one". The optimum degree of filling of the container 1 with bulk material 6 or fibrous suspension is approximately 70%.

The grinding disks 5, which perform a wobble movement when rotating, interact on their peripheral surface with stationary counter surfaces, both of which are profiled. The peripheral surface is formed on interchangeable grinding segments 7, while the counter surfaces are formed by the inner surfaces 8 of cylinder parts that can be adjusted relative to the container 1. The cylinder parts are arranged on supports 9 that can be adjusted from the outside in the container 1 in such a way that mixing blades 3 can pass through them on one or both sides , as can be seen from Fig. 1. The adjustable supports 9 for the cylinder parts are sealed by means of bellows 10. The cylinder parts are arranged in the lower region of the container 1 on the part rising in the direction of rotation D of the shaft 2 and cover approximately 10-50%, preferably 25%, of the circumference of the container 1 covered by the mixing blades 3.

The effective width b of the grinding disks 5 corresponds approximately to the axial extent of a mixing blade 3. The cylinder parts are, as can be seen from the drawing, under the action of a spring 11. Here, the adjustable supports 9 of the cylinder parts can be designed as spring pistons, the spring pistons are preferably formed by so-called constant spring supports, which are not particularly shown here, so that a constant pressure is achieved. Stubs 12, 13 are used for filling and emptying the container 1. Provisions have been made in order to be able to draw off the moisture given off by the material to be treated and to be able to supply reactants.
