Abstract

A method for laying a shirt, comprising the steps of folding a first shirt yoke and a second shirt yoke along mutually parallel folding lines; laying said first folded yoke on said shirt back and on said second yoke; fastening said first shift yoke to said second shirt yoke with a clamp positioned in the area of a beak formed by said first folded shirt yoke and said second folded shirt yoke; laying a first shirt sleeve and a second shirt sleeve on said fastened yokes respectively; folding said shirt torso end along a folding line extending transversely to said mutually parallel folding lines and at a distance from said shirt collar; fastening said torso end to said shirt by means of at least a first pin and a second pin located at a distance from said shirt collar; folding said torso end along said first shirt yoke and said second shirt yoke; and, tucking said torso behind said first folded shirt yoke and said second folded shirt yoke.

Description

The invention relates to a packaging for a shirt, in particular a men's shirt, with an essentially rectangular stiffening insert, which underlines the collar of the shirt with a section and whose parallel longitudinal edges form fold lines for the shirt's fits folded over, the upper edges of the folded fits between them form a beak and are attached to each other with a clip pushed in the area of the beak, and a section of the shirt facing away from the collar is placed on the folded-over passages around a fold line defined by the short side of the stiffening insert, and an insertion end adjoining the section is placed around the edges of the Folded over and inserted between the fit and the stiffening insert.

In a known packaging of the type described (DE-U 7427718), the stiffening insert is also used to fasten parts of the shirt. For this purpose, the stiffening insert has a longitudinal slit through which one sleeve of the shirt is pulled during packaging. This requires special care when packaging the shirt, because it depends on the guidance of the sleeve in the longitudinal slit whether and how the other parts of the shirt are wrinkle-free and so close to each other that in particular the insertion end is pushed behind the sleeve or sleeves attached to the stiffening insert and held there can be. Unpacking the shirt is similarly cumbersome because the consumer practically has to unwrap the stiffening insert from the shirt.

Another known packaging (DE-A 2749818) uses a stiffening insert with side edge strips and pre-embossed fold lines, around which the side envelopes of the shirt are folded and folded with them onto the back of the shirt, so that the side envelopes between the edge strips of the stiffening insert and these are clamped themselves. This also requires laborious manipulations when unpacking the shirt.

On the other hand, it is known to use needles when packaging shirts, but for optical reasons they are usually arranged on the packaging so that they are not visible from the outside. Then the consumer cannot easily see how many needles have to be pulled before the shirt can be unfolded. If the consumer does not find or miss one or more of the needles, this needle remains or these needles remain in the shirt and can accordingly cause injuries when the shirt is later put on or worn.

The object of the invention is to pack a shirt in the simplest possible way and with as few needles as possible so that the consumer finds the needles without difficulty when unpacking.

This object is achieved in the case of packaging of the type described at the outset in that the section facing away from the collar is fastened to the folded-over fits with two needles.

In the case of the packaging according to the invention, the stiffening insert only has the task of defining fold lines and stabilizing the shape of the shirt placed around the stiffening insert. The stiffening insert is no longer a holding and fastening element because the parts of the shirt are no longer attached to it. Nevertheless, the last insertable end to be folded over can be inserted behind the upper edge of the fit and held there without additional fastening measures being required in this area and without the stiffening insert being used directly for fastening purposes. Here, too, the stiffening insert acts as a stabilizer, but the effect on the stability of the shirt is only indirect, because the insertion end inserted behind the fit is not held by the stiffening insert, but behind the upper edge of the fit, which is only connected by a clip. The only fastening elements used are the two needles with which the section facing away from the collar is fastened to the folded-over fits.

It is also possible to pull the stiffening insert out of the shirt without changing the way the shirt folds. This is particularly advantageous when presenting the shirt for sales purposes because the dealer can pull out the stiffening insert of the shirt without difficulty and can then offer and sell the still folded shirt in a softer condition.

The two needles for fastening the folded section are advantageously arranged at about half the length between the upper edge of the fit and the transverse fold line.

In an embodiment in which the sleeves are arranged on the folded-over fits and at least one cuff with its cuff seam essentially parallel to the longitudinal fold lines and outside of the fold, at least one of the two needles can be used to fasten the folded-over section in the area of the outside lying cuff connecting sleeve so that the sleeve is also fixed. The cuff can then be folded over onto the front of the shirt and secured with a clip, one end of which is pushed into the cuff slot and over the front of the shirt and the other end under the adjoining sleeve.

The shirt shown in the drawing is to be folded and folded in such a way that it can be placed in a conventional packaging bag made of transparent film and offered for sale.

The shirt shown in Fig. 1 and visible from its back consists in its basic structure of a body part 1 with yoke 2 and adjoining sleeves 3, 4 and collar 5. The shirt is spread out in the manner shown on a laying table, the front of the shirt is facing the laying table. On the back of the shirt is then placed in the area between yoke 2 and body part 1, a substantially rectangular stiffening insert 6, which usually consists of cardboard and has an extension 7 at the upper edge, which is followed by a reinforcement strip pushed under the collar 5.

The two long sides of the stiffening insert 6 define fold lines 8, 9, around which the associated lateral sections 10, 11 of the yoke 2 and the body part 1 are folded over onto the stiffening insert 6 such that the two sections of the yoke 2 lie one on top of the other to form a beak 12. Then, in the area of the beak 12, a clamp 15 is pushed over the two upper edges 13, 14 of the superimposed fitting sections, which holds the two fitting sections together (FIG. 2).

The sleeves are placed so that the sleeve 3 extends substantially in the longitudinal direction of the folded shirt, while the sleeve 4, which forms the top of the fold, is placed so that its cuff 16 is outside the fold and its cuff seam 17 is extends substantially parallel to the fold line 9.

Then a lower section 18 of the fuselage part with the envelopes lying thereon is folded over a fold line 19 defined by the short side of the stiffening insert 6, the stiffening insert 6 being dimensioned such that the section 18 is longer than the rest of the rest of the laying table Owns shirt. Accordingly, the folded-over section 18 extends beyond the collar 5 with an insertion end 20 (FIG. 3). Now the front of the shirt lies on top of the fold and the button panel 21 is visible.

Next, in addition to the folding lines 8, 9, two needles 22, 23 are inserted from above through the folded-over section 18 and the envelopes underneath, in order to fasten the section 18 to the layers underneath. The needle 23 is arranged so that it also fastens the sleeve 4, the cuff 16 of which lies next to the folded package.

Then the insertion end 20 of the folded-over section is wrapped around the upper edges 13, 14 of the folded-over fitting sections and inserted into the opening formed between the folded-over fitting sections and the back of the shirt in the area of the beak 20 (FIG. 4).

The shirt is now turned over (FIG. 5) and the cuff 16 is turned over onto the front of the shirt and secured with a clip 25 inserted into the cuff slot 24. The clip 25 is inserted into the cuff slot 24 in such a way that one end engages over the front of the shirt and the other end under the adjoining sleeves and thus under the folded-over section 11.

It goes without saying that the individual parts of the shirt are smoothed when laid and folded. Parts that have already been laid and fastened by staples and / or needles can no longer move against one another and remain smooth, so that the shirt folded according to the invention can be placed in a packaging bag made of transparent film and can be offered for sale. Neither needles nor clips are visible in the transparent film. After removing the shirt from the packaging bag, only the two needles 22, 23, which are visible from the rear, need to be removed. The clips 15 and 25 practically loosen themselves when the shirt is unfolded.

Claims (4)

1. Packing for a shirt, in particular a man's shirt, with a substantially rectangular stiffening insert (6), which has a piece (7) which extends under the collar (5) of the shirt and the parallel longitudinal edges of which form the fold lines (8, 9) for the yokes of the shirt folded thereon (10, 11), the upper edges (13, 14) of the folded yokes (10, 11) forming a void 12 between one another and being secured to one another by a pushed on clip (15), and a piece (18) of the shirt (5) remote from the collar around a fold line (19) defined by the short side of the stiffening insert (6) placed on the folded yokes (10, 11) and an insertion end (20) attached to the piece 18 folded around the edges (13, 14) of the yokes (10, 11) and placed between the yokes (10, 11) and the stiffening insert (6), characterised in that the piece (18) remote from the collar (5) is secured with two pins (22, 23) on the folded yokes (10, 11).

2. Packing according to claim 1, characterised in that both the pins (22, 23) for securing the folded piece (18) are arranged at approximately half the distance between the upper edge (13, 14) of the yokes and the transversely extending fold line (19).

Packing according to claim 1 or 2, the sleeves (3, 4) being arranged on the folded yokes (10, 11) and at least one cuff (16) with its cuff seam substantially parallel to the longitudinal fold lines (8, 9) and outside the fold, characterised in that at least one of the two pins (23) for securing the folded section (18) is arranged in the region of the sleeve (4) attached to the cuff (16), and disposed outside, in such a manner that the sleeve (4) is also secured.

4. Packing according to claim 3, characterised in that the cuff (16) is folded round on to the front side of the shirt and fastened with a clip (25), one end of which is pushed into the cuff slit (24) and pushed over the front side of the shirt and the other end of which is pushed below the attached sleeve (4).
