Das Ende 34 stützt sich dabei auf einem an der Achse 8 angebrachten Stift 36 ab, während sich das Ende 35 in einer im Druckwerk 7 angebrachten Ausnehmung 37 an einer Innenfläche dieser Ausnehmung 37 abstützt. Die Drehfeder 33 übt auf das Druckwerk 7 eine Kraft aus, die das Druckwerk 7 in der Darstellung von Fig. 1 im Uhrzeigersinn vorspannt. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß das Druckwerk 7 nach dem Herausschwenken aus dem Gehäuse 1 in eine Grundstellung gedreht wird. Die Grundstellung wird durch einen am Druckwerk 7 angebrachten Anschlag 38 und einen im Rahmen 22 angebrachten Schlitz 39 festgelegt, der längs eines Bogens um die Achse des Druckwerks 7 verläuft. Die Länge des Schlitzes bestimmt dabei den maximalen Drehweg des Druckwerks 7. Claims (4)

1. Hand labelling apparatus for imprinting and dispensing pressure-sensitive labels (14) adhering to a carrier tape (15), comprising a housing (1) having at its rear end a grip (2) and an operating lever (3) pivotal against said grip (2), a printing mechanism (7) disposed in the front region of the housing (1) and driveable by the operating lever (3), said printing mechanism (7) being disposed in a frame (22) which is connected to the housing (1) pivotally for pivoting the printing mechanism (7) out of the housing (1) with disengagement of the driving connection (5, 6) between the printing mechanism (7) and the operating lever (3), and a feed means which is disposed in the housing (1), driveable by the operating lever (3) and feeds the carrier tape (15) from a supply roll (13) to the printing mechanism (7) and to a peel edge (19) at which the pressuresensi- tive labels (14) detach from the carrier tape (15) and move into a dispending position beneath an applicator roll (21) rotatably mounted at the front end of the lower side of the housing (1), characterized in that with a rotary printing mechanism as the printing mechanism a device (28, 29; 33) is provided for holding the rotary printing mechanism (7) in a basic position when the driving connection with the operating lever (3) is disengaged.
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said device is a ratchet mechanism which includes a nose (28) disposed on the periphery of the rotary printing mechanism (7) and a pawl (29) which upon pivoting the rotary printing mechanism (7) out of the housing (1) engages the nose (28) and secures the rotary printing mechanism (7) against rotation about its shaft (8).
3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said device is a torsion spring (33) which engages with one end the shaft (8) of the rotary printing mechanism (7) and with the other end the rotary printing mechanism (7) and biases the rotary printing mechanism (7) in the predetermined basic position.
4. Apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in said torsion spring (33) is a coil spring which is disposed within the rotary printing mechanism and surrounds the shaft (8) thereof.
