Definitions
- the invention relates to a gear rim holder on a radially outwardly projecting flange of a part of a mixing drum, in particular a tilting drum mixer for building materials or the like (DE-GB 1 881 080).
- Such mixing drums consist of two drum parts drawn from sheet metal in a pot shape. The two parts lie against each other with their radially outwardly projecting flanges.
- the two flanges can be bound together with screws, which are spaced all around at a suitable spacing, with the interposition of a sealing ring, which is preferably used when, for reasons of small transport volume, the two drum parts can be dismantled and are to be shipped separately and stacked one inside the other.
- one of the two flanges can also be designed as a folded collar comprising the flange of the other drum part; this ensures a watertight connection of the two drum parts even without a seal (DE-GM 72 09 161).
- the object on which the invention is based is aimed at creating a toothed ring holder which is precisely centered and flat both in the axial and in the radial direction, and ensures a stable position of the toothed ring which does not require screws, so that the toothed ring base body has the least amount possible dimensions can be reduced.
- the ring gear can be made of cast iron, in particular cast iron, or plastic; it can also consist of a sheet metal gear rim. It can be closed into a ring or be composed of segments.
- this object is achieved in that the flange of a gear rim holder of the type described in the introduction has a crank ring overlapping the gear rim base body and flanking on both sides, and in that in the outer flank of the gear rim at one or more locations of a tooth gap, a beveled recess is provided from the outside inwards , in which the adjacent part of the crank ring engages for mutual interlocking.
- the outwardly projecting flange is expanded to a cranking ring which forms a U-profile in cross section, which has the desired planing and centering effect both in the axial and in the radial direction.
- this self-contained cranking ring enables positive interlocking at more or less numerous points with recesses in the outer flank of the ring gear. Since these recesses are chamfered from the outside inwards, for which they are preferably located at the tooth base of a tooth gap, the hooking acts not only in the circumferential direction but also in the radial direction like a claw. The adjacent to this recess Batch of the crank ring does not need to completely fill the recess; rather, it can lie pressed in with arched transitions.
- the number of hooking points can be distributed evenly over the circumference, for example, twelve.
- the number naturally depends on the segment division, with at least two such hooks per segment being expediently provided.
- the ring gear is thus also firmly embedded in the form of segments in the U-profile of the crank ring. Since the crank ring is an integral part of the round drum part, it is extremely stable as a carrier of the ring gear holder.
- transitions of the web of the U-profile to its two legs contain arcuate beads. These beads cause further stiffening.
- the mixing drum consists of a drum part 1 containing an opening 2 and a drum part 8 which carries an outwardly projecting central support pin 3 'which has its pivot bearing in a swivel bracket 4.
- the swivel bracket 4 has a semicircular shape and carries at its two ends journal 5, on which it is pivoted or rotated through 360 ° in frame bearings, not shown.
- a shaft with a pinion 6 is guided, which meshes with the sprocket 7 attached to the outer jacket of the mixing drum, via which the mixing drum is rotated about its central axis of rotation running through the axis line of the trunnion 3, if mixing is to take place what can be done in different swivel positions.
- the finished mixture is emptied by swiveling into a correspondingly deep inclination of the opening 2.
- Fig. 2 shows that both drum parts 1 and 8 drawn from sheet metal in a pot shape have a flange 9 and 10 projecting radially outwards.
- a sealing ring 11 With the interposition of a sealing ring 11, the two flanges are flanged together by a number of screws 12 distributed over the circumference.
- the flange 10 of the drum lower part 8 consisting of thicker sheet metal is extended to a crank ring 13 which overlaps the toothed ring base body of the toothed ring 7 and flanks on both sides. In cross section, this has a U-profile.
- the transitions from its web to its two legs 14, 15 are designed in an arc shape by beads 16.
- a recess 17 which is bevelled from the outside inwards is provided. It begins on the outside below the tooth base of a tooth gap 7 'and rises to just below the pitch circle 7 ".
- the adjacent parts 18 of the outer leg 14 of the crank ring 13 are pressed into these recesses 17 for mutual hooking 17/18 - see also FIG. 4.
- Kröpfun g sring 13 is part of the lower drum part 8, it can also be formed from the upper drum part 1 within the scope of the invention.
- Fig. 3 differs from FIG. 2 only in that the flange 10 of the lower drum part 8 is also provided with a double folded collar 19, 20, which comprised the flange 9 of the upper drum part 1 before it forms the crank ring 13 ; thus the screw fastening 12 and the sealing ring 11 according to FIG. 2 can be dispensed with.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a gear rim holder on a radially outwardly projecting flange of a part of a mixing drum, in particular a tilting drum mixer for building materials or the like (DE-GB 1 881 080). Such mixing drums consist of two drum parts drawn from sheet metal in a pot shape. The two parts lie against each other with their radially outwardly projecting flanges. Here, the two flanges can be bound together with screws, which are spaced all around at a suitable spacing, with the interposition of a sealing ring, which is preferably used when, for reasons of small transport volume, the two drum parts can be dismantled and are to be shipped separately and stacked one inside the other. However, one of the two flanges can also be designed as a folded collar comprising the flange of the other drum part; this ensures a watertight connection of the two drum parts even without a seal (DE-GM 72 09 161).
The object on which the invention is based is aimed at creating a toothed ring holder which is precisely centered and flat both in the axial and in the radial direction, and ensures a stable position of the toothed ring which does not require screws, so that the toothed ring base body has the least amount possible dimensions can be reduced. The ring gear can be made of cast iron, in particular cast iron, or plastic; it can also consist of a sheet metal gear rim. It can be closed into a ring or be composed of segments.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the flange of a gear rim holder of the type described in the introduction has a crank ring overlapping the gear rim base body and flanking on both sides, and in that in the outer flank of the gear rim at one or more locations of a tooth gap, a beveled recess is provided from the outside inwards , in which the adjacent part of the crank ring engages for mutual interlocking.
In the invention, the outwardly projecting flange is expanded to a cranking ring which forms a U-profile in cross section, which has the desired planing and centering effect both in the axial and in the radial direction. In addition, this self-contained cranking ring enables positive interlocking at more or less numerous points with recesses in the outer flank of the ring gear. The number of hooking points can be distributed evenly over the circumference, for example, twelve. When dividing the ring gear into several segments, the number naturally depends on the segment division, with at least two such hooks per segment being expediently provided. The ring gear is thus also firmly embedded in the form of segments in the U-profile of the crank ring. Since the crank ring is an integral part of the round drum part, it is extremely stable as a carrier of the ring gear holder.
This property can be further enhanced if, according to a further feature of the invention, the transitions of the web of the U-profile to its two legs contain arcuate beads. These beads cause further stiffening.
Two embodiments of the ring gear holder according to the invention are shown in the drawings.
