Claims (6)

1. Device projecting balls by elastic impact, provided with a striker means (1) mounted on the end of a striker lever (2) or the like in order, at the end of the travel of the striker lever (2) or the like, to strike a ball (8) placed on a presentation element (7) and to project said ball along a firing axis, characterised in that the said striker means (1) is arranged to comprise a plurality of striker elements (5) which come into contact with the ball (8) simultaneously and are situated symmetrically with respect to the plane in which the striker lever (2) is displaced, and in that the said projecting device comprises a means (10, 13, 14) for causing deviation of the ball (8), said means being arranged to present or withdraw deviation-causing elements (18) which come into contact with the ball (8) simultaneously and which are arranged symmetrically with respect to the vertical plane extending down the axis of firing.

Device for projecting balls according to claim 1, characterised in that each striker element (5) is rotatable about a shaft (4) approximately parallel to a rotary movement shaft (6) of the presentation element (7) on which the ball (8) is placed before it is struck, in that each striker element is of a diameter markedly smaller than that of the ball (8) and of slight inertia, and in that each deviation-causing element (18) is rotatable about an axis approximately horizontal and perpendicular to the firing axis, and is also of a diameter markedly smaller than that of the ball (8) and of slight inertia.
3. Device for projecting balls according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the striker means (1) comprises an adjustment mechanism modifying the position of the striker elements (5) relatively to the striker lever (2).
4. Device for projecting balls according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the deviation-causing means (10, 13, 14) comprises an adjusting mechanism (19, 20) modifying the position of the deviation-causing elements (18) with respect to the positioning cup (9).

Device for projecting balls according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the striker means (1) comprises a fork with two prongs (3) each equipped at its free end with a shaft (4) about which rotates freely at least one wheel (5) forming a striker element and in that, at the instant of striking the ball (8), each shaft (4) is approximately parallel to the rotary shaft (6) of the element (7) presenting the ball (8).
6. Device for projecting balls according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the deviation-causing means comprises a stirrup (10) comprising two arms (12) on which there is attached for pivoting movement about a shaft (14) perpendicular to a vertical plane extending down the firing axis, a mobile part (13) constituted by two forks (15) rendered integral with one another by a flat element (16) and each carrying a shaft (17) which is parallel to the shaft (14) and about which there can rotate freely a roller (18) of small diameter and of low inertia, and in that the mobile part (13) has an adjusting system (19, 20) modifying the position of the rollers (18).
