Description

The invention relates to a seat-couch furniture with two upholstery parts, which can be used either as seating or as a couch, in that the seat cushion is releasably connected at the rear upper edge to the rear lower edge of a back cushion reduced by the seat depth, the seat cushion on a lower frame serving as a bed box is laterally extendable and supported in the extended position, the lower frame has a support frame for receiving the back cushion in the extended position and the seat cushion is connected on both sides to the lower frame by known hinges or spring-loaded fittings, the Articulated parts attached to the frame of the seat cushion and slidably arranged in rails of the lower frame, one armrest is detachably attached to each side of the seat cushion and the back cushion is divided in the middle and is equal to the length of the seat cushion.

Such furniture is known from DE-A 27 32 545. This piece of furniture has a constant backrest width for two people. If the seat depth is anatomically correct, the length of the recliner can only be selected as with normal utility furniture if the armrest width, which is the same as the height of the upholstered seat, is variably adjusted to the length of the recliner. The constant back width therefore always requires a certain width of the seating furniture with a normal lying length. The overall length as a couch must inevitably always be greater than the selected couch length, because the slope of the leaning surface must be added. If, however, there is not enough space for the depth in the sitting and lying position, but on the other hand a lying length equal to that of normal utility furniture is desired, this task cannot be solved. In addition, the back cushion included in the lying area would protrude laterally and beyond the reduced lying width, which makes the furniture not only unsuitable for tight spaces, but also as built-in furniture. If you still wanted to achieve a normal lying length, the seating width would have to be increased significantly. In addition, since the leaning height in the known furniture can only be held by a head part height above the seat height, the support comfort is not great.

According to GB-A-918 972, a seat-reclining piece of furniture is known in which the back cushion is divided in the middle and is equal to the length of the lying cushion and the lying length corresponds to the length of the seat cushion plus the length of one of the back cushions. However, this piece of furniture is very complex, because a table attachment is required for the support surface of the back cushions, which has to be folded down by 180 °, then protrudes 33 cm (if you assume a lying length of 2 m) and is only cantilevered due to the leverage effect and therefore requires a complicated construction in order to avoid damage in the event of an incorrect load during sleep. In addition, the cushion upholstery must also be secured against slipping by table cheeks and a closing board.

Another piece of furniture is known from FR-A-827 213. The disadvantage of this piece of furniture is that the width of the side pull-out has to be kept considerably narrower than the depth of the seat cushion and that the back cushions protrude laterally and therefore wear out quickly on the edges of the furniture fabric and can also slip due to sleep movements. In order to achieve a horizontal contact surface, the back cushions must be kept rectangular in cross-section, which means that with a lying width equal to that of normal utility furniture, the seat depth is anatomically too large and there is also no anatomically correct back bevel on the back cushions.

The invention has for its object to reduce the width and depth of the seating furniture in the furniture according to DE-A 27 32 545 and at the same time to increase the back height and to limit the selected length of the lying length to the actual lying length.

This object is achieved in that the lying length corresponds to the length of the seat cushion plus the length of one of the back cushions, that the back cushions have a slope to lean on in the sitting position, that their greatest thickness in the lying position extends to the greatest depth of the support frame The support frame is formally adapted to the back cushions and that the back cushions in the reclining position abut the upper cross frame of the bed box. A useful development of the invention is contained in claim 2.

The invention is explained in more detail in the following description using exemplary embodiments. It shows
  • 1 is a perspective view of the furniture in the sitting position,
  • Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the furniture without inserted back cushions and
  • Fig. 3 shows the same representation as Fig. 2, but with the support boards folded down.

Fig. 1 shows the furniture in the sitting position, which consists of a lower bed box 1, the seat cushion 2, the armrests 5, 6 with the hinges 12, 13 and the back cushion parts 3, 4. The back cushions 3, 4 are detachably connected at their rear lower edge to the rear upper edge of the seat cushion 2 via hinges 7, 8.

In Fig. 2 you can see the open bed box 1, in which vertical boards 11 are visible as a side support for laying boards 9, 10.

Support feet 15 are attached to the lower side part of the seat cushion 2 and are invisible in the sitting position according to FIG. 1. In Fig. 2 it is indicated how the back cushions 3, and the armrests 5, 6 can be stowed in the bed box. The greatest thickness 14 of the back cushions is sufficient here the lying position to the greatest depth of the support frame.

Fig. 3 zeigt, in welcher Weise die Auflegebretter 9, 10 klappbar sind.3 shows the manner in which the laying boards 9, 10 can be folded.
