Description

The invention relates to a partition for shower or bath tubs installed in building corners by means of two walls which can be pulled out at right angles to one another, are flexible or foldable.

According to DE-U-7306736 (& FR-A-2218865), such a partition consists of two curtains which are suspended from ceiling rails running at right angles to one another and on the front edges of which are attached magnetic strips which interact with one another in the closed state. When not in use, the two curtains hang on the building walls and are therefore always visible.

From DE-C-2291 50 an extendable wall is also known, which is invisible in the retracted state because it can be wound up on a take-up reel that is stored in a hollow post, but with this partition no corner shower or Corner bathtub can be separated.

The post can be screwed directly to the building wall or attached to it using a winding rail. Correspondingly, two longitudinal slots are provided through which the flexible wall can optionally be passed. The object of the invention is to provide a partition with two mutually perpendicular pull-out walls for corner showers or corner baths, which is easy to assemble, has a better appearance, especially when not in use, and does not require any wall slots, ceiling rails and the like.

The invention is characterized by a hollow corner post that can be placed on the tub corner diagonally opposite the corner of the building, from which the two walls can be pulled out.

Embodiments of the invention consist in that the hollow post, which is designed as a slender strut, contains two winding rollers, which are provided in the manner of spring roller blinds with a built-in return spring, or alternatively can be driven by a motor and on which the walls, which consist in particular of film material, are wound. The walls can then be pulled out individually and, with their vertical front edges, on which strips are located, preferably magnetically connected to corresponding building strips. The walls disappear into the hollow post when not in use. The partition according to the invention does not require any ceiling rails and, thanks to a height adjustment device, installation is easily possible in rooms of different heights without the help of specialists.

The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawing, which shows two exemplary embodiments.

It shows:
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the new partition, in which a partition is pulled out,
  • Figure 2 is a horizontal sectional view through the separation along the line 2-2 of Figure 1, and
  • Figure 3 is a side view of a modified embodiment of the partition, just before the closed position of a wall.

Die vorderen Vertikalränder der biegsamen Wände 30, 30 tragen Leisten 32, die bei eingerollten Wänden die Schlitze 22, 23 abdekken.FIG. 1 shows a hollow corner post 10 which consists of a profile body which has two side walls 12, 14 lying at right angles to one another, two shorter end walls 16, 18 which in each case adjoining them at right angles and a diagonal wall 20. The profile body has a constant cross section over its entire height and is provided at the bottom with an at least partially closed bottom 24 and at the top with a top wall 26. On the bottom 24 and the top wall 26, two parallel, vertical winding rollers 28, 28 are rotatably mounted. A flexible wall 30 made of plastic film or a coated fabric is wound on each of the two winding rollers. In the two end walls 16, 18 there are vertical slots 22, 23 through which the flexible walls 30, 30 emerge from the hollow corner post 10. The front vertical edges of the flexible walls 30, 30 carry strips 32, which cover the slots 22, 23 when the walls are rolled up.

The hollow corner post 10 is very easy to assemble. On the tub corner diagonally opposite the corner of the building, a foot 36 is glued, which consists of a profile tube, the inside cross section of which corresponds to the outside cross section of the hollow corner post 10. The hollow corner post 10 can thus be inserted into this foot 36. At the upper end, a tube is placed on the hollow corner post 10 on the top wall 26, in which a screw spindle 54 can be screwed out until the fastening plate 56 provided at its upper end touches the building ceiling. Above the mounting plate 56, a mandrel concentric with the spindle 54 can be provided which presses into the ceiling in order to hold the post 10 securely. In addition, the fastening plate can be fastened to the building ceiling by means of screws, for which purpose the fastening plate 56 has four fastening holes. In the plane of movement of the flexible walls 30, steel strips 58 are glued or screwed onto the building walls. The vertical strips 32 of the flexible walls 30 are made of magnetic material or have magnetic inserts which cooperate with the steel strips 58 in order to to keep flexible walls 30 in the closed position. The two winding rollers 28 have built-in springs, as are known in spring roller blinds, so that the walls 30 are kept taut in the extended state, that is to say are tensioned. If the magnetic connection between the strips 32, 58 is released, the flexible walls 30 automatically pull into the hollow post due to the springs installed in the winding rollers 28 and are therefore invisible.

The corner post 10 has on its outer side surfaces 12 and / or 14 clothes hooks 38. A soap dish 40 is provided on the inner diagonal surface 20 and above this, on a holding arm 60 pointing diagonally in the direction of the opposite corner of the building, a stationary brush 62 is attached which the user can brush his back on.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the hollow corner post 110 has been changed somewhat and has been extended upwards beyond the upper edge of the flexible wall 30. In this extension section, an electric motor 45 is mounted, which is coupled via a gear 44 to both drive rollers 128, of which only one roller can be seen in the illustration according to FIG. 3. On two vertical struts 50, one of which protrudes downward from an upper intermediate wall and another stands upward from the bottom of the post, a pair of articulated arms 48 is articulated, the two arms of which are connected by an articulation 52 which has an expansion spring. The free ends of the two pairs of articulated arms 48, 48 are connected to the vertical bar 132, to which the front vertical edge of the flexible wall 30 is attached. The hollow corner post 110 is placed in the same way as the post 10 on the corner of a shower tray 34 opposite the building corner and fastened to the ceiling by means of the height adjustment device, not shown here.

After entering the shower tray 34, a push button switch 46 is actuated, which starts the motor 45 and allows the flexible wall 30 to be unwound from the respective roller 128 due to the springs installed in the joints 52. Figure 3 illustrates a position of the flexible wall 30 shortly before the closed position. With the motor 45 running, the strip 132 comes into contact with the strip 158 on the building wall and is held there due to the magnetic force. At the same time, the motor 45 is stopped via a microswitch, not shown. A renewed actuation of the push button switch 46 causes the motor 45 to start up in the opposite direction of rotation and the wall 30 to roll in, which remains tensioned due to the spreading springs which are built into the joints 52. Here, too, the motor 45 is stopped by a built-in microswitch when the strip 132 has closed the hollow post opening.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the wall does not have to be guided by hand.

The pair of articulated arms 48 can of course also be used in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, that is to say without an electromotive drive. In this case, there would also be no need to guide the flexible wall 30 by hand. Instead of a single motor 45 and a distribution gear 44, each of the two rollers 128 can have its own motor, which is particularly advisable if the two walls are of different lengths.

Finally, it is also within the scope of the invention to use only a single take-up roll 28 or 128 and to wind both flexible walls 30 onto one another on this roll. However, this would mean operating both walls at the same time.
