Definitions
- the invention relates to a kit for the production of frames for carcasses, in particular for carcasses of showcases and showcases, with basic profiles, extension profiles and connecting profiles, the extension profiles having connecting edges formed in mirror image to one another on both opposing longitudinal edges and the connecting profiles in the connecting edges in a form-fitting manner of the extension profiles intervene.
- the aim is to be able to use the same components as possible for all designs.
- a rivetless sheet metal connection which consists of three parts, namely two clamping profiles for clamping the parts to be connected and a connecting profile which holds the clamping profiles together.
- the clamping profiles have elastic clamping legs that press the sheets against a rigid leg and protrude far beyond the sheet level.
- the connecting profile in turn protrudes beyond the clamping profiles.
- the invention has for its object to design a kit of the type mentioned in such a way that the connecting profiles can also be pushed transversely to their longitudinal direction, both sides of the frame wall should be flat.
- the basic profiles and extension profiles which have a closed surface on their front visible side and a connecting edge on their rear side, and between the respectively adjacent connecting edges on the inside of the frame there is a space which is transverse to one another to the longitudinal direction of the space insertable connecting profile can be bridged, the connecting profiles having a flat outer surface, which in the case of joined profiles lies in the same plane as the inner surface of the profiles connected to one another by the connecting profile and a groove which engages around connecting legs arranged on the connecting edges, which are at right angles are arranged to the outer surface of the frames and abut each other.
- connection between two adjacent profiles makes it possible first to produce complete frames, to lay these frames together and then to connect the frames to one another by sliding connecting profiles crosswise. Thanks to the flat walls on the connection profiles, even where there were gaps before the connection profiles were inserted, a flat wall surface is achieved.
- the presence of basic profiles with visible surfaces enables the production of frames without the aid of extension profiles or connecting profiles. It is a peculiarity of extruded profiles that the manufacturing tolerances must not be too tight, otherwise the tool life would be too short. With increasing Wear of the tool makes the profile walls thicker. Certain tolerances also have to be accepted with regard to straightness.
- the type of connection in the subject of the application takes this into account, since a connection profile with legs that can be pushed apart can also bridge larger deviations from the nominal size.
- both very narrow frames eg. B. for flat display cases, as well as frames with a multiple depth, z. B. for deep showcases to be glazed on both sides.
- the narrowest frame is obtained when only basic profiles are used.
- the narrowest frame which is suitable for double-sided glazing, is obtained by connecting two basic profiles using the connecting profile.
- a frame of the same depth is obtained when a basic profile is connected to an extension profile.
- extension profiles are used in any case, and thanks to the mirror-image design of the connecting edges, any number of extension profiles can be inserted.
- connection profiles can be achieved with locking strips, as mentioned in claim 2.

- the transverse insertion of connecting profiles in spite of the existence of locking strips according to claim 7 is possible if the connecting profiles have walls that can be bent apart elastically.
- the frame can be liquid-tight at the joints of the profiles, which is of particular interest if the object to be manufactured, for. B. a showcase to be set up outdoors.
- a rear wall holding profile which can serve as a supplement to the kit.
- a rear wall holding profile is, for. B. used if showcases to be glazed on one side only are to be produced.
- rear walls can be fastened quickly and reliably and tightly.
- Such rear wall holding profiles can also have locking strips (claim 8).
- sealing lips By molded on the rear wall holding profiles sealing lips (claim 9) you get a tight rear end of a box.
- An additional groove and an additional seal is achieved by an additional groove.
- Contact surfaces on the side of the groove according to claim 11 facilitate the pushing in of the rear wall holding profiles. Sealing lips on the overlapping leg according to claim 12 bring a further security against the ingress of moisture or dust.
- a rear wall according to claim 13 has a simple shape that allows easy manufacture of the rear wall and easy installation.
- a secure seal is achieved by a sealing arrangement according to claim 14.
- Screw channels according to claim 15 are advantageous for the production of corner connections at which the frame walls are connected to each other. Connecting screws can be screwed into these screw channels.

- the other profiles can be extruded according to claim 17.
- Aluminum is suitable as the material for the connection profiles as well as for the base profiles and the extension profiles, while the rear wall holding profiles are preferably made of plastic.
- the specification of these materials is not essential to the invention, but it can be stated as a general rule that the basic profiles and the expansion profiles advantageously consist of a material which has a high modulus of elasticity, so that these profiles are stiff, while the rear wall retaining profile its additional sealing function is advantageously made of an elastically resilient material. For reasons of strength, a relatively high rigidity is also desired for the connecting profile, which is why a corresponding material is used.
- the outer surfaces of the base profiles and the extension profiles are advantageously of the same width (claim 19). This is advantageous from an aesthetic point of view, since the outer surface of the frame is always composed of strips of the same width.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a kit for the production of frames for carcasses, in particular for carcasses of showcases and showcases, with basic profiles, extension profiles and connecting profiles, the extension profiles having connecting edges formed in mirror image to one another on both opposing longitudinal edges and the connecting profiles in the connecting edges in a form-fitting manner of the extension profiles intervene.
In many construction programs, the same bodies of different depths are required in their basic construction. This applies, for example, to showcases. So in addition to very flat showcases, e.g. B. for receiving a notice board for documents and the like flat objects, also showcases with greater depth are required, for. B. Showcases for the exhibition of three-dimensional objects of larger dimensions. The desired depth varies depending on the objects to be exhibited. Showcases to be attached to a wall are only glazed on one side, while free-standing display cases are usually glazed on both sides.
In order to enable boxes with different dimensions to be produced economically, the aim is to be able to use the same components as possible for all designs.
In the case of a known kit of the type mentioned at the outset, which is intended for cupboards, shelves or the like (DE-U-7 404 838), the extension profiles adjoin one another directly on their two outer sides. The connecting profiles can therefore only be inserted in the longitudinal direction of the profiles. This has the disadvantage that it is not possible to connect complete frames to one another. The outer profiles of the known kit must be provided with cover strips at their free edges in order to cover an existing groove there.
From US-A-3 391 481 a frame construction is also known, in which outer profiles are connected to a central profile in that the profiles are pushed into one another in their longitudinal direction. Connection profiles for establishing this connection are not available. The middle profile has a substantially U-shaped cross section and must be provided with a cover in order to obtain a continuous outer surface of the frame. A direct connection of the outer profiles to each other is not possible. Outer profiles and middle profiles can only be used together. If the known frame is to be widened, additional profiles must be used which neither resemble the central profile nor the outer profiles and which in turn can only be connected to the adjacent profiles by pushing one another in the longitudinal direction of the profile.
From FR-A-2283346 a rivetless sheet metal connection is known which consists of three parts, namely two clamping profiles for clamping the parts to be connected and a connecting profile which holds the clamping profiles together. The clamping profiles have elastic clamping legs that press the sheets against a rigid leg and protrude far beyond the sheet level. The connecting profile in turn protrudes beyond the clamping profiles. This combination of profiles is not suitable for the production of frames of different depths, since the profiles are not suitable for forming parts of the frame walls and there are no extension profiles that would allow the structural depth to be freely selected.
The invention has for its object to design a kit of the type mentioned in such a way that the connecting profiles can also be pushed transversely to their longitudinal direction, both sides of the frame wall should be flat.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the basic profiles and extension profiles, which have a closed surface on their front visible side and a connecting edge on their rear side, and between the respectively adjacent connecting edges on the inside of the frame there is a space which is transverse to one another to the longitudinal direction of the space insertable connecting profile can be bridged, the connecting profiles having a flat outer surface, which in the case of joined profiles lies in the same plane as the inner surface of the profiles connected to one another by the connecting profile and a groove which engages around connecting legs arranged on the connecting edges, which are at right angles are arranged to the outer surface of the frames and abut each other.
This formation of the connection between two adjacent profiles makes it possible first to produce complete frames, to lay these frames together and then to connect the frames to one another by sliding connecting profiles crosswise. Thanks to the flat walls on the connection profiles, even where there were gaps before the connection profiles were inserted, a flat wall surface is achieved. The presence of basic profiles with visible surfaces enables the production of frames without the aid of extension profiles or connecting profiles. It is a peculiarity of extruded profiles that the manufacturing tolerances must not be too tight, otherwise the tool life would be too short. With increasing Wear of the tool makes the profile walls thicker. Certain tolerances also have to be accepted with regard to straightness. The type of connection in the subject of the application takes this into account, since a connection profile with legs that can be pushed apart can also bridge larger deviations from the nominal size.
With a kit according to the invention, both very narrow frames, eg. B. for flat display cases, as well as frames with a multiple depth, z. B. for deep showcases to be glazed on both sides. The narrowest frame is obtained when only basic profiles are used. The narrowest frame, which is suitable for double-sided glazing, is obtained by connecting two basic profiles using the connecting profile. A frame of the same depth is obtained when a basic profile is connected to an extension profile. With larger frame depths, extension profiles are used in any case, and thanks to the mirror-image design of the connecting edges, any number of extension profiles can be inserted.
A particularly secure hold of the connection profiles can be achieved with locking strips, as mentioned in claim 2. An additional stapling is achieved by edge flanges on the connecting profiles according to
With a further development according to
In the
A rear wall according to
Screw channels according to
According to
The profiles are advantageously extruded hollow profiles, although the application of the inventive concept is not limited to this. The other profiles (connecting profiles and rear wall profiles) can be extruded according to
The outer surfaces of the base profiles and the extension profiles are advantageously of the same width (claim 19). This is advantageous from an aesthetic point of view, since the outer surface of the frame is always composed of strips of the same width.

This frame is made of two
The special kit shown in the drawing includes
The basic profiles are described using the example of the basic profile appearing on the left in Fig. 5. These are extruded hollow profiles with
A total of 26 designated profile wall runs parallel to the connecting
At the edge of the
The nature of the connection profiles 9 is described below with reference to FIG. 6. The connecting
The
The rear
At the back of the
The extension profiles 8 have at each of their edges a connecting edge which is of the same design as the connecting
The rear wall 11 has a large
The rear wall 11 is generally made of a metal sheet, preferably a galvanized steel sheet. The
Die Profile wirken wie folgt zusammen. The profiles work together as follows.
Both basic profiles can be linked together are connected (Fig. 5) and basic profiles are connected to extension profiles (Fig. 6, 7), and extension profiles are connected to each other. The connection structure is the same in all cases, since connection edges are mirror images of each other in each connection case and are connected to one another by a
When the connection is made, the connecting
Through this connection, the profiles to be connected to each other, for. B. two
The flat
A rear wall 11 is put on after completion of the frame, i. Since the basic profiles and the connecting profiles both have the same widths b, both frames look the same from the side. The frame according to FIG. 7 has a side view according to FIG. 3. Fig. 5 shows the cross section of a frame wall for a showcase, which can be viewed from both sides.
A frame wall can also consist of only one basic profile. This is possible, for example, for display cases that only contain a notice board. In this case, the box is closed at the rear by a rear wall, while a
