Definitions
- the invention relates to a sound unit for stick games, in particular for those which consist of sound units of any composition, each sound unit comprising a sound bar supported in its knot lines and a sound bar arranged below it, oriented parallel to it and adapted in length to the sound bar and with one is formed resonator body directed to the sound bar, the sound of which is tuned to the sound bar by appropriate dimensioning of the sound hole and / or openings located at other points of the sound box.
- Such sound units are known from DE-C-1 220 242 and US-A-1 369 268 and have also proven themselves in practice. Due to the characteristics peculiar to the resonance bodies, not only can the air columns enclosed in them be precisely matched to the respective pitch of the associated sound bar, but it is also achieved that several stick games, each composed of a larger number of tone units, are dense and thus more technical Regarding can be placed particularly advantageously one behind the other.
- the coordination of the individual sound units i. h.,
- the adaptation of the air column enclosed by the resonance body to the pitch of the respective sound bar is carried out by the manufacturer of the sound units under certain conditions, in particular in a given room climate, to ensure that the resonance volume of the resonance body only reinforces the basic tone of the relevant sound bar, the harmonics are suppressed.
- the different sound coloration of the sound bars used must also be taken into account, which can be seen from the use of different sound bar materials, e.g. B. of wood and metal.
- the advantage of such an embodiment lies in the fact that the resonance body only has to be treated in the prefabrication of the sound hole and / or the other openings in such a way that its resonance volume is close to the ideal resonance volume for the respective sound bar to be used, and then only , for example depending on the color of the sound bar to be used, needs to be optimized by fine adjustment.
- a disadvantage of the known design is also the peculiar, one-sided pivoting mounting of the panels. There is a risk that the diaphragms can pivot in an undesirable manner when side impacts are applied to the resonance housing and the fine-tuning is therefore lost. It cannot be permanently ensured that the individual clamping screws, which also serve as the pivot axis, always remain sufficiently tightened to prevent the panels from pivoting. In addition, the fine-tuning is made more difficult by the asymmetrical shape of the sound hole that results when the diaphragms are pivoted.
- the invention has for its object to design sound units of the generic type for stick games so that not only their simple fine-tuning under test conditions is made possible, but rather a problem-free re-tuning under normal conditions can also be carried out at any time. At the same time, however, the aim is to ensure that the fine-tuning that is carried out is permanently retained.
- the identification features of claim 1 serve primarily to solve this problem.
- the adjusting and locking elements for the diaphragm can be arranged and designed so that they are easily accessible even when the sound bars are properly held on the resonance body, i.e. with fully functional sound units, and thus in an optimal manner both under test conditions and Ensure fine tuning even under normal conditions, with the symmetrical outline of the sound hole being retained with every slide setting.
- FR-A-2 094 347 has disclosed a bell, ringing or other sounding warning device with resonance bodies, in which the size of the openings in the resonance bodies can be changed. Provision is also made to influence the size of the openings in the resonance bodies by means of adjustable slides.
- a particularly simple adjustability of the orifices determining the resonance volume of the resonance body is ensured according to the invention by the feature of claim 3. Even if the tone units are set up very densely and thus particularly advantageous from a technical point of view in the case of stick games composed of a large number of tone units, the diaphragm can be easily re-adjusted for fine tuning.
- a sound unit 1 is shown as it is used for stick games, in particular for stick games, which consist of sound units that can be assembled as desired.
- This sound unit 1 consists of a resonance body 2, rod supports 3 sitting thereon and a sound rod 4 carried by them.
- the rod supports 3 are arranged on the resonance body 2 in such a way that they support each sound rod 4 in the region of its two node lines.
- the sound bars 4 and the resonance bodies 2 almost match in terms of their structural length, as is indicated in FIG. 1.
- the resonance bodies 2 In their wall facing the sound bar 4, the resonance bodies 2 each have a sound hole 5, which can be formed, for example, by milling.
- the resonance volume of the resonance body 2 is matched to the respective sound bar 4 so that the air column enclosed in it with regard to its vibratory capacity exactly the vibratory capacity of the assigned sound bar 4 is adapted. This ensures that only the fundamental tone is amplified when the sound bar 4 is struck, but the harmonics are suppressed.
- the sound hole 5 in the resonance body 2 is oversized, i. that is, it is generally dimensioned larger than is necessary for creating the ideal resonance volume within the resonance body 2.
- the resonance volume of the resonance body 2 is thus smaller than would be necessary for the ideal cooperation with the sound bar 4.
- the sound hole 5 is assigned at least one adjustable diaphragm 6, which consists of a slide arranged above the sound hole 5 on the resonance body 2.
- the slide diaphragm 6 runs in the longitudinal direction of the resonance body 2 in guides 7 'and 7 "and carries a nut 8 into one Adjusting spindle 9 engages with its thread 10, which on the other hand is rotatable in a fixed bearing 11 of the resonance body 2.
- a handwheel 12 is used to actuate the adjusting spindle 9 in such a way that the slide diaphragm 6 can be shifted continuously above the sound hole 5 and thus enables the exact fine adjustment of the resonance volume in the resonance body 2.
- leaf springs 13 are accommodated therein, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 3. These leaf springs 13 always press the slide 6 tightly onto the top of the sound hole 5 wall of the resonance body 2.
- the slide diaphragm 6 is provided with an indentation 14, the shape of which is coordinated with the sound hole 5, so that the basic outline shape of the sound hole 5 always remains the same with every possible adjustment of the slide diaphragm 6.
- the slide diaphragm 6 can also be guided and held in an adjustable manner in the region of the sound hole 5 in a much simpler manner. It is only necessary to provide the slide diaphragm 6 with longitudinal slots 15 which are penetrated by clamping and guide screws 16 seated in the resonance body 2. When the clamping and guide screws 16 are loosened, the slide diaphragm 6 can be moved if necessary in order to change the size of the sound hole 5. Once the correct setting has been reached, only the clamping and guide screws 16 need to be tightened again.
- the slide diaphragm 6 is equipped with a pointer organ 17 and to assign a fixed scale 18 to the resonance body.
- the scale 18 is expediently attached to the resonance body 2 with the zero position relative to the pointer element 17 after the slide diaphragm 6 has been set by the manufacturer under test conditions so that the resonance body 2 has the ideal resonance volume relative to the associated sound bar 4.
- the resonance body 2 with additional openings in addition to the sound hole 5, specifically in other walls. These openings could then have the oversizing and be equipped with an adjustable diaphragm, which then serves as a fine tuning element for the resonance body 2.

Description
The invention relates to a sound unit for stick games, in particular for those which consist of sound units of any composition, each sound unit comprising a sound bar supported in its knot lines and a sound bar arranged below it, oriented parallel to it and adapted in length to the sound bar and with one is formed resonator body directed to the sound bar, the sound of which is tuned to the sound bar by appropriate dimensioning of the sound hole and / or openings located at other points of the sound box.
Such sound units are known from DE-C-1 220 242 and US-A-1 369 268 and have also proven themselves in practice.
The coordination of the individual sound units, i. h., The adaptation of the air column enclosed by the resonance body to the pitch of the respective sound bar is carried out by the manufacturer of the sound units under certain conditions, in particular in a given room climate, to ensure that the resonance volume of the resonance body only reinforces the basic tone of the relevant sound bar, the harmonics are suppressed. With this coordination, the different sound coloration of the sound bars used must also be taken into account, which can be seen from the use of different sound bar materials, e.g. B. of wood and metal. In practice, however, it has been shown that the tuning accuracy of the individual tone units achieved under test conditions at the manufacturer is not permanently retained in practical use, because the normal conditions, in which the stick games are used, change constantly and in particular the ambient temperature and the humidity constantly to change. Due to these changing conditions, it can therefore happen relatively easily that the sound purity of the sound units produced under test conditions is lost - at least temporarily - because the resonance bodies not only amplify the fundamental tone of the respective sound bar, but also harmonics of the same.
According to US Pat. No. 1,369,268, the inadequacies which are known in these known sound units for stick games can be avoided by the sound hole being oversized and having at least one adjustable and lockable diaphragm assigned to it as a fine tuning element.
The advantage of such an embodiment lies in the fact that the resonance body only has to be treated in the prefabrication of the sound hole and / or the other openings in such a way that its resonance volume is close to the ideal resonance volume for the respective sound bar to be used, and then only , for example depending on the color of the sound bar to be used, needs to be optimized by fine adjustment.
The fine tuning of the individual resonator compartments in the resonance housing under test conditions is facilitated by the configuration according to US Pat. No. 1,369,268. However, the re-tuning of the individual resonator compartments under normal conditions is considerably more difficult because the adjustable diaphragms are so underneath the sound bars and are clamped that the free access necessary for fine tuning is not readily available. If the user wants to adjust the diaphragms for fine tuning under normal conditions, it is necessary to either remove the individual bars entirely or to make them relocatable with the aid of elastic holding members so that the diaphragms are temporarily accessible.
A disadvantage of the known design is also the peculiar, one-sided pivoting mounting of the panels.
The invention has for its object to design sound units of the generic type for stick games so that not only their simple fine-tuning under test conditions is made possible, but rather a problem-free re-tuning under normal conditions can also be carried out at any time. At the same time, however, the aim is to ensure that the fine-tuning that is carried out is permanently retained.
Der Lösung dieser Aufgabe dienen in erster Linie die Kennzeichnungsmerkmale des Anspruchs 1.The identification features of claim 1 serve primarily to solve this problem.
From the application of these measures There is the advantage that the adjusting and locking elements for the diaphragm can be arranged and designed so that they are easily accessible even when the sound bars are properly held on the resonance body, i.e. with fully functional sound units, and thus in an optimal manner both under test conditions and Ensure fine tuning even under normal conditions, with the symmetrical outline of the sound hole being retained with every slide setting.
Dabei ist auch vorgesehen, die Größe der Öffnungen in den Resonanzkörpern durch verstellbare Schieber zu beeinflussen.FR-A-2 094 347 has disclosed a bell, ringing or other sounding warning device with resonance bodies, in which the size of the openings in the resonance bodies can be changed. Provision is also made to influence the size of the openings in the resonance bodies by means of adjustable slides.
Apart from the fact that these sounding warning devices are not about adjusting the resonance volume of the resonance body to the pitch of a sound bar, but only about achieving a change in volume, no precautions are taken here that require precise adjustment and permanent, secure position fixation the slide to the openings of the sound box ensures. The arrangement according to FR-A-2 094 347 also gives no suggestion of how to design a sound unit for stick games in such a way that on the one hand the bars are freely accessible, but on the other hand the diaphragms provided for fine tuning in the area of the sound holes are always easy and safe can be influenced.
According to the invention, it has also proven to be expedient to take the measures of
A particularly simple adjustability of the orifices determining the resonance volume of the resonance body is ensured according to the invention by the feature of
In some cases, however, it is also sufficient if the feature of claim 4 is used.
In all cases, however, it proves to be particularly recommended to use the feature according to

In Fig. 1 of the drawing, a sound unit 1 is shown as it is used for stick games, in particular for stick games, which consist of sound units that can be assembled as desired. This sound unit 1 consists of a
In a conventional manner, the rod supports 3 are arranged on the
Appropriately, the sound bars 4 and the
In their wall facing the sound bar 4, the
Due to the size of the sound hole 4 facing sound hole and possibly also at other locations in the walls of the
According to FIG. 1, the
However, in order to enable an exact fine tuning of the
It should also be mentioned that the
From Fig. 4 it can also be seen that the
So that the setting of the
If readjustments under operating conditions become necessary, it can then be determined at any time to what extent and in which direction a different position of the slide diaphragm with respect to the original position is required.
Deviating from the embodiments shown in the drawing, it is also possible to provide the
