Abstract

1. Apparatus for adjusting a pivotal portion (5) of a bed frame, having support arms (1) on both sides, which are pivotally connected between the bed frame portion (5) and bed frame side portions (7) and which comprise two parts which can be telescopically pushed one into the other, of which one support arm part is formed as a guide rail (2) having at least two detent receiving means (8) with which there co-operates a detent lever (10) which is pivoted to the other support arm part (3) which is longitudinally movable in the guide rail, characterised in that the detent receiving means (8) are of an angular configuration and are arranged in succession in a fishbone-like arrangement on an inside wall, which is to be arranged vertically, of the guide rail (2), and arranged in front of the first detent receiving means which can be reached by the detent means (9) of the detent lever (10) is a deflection element (13) which, after the detent lever has passed, in the inward movement of the support arm part (3) which is longitudinally movable in the guide rail, leads the detent lever to the detent receiving means again upon renewed extension movement.
