Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Entwässern extrahierter Zuc­ kerrübenschnitzel, die miteiner die Entwässerung fördernden Flüssigkeit beaufschlagt werden und nacheinander verschie­ dene Preßzonen durchlaufen, in denen Preßwasser abge­ preßt wird, wird vorgeschlagen, die die Entwässerung för­ dernde Flüssigkeit erst nach einer ersten Vorpressung zuzu­ führen und anschließend die mit dieser Flüssigkeit vermeng­ ten Zuckerrübenschnitzel ohne Abpressen von Preßwasser zu mischen, kneten und umzuschichten, worauf dann die Zuc­ kerrübenschnitzel zumindest eine weitere Preßzone durchlau­ fen. Eine hierfür geeignete Rübenschnitzelpresse mit zumin­ dest zwei innerhalb eines Siebmantels umlaufenden Preßspindeln, die mit Schneckengängen versehen sind, deren Steigung mit zunehmender Entfernung von dem im Bereich des einen Endes der Spindel angeordneten Preßgut-­ Einfall abnimmt, weist in axialer Richtung gesehen zwischen einer so ausgebildeten Vorpreßzone und Nachpreßzone eine Misch-, Knet- und Umschicht-zone auf, die an ihrem Anfang einen in den Preßraum mündenden Zulauf für eine die Ent­ wässerung fördernde Flüssigkeit aufweist und in deren Bereich der Siebmantel durch einen geschlossenen Mantel ersetzt und die Schneckengänge im Querschnitt polygonartig ausgebildet sind.
