Description

The invention relates to an actuating device according to the first part of claim 1. Such an actuating device is known from DE-B-12 06 685. The leaf spring carries a double closing body at its free end, which works together with two valve seats facing each other. Furthermore, electrical snap switches are known in which the leaf spring carries at its free end a contact which is opposite a fixed counter contact.

The object of the invention is to provide an actuating device which can be used both for electrical and for pneumatic switching elements and which can exert higher actuating forces than the known actuating device mentioned at the outset without additional equipment. This object is achieved by the invention characterized in claim 1. In a departure from the prior art, it is not the leaf spring that is used here, but rather the dead center spring that serves as part of it and causes the snap movement to generate the actuating force. As a result, greater actuation forces can be applied using the known snap spring elements produced in large numbers and thus reliably actuate both electrical and pneumatic switching elements. Advantageous developments of the invention result from the subclaims.

The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows
  • Fig. 1 shows a section through such an actuator parallel to the leaf spring and
  • Fig. 2 is an orthogonal section at the line II-II.

In a housing 1, a leaf spring 2 is clamped on one side, for example with its fastening end 3 riveted to a housing shoulder 5 with the aid of a rivet 4. It is a three-leg leaf spring of known design, the middle leg 6 is shortened and inserted under pretension in a notch 7 of a bracket 8 also held on the housing shoulder 5 by means of the rivet 4. This arcuately curved dead center spring stands opposite the switching element to be actuated, which in the present case is a two-armed rocker 9 which carries a closing body 12 and 13 on each of the two lever arms 10 and 11. The two closing bodies each face a valve seat 14 or 15 and thus either close one or the other passage.

In the rest position shown, the leaf spring 2 rests with its free end on the bracket 8, which determines its upper limit position. As soon as the actuating slide 16 guided in two lateral rails 23 presses the side legs 24 of the leaf spring 2 down and this passes through the dead center position, it suddenly jumps down, driven by the force of the middle leg 6 of the dead center spring rocker 9 pivotable about a housing-fixed axis 19, so that valve 13, 15 is now closed and the other valve 12, 14 is opened. A contact 20 provided at the free end 17 of the leaf spring 2 remains unused in the present application. However, it can cooperate with a mating contact provided on a housing shoulder 21 or can be replaced by a rubber stopper to dampen the switching movement.

As soon as a plunger acting on the operating slide 16, e.g. a temperature sensor, again goes up, the leaf spring jumps up after passing through the dead center position, the rocker 9 snapping into the starting position shown in the drawing under the force of a return spring 22.
