Arbeitskontakte am Mitnehmer oder Schaltrad angeordnet sind und mit demselben Kontaktring am Gehäusesockel wie die Kontaktköpfe der beiden über Kreuz angeordneten Kontaktarme zusammenarbeiten.

Claims (7)

1. A combined spark or glow ignition and selector switch for motor vehicles, for independently switching, without voltage or current, to several different consumers, with a rotary actuator equipped with two spring-loaded contact arms, each of which passes through the axis of rotation of the rotary actuator and has a contact head and a terminal cam-follower which follows its own cam-track, characterised in that the two contact arms (22, 23), which sweep their contacts in the same plane and which cross each other at the axis of rotation (9) of the rotary actuator (5), are oppositely U-wise cranked and hence spaced apart at this location and in that the contact heads (22c, 23c) are spaced radially away from the axis of rotation (9) and cooperate with at least one contact ring (10), which is concentric to the axis of rotation (9).
2. A switch as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that between the contact arms (22, 23) there are holding contacts (26, 27) which operate in conjunction with the contact heads (22c, 23c) and are lifted from the contact ring (10) by extra cam-tracks (28).
3. A switch as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that the holding contacts (26, 27) are spring loaded or are made of a resilient material.
4. A switch as claimed in Claims 2 or 3, characterised in that the extra cam-tracks (28) for the holding contacts (26, 27) are arranged concentrically around the axis of rotation (9), between the contact ring (10) and the consumer contacts (11,12,13,14,15).
5. A switch as claimed in Claim 4, characterised in that the holding contacts (26, 27) travel on the contact material (10a) of the contact ring (10), or travel on paths radially adjacent to the contact ring (10).
6. A switch as claimed in one of the Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the socket portion (1), or the cover portion (3) of the switch housing, has at least two notched tracks (20, 21) cooperating with at least one spring-loaded pin of the rotary actuator (5), for retaining the rotary actuator (5) in the desired switching position.
7. A switch as claimed in one of the Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the rotary actuator (5) has at least two notched tracks (20, 21), the socket portion (1), or the cover portion (3) of the switch housing having at least one spring-loaded pin (18, 19), for retaining the rotary actuator (5) in the desired switching position.
