Abstract

Ski safety bindings offer sufficient safety against any triggering error when they have a sufficiently large reserve of return force. To determine the reserve of the restoring force, the ski boot is pulled, repeatedly and each time for a constant time interval, by the intermediary of a tightening bolt, and this with a constant stroke length. In the event that the ski boot cannot return for a constant time interval to its initial position against a determined resistance force, this is a sign that the reserve of the return force is too small, because the residual strokes, after each solicitation, are added up until the moment when they cause an untimely tripping.

Description

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zur Prüfung des Rückstellvermögens von z.B. auf Skiern montierten Sicherheits-SkibindungenMethod and device for testing the resilience of e.g. Safety ski bindings mounted on skis
There are devices for testing and / or demonstrating the setting of e.g. Safety ski bindings mounted on skis are known in various versions via a ski boot held in the ski binding. In these devices, the resistance of the individual binding parts to be released is determined during the release process. In general, the maximum triggering force can be read on a manometer with the aid of a drag pointer. It is also possible to exert large, briefly shock-like forces on the binding, as occur in practice.
A particularly informative criterion for the assessment of safety ski bindings is the size of their resilience. However, this cannot be checked with the devices on the market.
The purpose of the present invention is therefore to create a method for testing the resilience of, for example, safety ski bindings mounted on skis, via a ski boot held in the ski binding. The method according to the invention consists in that the ski boot is moved at constant time intervals over a constant path length in the triggering direction and in each case in a constant intermediate time counter to the triggering direction.
Starting from a device in which a push pin or the like is movably mounted in a support body in the triggering direction for triggering the load on the ski boot, it is proposed to carry out the method according to the invention that for the push pin a displacement sensor is provided which moves in the triggering direction and which under the influence of a it is on and off clock, and that a resistor is built in, which counteracts the resetting of the pressure pin when the displacement sensor is switched off.
After attaching a ski with a safety ski binding in the device and after inserting a ski boot into the binding, the device is ready for operation and can be switched on. When the watch is switched on, the displacement sensor is also switched on, which now moves the pressure bolt in the release direction over a constant path length and moves the ski boot against the resistance of the binding part. After the specified constant path length has elapsed, the position sensor switches off and at the same time the resistance that counteracts the resetting of the pressure pin. The spring force stored during the release movement of the binding part now causes the binding part to be moved back while taking the ski boot with it, which acts against the pressure bolt. This takes place within the constant meantime. After this time, the clock switches the encoder on again. The backward ability of the safety ski binding is sufficiently large if the releasing binding part returns to its starting position within the above-mentioned interval, on the basis of a resistance that has been proven to be correct from practice. If, on the other hand, this is not the case, the remaining travel lengths for each impact add up, which ultimately leads to the release of the binding, which in this case is to be regarded as a false release.
