Description
The invention relates to a method for producing sample sheets of steel, such as corrugated or magnifying sheets.
A device for producing a sample sheet with a basic thickness of 2 mm and a sample height of 2.5 mm is known from GB-A-4393 - A.D. 1893. For rolling sample sheets of this type, narrow roll stands are provided, with which only very narrow sample sheets could be produced.
Nowadays, sample sheets are manufactured by hot-rolling broadband on broadband lines to enable large widths to be produced, although it has hitherto been difficult or an unsolved problem to produce sample sheets with the dimensions described at the outset, since surface defects and unevenness in the pattern height, hardening occurred and unwanted markings, so-called “stretch marks”. The appearance of rough edges, warts and the like. Like. observed. It has therefore started to keep the basic thickness of the sheet relatively large compared to the sample height. The ratio of the basic thickness to the sample height is usually at least 3: 1, whereby the minimum basic thickness is 3 mm. Such sample sheets have a relatively high weight and are therefore as clothing elements, for. B. for trucks, have not previously been used. In the production of such sample sheets, a sample roller as an upper roller with a cut pattern is installed in the last stand of the broadband mill. The rolling of these sample sheets has hitherto been carried out dry, i. H. without using a lubricant.
The invention has for its object to provide a method of the type described above for the production of sample sheets, light weight on a broadband line, in which the difficulties and disadvantages previously encountered, such as. B. "stretch marks" and other surface defects can be avoided.
This object is achieved in that the pattern is rolled into the sheet with lubrication.
A mixture of lubricating oil, water and steam is advantageously used as the lubricant.
The method is preferably carried out in such a way that the pattern roll used as the top roll in the last roll stand of the broadband mill is directly lubricated, in particular by spraying the lubricant onto the pattern roll surface.
The lubrication of work rolls in a broadband line by indirect supply of the lubricant is known per se ("Stahl und Eisen", 92 [1972], No. 22, page 1115). This measure has been proposed for the first stands in order to avoid secondary rolling in; however, this measure has hardly proven itself because the supply of the lubricant when tapping the tape caused difficulties in gripping the tape. With the lubrication according to the invention there is no such risk, since the pattern on the pattern roll ensures that the tape is tapped properly even when lubricated.
The sheet produced according to the invention is explained in more detail in the drawing, with FIGS. 1 and 1a illustrating a corrugated sheet and FIGS. And 2a illustrating a magnifying sheet, each in plan view and in section.
Die Grunddicke des Bleches ist mit b bezeichnet; b zu a stehen in dem oben angegebenen Verhältnis, u. zw. 1,3 : 1.1 and 1a a sample sheet with diamond-like elevations can be seen, the height (sample height) of which is denoted by a. The basic thickness of the sheet is designated by b; b to a are in the ratio given above, u. between 1.3: 1.
Auch hier wird das Verhältnis b zu a = 1,3 : 1 eingehaltenIn the same way, a magnifying glass sheet with magnifying glass elevations is shown in FIGS. And 2a, the magnifying glass height being designated a and the basic thickness being designated b. The ratio b to a = 1.3: 1 is also observed here
