Description

The invention relates to an electrical connection strip of a printed circuit board consisting of a support and a row of terminal blocks, the blocks being mounted side by side on said support and being provided for receiving by their upper faces. contacts projecting from an edge of a printed circuit board, and having external connection terminals on at least one lateral face, which is parallel to the axis of the strip.

A terminal block thus normally comprises terminals connected to an input circuit, terminals connected to an output circuit and terminals for connection to a printed circuit board. However, it is advantageous, when performing an installation, to be able to have standard terminal blocks allowing the immediate adaptation or replacement of the logic constituted by a printed circuit board, independently of the wiring of the input and output information. , and also independently of the wiring of the supply voltages specific to the circuits constituting a logic. On the other hand, this adaptation or modification should be able to be carried out independently within a connection strip constituted by a stacking side by side of identical or associable terminal blocks, without having to modify the wiring or the mounting of adjacent elements.

However, it is known to produce blocks for terminal strip which include printed circuits as shown in publication FR-A-2 164003. In this case, a printed circuit board is fixed so that its plane includes the axis of the bar. If such a solution is possible for cards with many connections, it has the disadvantage of occupying a long length of the bar, while a different arrangement could avoid such a disadvantage.

The publication FRA2 358 757 describes a terminal block for a terminal block with removable elements, suitable for being connected to a distribution bar, which therefore makes it possible to supply various elements from the same bar. However, the embodiment presented does not lend itself to the use of blocks comprising printed circuit boards for which it is not intended.

To meet the needs mentioned above, the present invention therefore provides a connection strip and a terminal block with printed circuit board intended for this strip, not having the faults mentioned above.

According to the invention, an electrical connection strip consisting of a support and a row of terminal blocks, the blocks being mounted side by side on said support and being designed to receive by their upper faces contacts projecting from of an edge of a printed circuit board, and having external connection terminals on at least one lateral face, which is parallel to the axis of the strip, is characterized in that the blocks are designed to receive the cards transversely to the axis of the bar and in that said upper face of each block comprises insulating supports receiving common electrical bars which are arranged parallel to the axis of the bar and facing a first group of said contacts which are in the form of lyres, said bars supplying the supply voltages to the cards via the contacts of the first group, contact pads connected to said connection terminals exterior being provided opposite a second group of said contacts also in the form of lyres.

A block of such a bar is preferably characterized in that the insulating supports consist of two parallel rows of teeth forming notches for the insertion of common electrical bars, said rows delimiting between them a free space for the ranges of contact on bars and studs.

With regard to certain characteristics of a preferred implementation of the invention, express reference is made to claims 3 to 6.

The invention will be described below using an embodiment illustrated in the drawings.
  • Figure 1 is an overall perspective view of a terminal block according to the invention.
  • Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view of the terminal block according to Figure 1, without protective cover.
  • Figure 3 is a view of the transverse face of the terminal block according to Figure 1, with semi-section, without mounting foot, or support.
  • FIG. 4 is an enlarged view in longitudinal section on IV-IV of the terminal block according to FIG. 3.

In the figures, 1 denotes the assembly of a junction block base comprising a base 2 and a cover 3 made of insulating plastic material.

The base 2 has at its base a removable fixing foot 11 mounted on a support profile 12. Such a fixing foot is for example identical to that described in the publication FR-A-2 133 277. It is thus possible to have side side by side along the support profile, a set of terminal blocks for producing a connection strip not shown in the figures. Another way of attaching terminal blocks could be obtained by means of fixing screws arranged in recesses 13 on one side of the base and bolted through a support plate according to a process widely used in this technique.

The base 2 has, on the front side and on the rear side, on its upper face, two transverse notches 20 separating between them three bands 21 against which are applied connecting bars such as 41, 42, 43 each connecting a terminal 4 of external connection to an internal contact pad 40. Each terminal 4, only one of which is shown in FIG. 2, is constituted by a clamping screw clamp 44. The connecting bars 41, 42 and 43 are counter-bent so that that the contact pads are arranged vertically and in the same transverse alignment with a given spacing.

On the other hand, the connecting bars are held in place by a plate 45 having wings 46 engaged in the notches 20 and constituting insulation separators between the bars.

The base 2 also has on its front and rear ends nozzles 23 intended to cooperate with a rib 31 disposed at the lower part of the cap 3 to produce an elastic hooking of the cap on the base.

The cover 3 has on one of its sides openings 14 and 15 intended to allow the establishment of the devices for fixing the base 2 on its support.

To allow access to the front and rear terminals 4, the cover 3 has openings 30 on its front and rear faces and on its upper face openings 32. In its central part, the upper face of the cover 3 constitutes and on the other side of a free space 33 visible in FIGS. 2 and 4, insulating supports 34 formed by a succession of teeth 35 between which electrical bars are inserted longitudinally 5. At the ends of the insulating supports 34 the upper face of the cap 3 comprises, in line with the intervals between two facing teeth 35 and in the free space 33, longitudinal slots 36 visible in FIG. 2 thanks to a tear-off of dehts 35 and allowing the passage of the contact pads 40, the spacing corresponds to that of the teeth.

The interval 33 thus lets appear between the two rows of teeth of the insulating supports 34 a contact area of the bars 5, on the one hand, and of the studs 40, on the other hand.

Between the ends of the insulating supports 34 and the openings 32, the upper face of the cover 3 has two shoulders 37 each comprising a vertical slide 38 intended to cooperate with a guide finger 61 disposed at the bottom of an insulating frame 6. The front and rear faces of the chassis 6 have a lower spout 62 intended for locking the chassis 6 on the cover 3 using a spring 47, the ends of which are engaged in holes 39 on the sides of the shoulder 37.

The chassis 6 has at its lower part a comb formed by a series of teeth 63, the pitch of which corresponds to that of the spacings of the bars 5 and of the contact pads 40, the teeth being intended to be inserted into these spacings in space. 33.

The body of the chassis 6 has on one of its sides a series of cells each formed by a lateral opening 64 opening onto a vertical lumen 65 opening into the gap formed between two successive teeth 63.

Lorsque les dents 63 du châssis 6 sont embrochées dans l'espace 33 dans les espacements entre les barres 5 et les plots 40, les lyres de contact 9 viennent pincer les plages de contact apparentes des barres 5 et des plots 40.Contact lyres 9, provided on one face with an upper pin 91 and a lower pin 92, and on the opposite face with a lug 93, are inserted through the openings 64 and the slots 65 so that the lower pins 92 rest against the lower part of the openings 64 and that the lugs 93 are locked by elastic deformation of the parts present against a shoulder 66 of the slots 64. When the teeth 63 of the chassis 6 are plugged into space 33 in spacings between the bars 5 and the pads 40, the contact lyres 9 pinch the apparent contact pads of the bars 5 and the pads 40.

Furthermore, the chassis 6 has at its upper part, on the side comprising the pins 91 and 92, pins 60 intended to cooperate in the orifices 70 of a printed circuit board 7 to allow the card 7 to snap against the chassis 6, while the pins 91 and 92 penetrate into contact cells 71 and 72 with the printed circuit. The fixing of the card 7 on the chassis 6 can be completed by screwing screws 78 into a tapping of the pins 60. Thus, when the card 7 is fixed on the chassis 6, it is possible by simple insertion or removal operation. of the chassis on the cover 3 of the base 2 of plugging in or removing the contact lyres 9 secured to this card at its lower part.

In addition, the insulating cover 8 can be slipped onto the upper part of the card 7 and secured to the chassis 6. To this end, the chassis 6 has on its front and rear faces a spout 66 capable of cooperating with a notch 80 of the front and back of the hood.

The upper face of the cover has openings 81 and 82 allowing access to control and command means of the printed circuit consisting, for example, of light-emitting diodes 73, adjustable resistors 74 and terminals 76 of the printed circuit, said means being arranged on the upper part of the card 7. Ventilation openings 83 are formed on the other hand on the front and rear faces of the card 7.
