Claims (7)

1. Apparatus for the emplacement and retrieval of the deck elements (5) of an amusement ride transportable on a trailer comprising a base element connected to the trailer forming the base portion of the trackway deck (1) with, at the front ends of said base element two vertical wall elements forming in-general the lower portion of the vertical posts supporting the amusement ride roofing, perpendicular beams (9) being disposed laterally from the base portion of the deck (1) for supporting the deck elements (5), characterized in that it comprises on the inner face of each vertical wall element which is at the ends of the base element of deck (1) one or several support elements (3), the deck elements (5) comprising, at each of their ends and in the vicinity of the edge which is to be the most remote from the base portion of deck (1), at least one means (7) for co-acting with the above mentioned support element (3) for suspending vertically with the assistance of said means (7) the deck elements (5) to the support elements (3), a lifting and swinging means pivotally mounted about an axis (12) parallel to the longitudinal edge of the base element of deck (1), said means being adapted for catching a deck element (5) suspended to the support elements (3), disengaging it therefrom, swinging it and bringing it above the plane of the deck beams (9), pushing it onto said beams and retrieving the deck elements (5) onto the support elements through a reverse action.

Apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the support elements are lateral and formed by rolling tracks (3) sloping to the side where the deck elements (5) have to be emplaced, the means foreseen at each end of the deck element (5) for co-acting with said support elements being a roller (7), the rolling tracks (3) comprising an abutment (4) at their lower end.

Apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the lifting and swinging means of the deck elements (5) is formed by two slideways (assembly 17, 17') pivoted at the ends of the central element of deck (1) and adapted for being swung about said axis (12) by a control jack (13), whereby two carriages (19) can slide along each of said slideways (assembly 17, 17'), each carriage (19) carrying a catching. means (21) of a deck element (5) through cooperation with a complementary means (8) provided on said deck element (5) and a means (23) for sliding the two carriages (19).
4. Apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the means for sliding each carriage (19) is formed by a jack (13) housed inside the base (17) of each slideway.
5. Apparatus according to one of claims 3 and 4, wherein the length of the stroke of each carriage (19) in each slideway (assembly 17, 17') is at least equal to the width of a deck element (5).

Apparatus according to one of claims 3 to 5, wherein the slideways (assembly 17 and 17') are connected by a rail member (11) situated on the same side of the trailer and pivoted about the same articulation axis (12), said member (11) being swung by the same control jacks (13) pivoted at their other end on the support frame (2) of the central portion of deck (1).
7. Apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the beams (9) and the rail member (11) on which bear the deck elements (5) during their displacement comprise at their upper portion antifriction means such as rollers (16).
