Katseseade materjalide abrasiivkulumise uurimiseks reguleeritava löögienergia ja inertsiga on moodustatud löögi tekitamise mehhanismist, pendelsüsteemist ja koormamissõlmest inertsi tekitamiseks, ja abrasiivhõõrdumise tekitamise mehhanismist. Löögi tekitamise mehhanism on moodustatud vardast, mille otsa on kinnitatud kinnitusplaat koos katsekehaga, ja löögigeneraatorist kinnitusplaadile löögi andmiseks ja katsekeha surumiseks vastu platvormile kinnitatud pöörlevat ratast. Abrasiivhõõrdumise tekitamiseks katsekeha ja ratta vahel juhitakse nende vahele abrasiivmaterjal.
