En la presente se proporcionan los polipéptidos y derivados de estos que contienen secuencias de una proteína Serrate y que inhiben la función de la vía de Notch. También se proporcionan en la presente los ácidos nucleicos que codifican los polipéptidos, vectores y células para producir los polipéptidos, y las composiciones farmacéuticas y kits relacionados. Además se proporcionan los anticuerpos que se unen a la región de inhibición de Notch de una proteína Serrate. También se proporcionan métodos terapéuticos.
