Abstract

Un sistema de medida de posición de casco para uso en un ambiente predefinido. El sistema incluye un sistema de iluminación montado en el casco para dirigir radiación electromagnética de una o más longitudes de onda desde el casco en uno o más rangos de ángulos, un conjunto de tres o más reflectores pasivos desplegados en posiciones fijas en el ambiente predefinido para reflejar radiación electromagnética del sistema de iluminación, un sistema de registro de imagen montado en el casco sensitivo a la una o más de las longitudes de onda para obtener imágenes de parte del ambiente predefinido incluyendo radiación electromagnética reflejada desde los reflectores, y un sistema de procesamiento asociado con el sistema de registro de imagen para procesar las imágenes para identificar regiones de las imágenes correspondientes a los reflectores y a partir de esto determinar información relacionada con una posición del casco dentro del ambiente predefinido.
