Abstract

The compositions find use in cleaving or modifying a target sequence of interest, visualizing a target sequence of interest, and modifying the expression of a sequence of interest. The compositions include RNA guided nuclease polypeptides, CRISPR RNAs, CRISPR transactivating RNAs, guiding RNAs, and nucleic acid molecules encoding them. Also provided are vectors and host cells containing nucleic acid molecules. In addition, CRISPR systems are provided for binding a target sequence of interest, the CRISPR system comprising a guided RNA nuclease polypeptide and one or more guiding RNAs.
