Соединения, описанные в настоящей заявке, демонстрируют активность в качестве пестицидов и подходят для применения, например, в способах борьбы с патогенными грибами и заболеваниями, вызываемыми патогенными грибами, в растениях. The compounds described in this application show activity as pesticides and are suitable for use, for example, in methods of controlling pathogenic fungi and diseases caused by pathogenic fungi in plants. A preferred method is directed to the preparation of a compound of formula V-1 or V-2 enriched in one stereoisomer by asymmetric reduction in the presence of a chiral organometallic catalyst.
