Устройство позволяет значительно уменьшить температуру в верхней части регенератора. Альтернативно можно выбрать увеличение мощности горелки и, следовательно, производительности, все еще сохраняя ту же самую температуру на уровне регенератора, рекуперирующего дымовые газы горелки.
