Abstract

An electrochemical device comprising a body and a package of electrochemical cells in a body within a body. Each electrochemical cell contains an anode, a cathode, a spacer located between the anode and cathode, and an electrolyte. The electrochemical device also contains a current collector located between adjacent electrochemical cells, an anode bus that is functionally connected to the anodes of the electrochemical cells in the battery, and a cathode bus that is functionally connected to the cathodes of the electrochemical cells in the battery. The body, anode, cathode, separator, anode busbar and cathode busbar are non-metallic.
