На транспортном средстве 1 (фиг. 9) установлен кузов-контейнер переменного объема 2, который имеет несущее основание, крышу, торцевые стенки, подвижные боковые стенки 4 на шарнирах и днище с пеналами, в которых расположены опорные балки вместе с опорными длинными и короткими стойками 38. Внутри несущего основания закреплены на шарнирах складные панели, соединенные с механизмом их перемещения. В углах торцевых стенок несущего основания на опорных подшипниках закреплены поворотные кронштейны 28 с механизмами 31, 32 вертикального перемещения кузова-контейнера. Одна пара поворотных кронштейнов 28 расположена в углублениях неподвижных боковых стенок, не контактируя с подвижными боковыми стенками основания, а другая пара поворотных кронштейнов 28, закреплена в углах задней торцевой стенки несущего основания кузова-контейнера. Перед приведением в действие механизма вертикального перемещения кузова-контейнера 2, также разворачивают от несущего основания его поворотные кронштейны 28, закрепленные на задней торцевой стенке кузова-контейнера, а разворот поворотных кронштейнов, закрепленных в передней части боковых сторон кузова-контейнера, осуществляют из углублений этой части.
