Abstract

This pressure drop reduction is accomplished by transporting the hydraulic loss reducing agent through a long, small diameter pipeline and then injecting the hydraulic loss reducing agent into the underlying fluid at a remote location to obtain a treated fluid. The treated fluid is then removed from a remote location via a production/transport pipeline. The presence of a hydraulic loss reducing agent in the treated fluid reduces the pressure drop associated with flow through the production/transport pipeline.
