Abstract

The invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to devices for downhole sampling of formation fluid from wells while operating oil fields. The device consists of a casing, a sampler, a guide, external and internal pipes, a stepped bar, plate spring with rivets, valve rods, springs, a conical valve, a chamber, a ball valve, and a stopper. The sampler operates as follows. Before lowering into the well through the sampler, it is necessary to press the guide with the rod, thus displacing the inner pipe with plate springs till the rivets hit the bores at the external pipe, at the same time the upper spring is compressed, and the lower spring is released and moves the stepped rod up, which stops the inner pipe, and the valve stem moves up and fixes the conical and ball valves in the open position. In that position the formation fluid can freely pass through chamber of the device. Upon reaching the desired depth and filling the device with formation water, the device is hoisted up to the surface. The sampler can freely move up to the CCP clutch joint to abut the ends of the wire into the connection and move the stepped rod down to compress the spring, while leaf springs with rivets come out of the holes of the outer pipe, and the spring pushes the valve stem to close the conical and ball valves. With conical and ball valves closed, the device gets hoisted up to the surface. The inventors have successfully conducted bed tests of the sampler aimed to select the optimal design and verify its operation capacity. Utilization of the sampler can significantly cut back the expenses to sample downhole fluids from arbitrary depth at oil fields.
