Abstract

The present invention relates to a board element (5) formed by a lengthened section, comprising at an inner surface two adhesive bands extending longitudinally, wherein each first band is adhesive on its face opposite to the lengthened section and obtained by longitudinal folding of the sheet (6), and the other band is stuck to the lengthened section.

Description

The present invention generally relates to sills and other border elements of floor or wall coverings.

State of the art

Powders are elements fixed on the floor of residential, office or industrial premises at the level of the joints of two different floor coverings or two floor coverings of different levels. Powder performs both a functional and aesthetic role. It protects the edges of adjacent floor coverings and hides their irregularities, thus forming a clear and straight dividing line.

Other border elements forming border borders are used between the boundary of the floor covering and the wall also for functional and / or aesthetic reasons. For example, when the flooring is parquet, it is advisable to leave a gap between the parquet boundary and the wall in order to avoid expansion problems. The curb stop hides the gap and protects the edge of the coating.

Border elements are also used for walls, for example, as a plinth or dividing strip for wall coverings.

In FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view and an isometric view showing a known threshold 2, called a rocker threshold, in a position on the floor 11, on which coverings of different heights, respectively 12 and 13, for example, carpet and tile, are laid. Spank 2 contains a slightly convex visible upper part, possibly painted or completely or partially covered with material to give it the necessary aesthetic aspect. In FIG. 2, a nail 3 is shown in isometry, the shape of the head of which is well adapted for the wings 24 of the nut 2. This head 31 has the shape of a half cylinder perpendicular to the nail shaft 32, and has a flat shape from the side opposite this nail. This half cylinder 31 forms a slider made with the introduction of the backstage 24. This slightly elongated shape of the sliders 31 avoids the rotation of the heads of the nails and, therefore, the rods 32 of the nails 3 in a plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the backstage. Thus, the rods cannot lie in the wings during the deepening phase. In the example shown in FIG. 3, the nail 3 is a dowel pin made of plastic material, equipped with ribs 33 to prevent it from being pulled out and intended to be deepened directly into the hole made in the floor.

An advantage of the systems shown in FIG. 1 and 2, is ease of use. Indeed, it is enough to prepare a linear row of holes in the floor, and not necessarily at exactly the same distance from each other. D 3, the number corresponding to the number of holes is installed in the wings, after which the nails are moved by sliding to position them in front of the corresponding holes, then the sills are subjected to pressure, leading to the deepening of the nails. This deepening can be done simply by stepping your foot on the threshold.

In the example shown in FIG. 1 and 2, the lower part of the backstage 23 is preferably U-shaped, defining a support edge 25 (FIG. 1), which essentially rests on the center of the upper flat side of the head 31 of the nail 3. In addition, the space between the opposing the edges of the ribs 21 and 22 are larger than the diameter of the nail 32 nail 32. Thus, after the nail is put in place and until the nails are completely deepened, the sills can slightly rotate around the heads of the nails, while the axis of rotation corresponds to the supporting edge 25. This allows you to achieve positioning with stronger iem at different heights displacement between coatings 12 and 13. As shown in FIG. 1, the inner walls of the ribs 21 and 22 closer to their ends have a shape corresponding to the rounding of the slider 31. The angle V defining the support edge 25 is preferably determined so that in the extreme position of the slope the nut should have simultaneously the support of the nail shaft on one of the edges of the ribs 21 , 22 and the top of the nail head onto one of the side surfaces V.

The lance shown in FIG. 1 is described in European Patent 0588734 registered in the name of the applicant.

Other rocker wings are also known, which in their lower part comprise a rocker adapted for a screw head or dowel pin. For example, screw heads can have any desired cylindrical shape, for example, can be made in the form of cylinders of circular cross section. Similarly, in a simple embodiment, the nail rods may be threaded rods.

A design opposite to that shown in FIG. 1, in which the backstage bottom 23 is substantially flat, and the nail head 31 has a convex U-shape, and the edge of this Y-shaped convexity defines a rotation axis.

Drilling holes in the floor or wall to secure the border element is not always possible or desirable. In this case, border elements are used that are glued to the surface of the coating.

In FIG. 3 partially shows in isometry another powder called an adhesive powder. Like the nut 2 shown in FIG. 1, the nut 4 is intended to close the dividing line between two coatings 13 and 12 (for example, of different heights). The appearance of the nut 4 is similar to the nut 2, and it thus contains a slightly convex visible upper part, possibly painted or completely or partially covered with material to give it the necessary aesthetic aspect. The fastening of the nut 4 is carried out by gluing. To do this, on the inner side of the nut 4 near its longitudinal edges previously applied two rollers 41 and 42 of glue. As a rule, before installation, these rollers are protected by peelable paper tape, which the user removes to press the nut.

The disadvantage of glue rollers is that they create a thickening that worsens the appearance. In addition, over time, when used, the adhesive rollers tend to flow, which leads to a displacement of the nut or to loss of adhesion of the adhesive.

Solutions are also known according to which a double-sided adhesive is placed under it to fix the nut. However, this solution can only be used for flat sills. Indeed, such an adhesive tape does not adhere if it is placed under a threshold of variable height, for example, under a convex threshold. Therefore, it cannot be used for sills intended for coatings of variable or different heights.

There is a need for simple and reliable gluing of a convex nut, if necessary with level compensation.

Document OV-L-2425785 describes a profiled system for joining the edges of adjacent panels. This system comprises a rear part comprising an intermediate connecting element and a front part whose intermediate connecting element cooperates with an intermediate connecting element of the rear part. The two sides of the front part contain adhesive tapes.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

According to an embodiment, the present invention is intended to provide a glue sill or other border element that can completely or partially eliminate the disadvantages of the known sills.

According to an embodiment, the present invention is also intended to provide a simple and effective gluing solution.

According to an embodiment, the present invention is also intended to provide a solution specifically designed for variable height sills.

According to a variant implementation, the present invention is also intended to offer a combined solution with gluing or with a backstage.

To solve these problems, the invention proposes a border element made in the form of an elongated profile, containing on the lower side two first adhesive tapes extending in the longitudinal direction, each first tape being adhesive on the side opposite to the profile, and it is obtained by longitudinal folding of the sheet, whose second tape is glued to the profile.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the second tape is adhered to the underside of the profile.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the second tape is glued to the upper side of the profile.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the second tape is a profile coating.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the first adhesive tape in section is offset inside the profile relative to its edges.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the border element further comprises an open longitudinal link on the underside.

Detailed description

Identical elements are denoted by the same positions in different figures, which are presented without observing the scale. For reasons of simplification, only those elements that are necessary for understanding the invention are shown and will be described in the figures. In particular, a detailed description of the manufacture of profiles of border elements for which the present invention is intended is omitted. In addition, the invention will be described in connection with an application for sills, however, the described embodiments can generally be applied to any border element, regardless of whether it is a floor or wall covering element. In addition, the invention will be described in connection with an example of a convex sill, but can be generally applied to any sill or border element, preferably of variable height.

In the future, the terms top, bottom, bottom, top, etc. will be used to indicate orientation or position. relative to the nut in the position of use on the floor.

In FIG. 4, an isometric embodiment of the adhesive nut is partially shown in isometry.

In FIG. 5 isometric partially illustrates the tape for gluing the nut shown in FIG. 4.

As in the previous case, in this example, the sill 5 contains a slightly convex visible upper part 51, if necessary, possibly tinted or completely or partially covered with material to give it the necessary aesthetic aspect. Most often, the nut 5 is made of aluminum.

On the inner side near the edges of the nut, two adhesive tapes are placed. Each tape is formed by a single-sided adhesive tape 6 or a sheet folded in the longitudinal direction (fold 61 in Fig. 5) so that the adhesive sides are exclusively outside the resulting U-shaped. The first half 63 of the tape, arbitrarily selected at the top, of each tape 6e, 6th (Fig. 4) is pre-glued along each edge of the lower side of the nut 5, while the fold V is directed outward. The protective film (64, FIG. 5), for example, from peelable paper is retained prior to installation in order to protect the adhesive 65 of the lower half 62 of the tape intended for mounting on the floor.

In practice, the tape 6 is made of a backing sheet 66 coated with a thin adhesive film, then a protective film 64. For use on the underside of the nut, this adhesive sheet is folded in half and the protective film 64 is preferably cut in the longitudinal direction to pre-adhere the sheet tape to the underside of the nut (preferably at the factory). Preferably, the tape 6 is slightly shifted relative to the edge of the nut to avoid thickening.

The installation of the nut is extremely simple: the user removes the protective tape 64 from the two edges of the nut and presses it to the floor. As it turned out unexpectedly, folding sheet 6 gives it a spring effect, which, although insignificant, is still sufficient to press the loose strip 62 to the floor using adhesive. This effect can be enhanced if during installation the user gradually removes the protective strips 64 in the longitudinal direction as they are laid. If necessary, the user can first glue one of the two edges and glue it, then glue the second edge, as described above.

After gluing the nut, the pressure exerted on it flattens the fold and eliminates any thickening.

The material of the substrate 66 of the adhesive film may be a sheet of paper or plastic. The advantage of using plastic is to give the film extra strength and a better spring effect during installation. Alternatively, other materials can be used, for example a sheet of metal or composite.

In FIG. 6 shows a view in the installation position of another embodiment of the nut 5, also illustrating its possible options.

In the example shown in FIG. 6, smoothing of the level between two coatings 12 and 13 laid on the floor 11 is assumed. Adhesive tapes 62e (left in the figure) and 62nd (right in the figure) are supported by their adhesive layers on the coatings 12 and 13 and provide gluing of the nut 5 without forming a thickening.

In FIG. 6 shows the first embodiment, according to which the halves of the tape mounted on the profile are a continuation of the cover 52 on its upper side. These extensions, usually bent and glued to the nut, in this case, are, on the contrary, adhesive on their outer side (adhesive tapes 65 '). According to another embodiment not shown, half of the tape 63 folded as shown in FIG. 5 are inserted between the coating 52 and the profile of the nut 5.

FIG. 6 illustrates another embodiment, according to which the sill is equipped on the inner side with ribs 21 and 22 defining the link 24, which allows mounting with a screw or dowel (3, FIG. 2). This option illustrates the ability to perform a combined nut, i.e. glue and rocker. Thus, it is possible to simplify the range of sold sills or similar curb elements. The user can, at his choice, fasten the threshold with the wings or stick it on or use both possibilities at the same time.

FIG. 7 illustrates another example of an installation in which a sill 5 ′ is glued to the edge of the cover 12 of the floor 11 along the wall 15. First, the sill 5 ′ is glued by one of its tapes 6ά to the wall 15, revealing a crease. Then it is folded onto the coating 12, where its tape 6d provides adhesion.

An advantage of the fold 61 (either on tape 6 or at the level of the folds 52 of the coating) is that it provides a relatively large adhesive thickness (see FIG. 6) due to the fact that the adhesive tape or half of the tape is displaced in section from the edge of the nut . In this case, after gluing, no thickening remains.

Various embodiments are described in the present invention, and one skilled in the art can make various versions and changes. In particular, a person skilled in the art can choose adhesive tape materials based on the above functionalities and depending on the application. In the same way, the sizes (width of tapes) of gluing can be adapted depending on the width of the border elements.
